Phishing : Why do you click on insecure links? (English)
Abstract [en]

Phishing is currently one of the most commonly used methods used to deceive individuals into disclosing sensitive information. In this study, we examine why adults click on unsafe links despite increased awareness and technological protection. Through a quantitative survey with 55 respondents, we analyzed which factors influence the likelihood of clicking on suspicious links in digital contexts.

The results show that trust in filters, perceived ability to detect phishing, personality traits, age, and user behavior all play a role. We use Protection Motivation Theory (PMT as a theoretical framework to understand behavioral patterns.
