In this report, we have investigated the problem of assembling gears at station G1000. The current tool is not ergonomic and has caused bodily injuries, and the tool breaks. Our goal was to find a better alternative that reduces the strain on the body and has a longer lifespan. We developed five different solutions: three manual tools with improved ergonomics and a higher lifespan, a semi-automatic tool, and a fully automatic tool, where the fully automatic solution provides maximum relief but with a higher cost and complexity.
