Abstract [en]

This master’s thesis explores the role of technological innovation in the internationalization process of firms, focusing on BraunAbility’s Driver Test Station "Drive Cap" as a case study. It examines key internationalization theories, such as the Uppsala model and Born Globals, to understand their application to high-tech companies. BraunAbility employs a hybrid strategy, blending gradual experiential learning with rapid global expansion, demonstrating the synergy between innovation and internationalization.

Primary data collected through semi-structured interviews with BraunAbility stakeholders reveal that continuous product refinement based on international customer feedback is crucial for global success. The study underscores the importance of developing learning capabilities and strategic networks to support international growth and adaptation.

The findings indicate that by integrating customer feedback and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, high-tech firms can navigate the complexities of international markets and achieve sustainable growth. This thesis contributes to the academic understanding of internationalization strategies within the realm of technological innovation and offers practical recommendations for firms seeking to enhance their global presence through innovative practices.
