Abstract [en]
In today's evolving IT landscape, system monitoring is essential for ensuring stability, performance, and accessibility. This report explores system monitoring in Linux-based environments, with a particular focus on the strengths of Prometheus and Grafana.
Prometheus excels in collecting detailed time-series metrics, which aid in detecting performance bottlenecks and improving system scalability. Grafana complements this by providing interactive dashboards that offer a comprehensive overview of system performance and support better decision-making.
The report also addresses challenges such as system complexity and steep learning curves. To mitigate these, it emphasizes the importance of user-friendly interfaces and adequate training. Overall, the findings highlight the increasing relevance of monitoring tools in modern IT systems and their potential to drive innovation and scalability.
