Arbetets syfte är att analysera ett företags trådlösa nätverk för att kunna hitta eventuella säkerhetshål. Målet är att göra nätverket mer säkert för att kunna stå emot attacker. Metoden som används är att intervjua IT-ansvarig på företaget för att få en bra överblick över hur det trådlösa nätverket ser ut. Det tillämpas även en riskanalys för att till slut använda en kombination av intervjun och riskanalysen för att komma fram till ett resultat. Resultatet visar att företaget har flera säkerhetshål i sitt trådlösa nätverk. Säkerhetsbristerna företaget har utgår från att en datahackare måste finns på insidan av nätverket för att kunna utnyttja säkerhetshålen fullständigt. Även åtgärder ges till företaget så att de kan åtgärda de säkerhetshål som har hittats. För övrigt håller nätverket hög standard.

The purpose of the study is to observe a corporate wireless network to find potential security holes. The goal of this is to make the network more secure and able to withstand attacks. The method is to interview the IT manager at the company to get a good overview of how their wireless network looks like. It's also applied a risk analysis to eventually use acombination of a risk analysis and interview to get results. The results show that the company has several security holes in their wireless network. Safety flaws that the company has is based on that a hacker must be on the inside of the network to take advantage of these security holes. Measures have been given to the company so that they can fix the security holes that have been found. But the company is keeping high standards overall.
