Organisationslojalitet, karaktäriserat som attityd och beteende, har visat sig influera den enskildes prestation och organisationers personalomsättning. Organisationskultur genomsyrar hela organisationen genom att influera dess rutiner, regler, strukturer och normer. Syftet med studien var att undersöka huruvida organsiationslojalitet och positiv organisationskultur samvarierar bland yrkesverksamma i Sverige.

Tidigare forskning indikerar att det finns ett positivt, signifikant samband mellan de två fenomenen. Detta har härlett till följande hypotes, “Det finns ett starkt positivt signifikant samband mellan organisationslojalitet och positiv organisationskultur”. Studien genomfördes genom en kvantitativ ansats med webbenkät som metod. Enkäten har publicerats på sociala plattformar. Det mätinstrument som har tillämpats är Organizational Commitment Questionnaire (OCQ) och Positive Practice Survey (PPS).

Sammanställningen av datan har analyserats i programvaran IBM SPSS Statistics version 30. Resultatet visade på en stark positiv korrelation mellan organisationslojalitet och positiv organisationskultur (r = .68). Resultatet går i linje med tidigare forskningsresultat. Resultatet kan förklaras med hjälp av den sociala utbytesteorin, som förklarar att positiva insatser från organisationen leder till positiv återgäldning från sina anställda.

Abstract [en]

Organizational loyalty, characterized as an attitude and a behavior, has been shown to influence individual performance and organizational turnover. Organizational culture permeates the entire organization by influencing its practices, rules, structures and norms. It encourages as well as constrains behaviours and decision-making in the organization. The purpose of the study was to investigate whether organizational loyalty and positive organizational culture co-vary among professionals in Sweden.

Previous research suggests that there is a positive, significant relationship between the two phenomena. This has led to the following hypothesis, “There is a strong positive significant relationship between organizational loyalty and positive organizational culture”. The study has been conducted through a quantitative approach using an online survey as a method. The survey has been published on social platforms. The measurement instruments used were the Organizational Commitment Questionnaire (OCQ) and the Positive Practice Survey (PPS).

The data was analyzed in IBM SPSS Statistics software. The results showed a strong positive correlation between organizational loyalty and positive organizational culture (r = .68). This indicates that previous research is consistent with the results. The result can be explained using the social exchange theory, which explains that positive efforts from the organization lead to positive reciprocation from its employees.
