This report represents the culmination of a thesis project focusing on the development of a wing system for a snow-clearing winged bucket, conducted for Kellfri AB. The project initiates a process to develop a new winged bucket, where Kellfri AB currently lacks its own wing system.The project has developed concepts through a process called "The Creative Sandwich," which begins with information gathering including archive analysis, benchmarking, literature studies, and measurements. Measurements have been conducted on a winged bucket manufactured by an affiliated company of Kellfri AB. The work has been divided between brainstorming concepts and knowledge development.The concept problem is divided into three main categories, where each category is combined to produce concepts. In the screening of concepts, ideation, a function table, and a concept screening matrix based on Pugh's theories are used. The remaining concepts undergo an iterative process where each concept is analyzed with FEA and evaluated in a final scoring matrix.To maximize flexibility for Kellfri AB, three concepts have been presented: a 70 bar system, a 90 bar system, and a 120 bar system, each with a wing design per concept. Two of the winged concepts use the same form and reinforcement on the side of the bucket, which occurred when these elements converged during the iterative development process.All three concepts are considered suitable candidates to become physical prototypes. The results should be viewed as an evaluation of the concepts and their digital models since no physical tests have been conducted.
