    Abstract [en]

    The aim of the presented study was to describe how obese adolescents experience themselves and their bodies and how their views changed as a result of participation in a weight loss program. A total of five adolescents were interviewed in this qualitative study. Data were analyzed by means of content analysis. One main theme emerged, “Growing as a human being”, which comprised four themes based on 13 sub-themes. Being part of a weight loss program was a time of transition that led not only to weight reduction but also to a higher level of well-being and a feeling of dignity.

    Abstract [en]

    The purpose of the study is to examine and analyze how different agencies and organizations are acting to integrate unaccompanied children in Swedish society after they received a residence permit/asylum. The method that were used was a qualitative approach and includes three interviews and two documents. The analysis that were used was thematic analysis and qualitative content analysis. The theoretical framework consisted of the concepts of integration, marginalization and socialization. The results revealed seven themes that were to promote integration, employment, children's own participation, religion and culture, opinions,

    participation and knowledge of obligations. In what came up in the concluded was that good man, feeling a participatory and hold an employment promoted integration were important factors for the unaccompanied children. The religion emerged partly be a limitation and an opportunity for the individual integration. The rights and obligation of the produced included the participation in his asylum case and an opportunity to influence this, organizations and government agencies are obliged to take responsibility for creating a functional integration.

    Abstract [en]

    The purpose of this report is to describe and develop a model used to determine demand permissions regarding power quality on behalf of Vattenfall Distribution. The purpose of the model is to calculate the level of current harmonics allowed for different types of energy subscriptions by studying how harmonics spread in a power grid and how subscribers affect each other. This model needs to be described seeing that the documentation of the original model was lacking. The model also needs to be further developed to increase the flexibility and its ease of use.

    Harmonics are a phenomenon that occurs on the power grid and are generated by non-linear loads like EV-chargers and photovoltaic systems. If the harmonic distortion level is too high, grid connected electronics can experience issues or stop working.

    There are a number of standards, reports and regulations regarding emission rights considering harmonics. This report summarizes three of these as a background to how emissions are regulated today (2018). Two of these papers focus on voltage harmonics levels which is also the case for Vattenfall Distributions governing documents. Vattenfall Distribution needs to develop a new method to determine these current harmonics emission levels, and the model is a part of that process.

    A thorough analysis and mapping of the model were made to produce the documentation for the model. The model was then further developed to allow for more flexibility and could be simplified compared to the original model.

    The original model is considered to fulfil its purpose and therefore no structural changes have been made. The changes that have been made have been implemented to make the model as flexible and user friendly as possible. To help the user to understand the model, a flowchart was made to describe the structure and internal workings of the model.

    The authors believe that a thorough and detailed documentation of the model has been produced and that the model fulfills the purpose of producing representative values to determine demand permissions regarding power quality. The model has been restructured and is now perspicuous and easy to use. However the result from the model is highly dependent of the input data and it's important that it is of good quality.

    Abstract [sv]

    För att förbättra elleveransen till kund genomför Vattenfall Eldistribution AB en successiv kablifiering av mellanspänningsnätet. En effekt av denna kablifiering är att näten får förändrade systemegenskaper. Förändringen innebär att det vid ett jordfel skapas en oönskad resistiv strömkomponent (Ir) från ledningssystemet, vilket ger problem med de elsäkerhetskrav som ställs. En förutsättning för att hantera jordfelsströmmar i stora kabelnät är att Ir reduceras, för detta ändamål saknas idag väl fungerande tekniska lösningar. Detta arbete syftar till att genomföra en analys av systemegenskaper vid kablifiering. Vidare är syftet att ta fram ett underlag för kravspecificering av kablar samt söka svar på frågan om hur man med hjälp av utlokaliserade spolar kan minimera de negativa verkningar som kablifiering av näten medför. Resultat från studien visar att Ir kan minska genom att öka kablars skärmarea och minska dess kapacitans, störst effekt ger en förändring av kapacitansen. Vidare visar arbetet att nätens konfiguration påverkar storleken på Ir, störst problem ger långsträckta nät. En effektiv metod att reducera Ir är att tillämpa utlokaliserad kompensering, alltså spolar placerade ute i näten. Metoden är särskilt effektiv på långa utledningar. En annan effekt av utlokaliserade reaktorer är att betydelsen av kablarnas elektriska egenskaper minskar. I denna studie framkommer inga alternativ till utlokaliserad kompensering i stora kabelnät.

    Bakgrund:Berätta en saga! När vi varit på Vfu har barnen bett att man ska läsa för dem. Att det också har en stor del i förskolans vardag har vi märkt under vår utbildning till lärare i förskola/förskoleklass. Men vad är det med saga som är så speciellt och hur använder man sig av den i den pedagogiska verksamheten i förskolan? Det här vill vi med vår studie ta reda på. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur pedagoger och barn talar om saga, vilken betydelse den har och hur de säger att de använder den. Metod: I undersökningen har vi använt oss av intervjuer och även gjort en observation. Vi har intervjuat sex förskollärare och åtta barn. Resultat: I resultatet har framkommit vad pedagoger och barn säger om saga. De menar att saga är en berättelse som läses ur en bok eller berättas muntligt, ibland med hjälp av bilder. För barnen kan det även vara ett kassettband eller en film. Pedagogerna betonar att en saga förmedlar ett budskap och att det är en form av kommunikation mellan den som berättar och de som lyssnar. De anser även att det finns mycket att lära av saga: sociala färdigheter, att lära av text och innehåll och saga som upplevelse. Barnen nämner bland annat att man kan lära sig att läsa. Ifråga om skapande verksamhet, alltså olika estetiska uttrycksformer, visar resultatet att det inte är så vanligt att rita, måla, dramatisera osv. efter saga, men däremot när de har temaarbete på förskolan. Olika sätt att påverka miljö/stämning har också framkommit. Både pedagoger och barn poängterar de yttre faktorerna som till exempel var det är viktigt att sitta vid sagoläsning. Pedagogerna tar även upp om den inre betydelsen som att väcka olika känslor och att barnen då får inlevelse i sagan

    Abstract [en]

    The purpose of this paper is to explore how mediation activities in Sweden is made by a Swedish authority. It's about how the participants mention mediation, and how the need for changes that are around mediation as a tool in crime prevention works. My two questions is about how actors view mediation and what it takes for mediation to work between all levels within the various authorities. Through the work I have used the concept of restorative justice and demonstrated how it differs from the retributive justice. Restorative justice is about how to repair an injury, which is one of mediation purposes and where the perpetrator and victim are given the opportunity to meet in mediation. The retributive justice involves the offender and the victim meeting in the courtroom.

    I have used the Social Board report "

    Mediation in crime for young offenders". It is about how local government works with mediation, but is also an analysis of the need to support mediation activities. The report highlights the problem areas and the way to success.

    The method I used is Michel Foucault's discourse analysis. The result of the analysis is about the discourses I find in the report .What I would like to show is that mediation is portrayed as both an opportunity and a problem. I find a comprehensive need of discourse, a discourse of knowledge and an administrative discourse .Then I also present an economic discourse that is not as clear as the other discoursers, and obligations and rights within discourses.

    Abstract [en]

    By the beginning of 2015 a couple of new articles in the Swedish Planning and Building Act (PBL) were introduced. For the first time in history there are specific sections that regulate Swedish development agreements. The purpose is the political will to create a faster and simpler planning process. Among other things it is about creating transparency and an openness in the procedure so that a constructor can calculate in advance their costs for a certain project. At the same time it is also about giving the municipality and its residents awareness of the consequences of the agreement. The purpose of this study is to straighten out how to interpret the notion "to institute" in PBL 6:40. The method used was both quantitative with a conducted survey and qualitative with interviews. The survey was sent to all 290 municipalities in Sweden and got a responserate of 57 %. Interviews were made with four persons in the trade and seven municipalities.

    The results show that a majority of the Swedish municipalities construct public areas with municipal mandatorship, when the municipality does not own the land, with a public procurement according to the Swedish Act on Public Contracts (LOU). A couple of the municipalities admit that they make exceptions for contracts with minor monetary values. At the end of the day the civil servants of the municipalities are dubious about changing their work procedures, to one where the developer is allowed to construct, because the legal position is uncertain. The results also clearly show that there is, in general, a great insecurity and confusion about the notion "to institute" and its interpretation among both civil servants and persons in the trade. It appears that a public procurement should always be used when the trigger value is transcended or when there is a cross-border interest. In other cases the legal position is unclear and it seems that PBL 6:40 and LOU collide, even though these legalisations should exist in harmony. For that reason a clarification about how the interpretation should be done is needed in the law.

    Bakgrund: Elever ges få möjligheter att kommunicera matematik i skolan. Att samtala om matematik har visat sig vara en fördel för elevers kunskapsutveckling då de genom utbyte av matematiska tankar och idéer kan förbättra sitt lärande genom att synliggöra nya tankebanor och lösningsprocesser för varandra. Dock möts elever vanligtvis av en envägskommunikation från lärare, vilket kan medföra att deras kreativa tänkande hämmas. Då matematiska samtal har betydelse för elevers kunskapsutveckling motiverades vi till att undersöka hur samtalsstrategier kan utveckla elever till att kommunicera matematik och förklara och redogöra för sina tankebanor och lösningsstrategier. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att belysa om kommunikationsstrategier i form av Talk Moves kan bidra till att utveckla elevers förmåga att uttrycka sina tankar när de arbetar med uppgifter i matematik. Metod: Studiens empiriska material samlades in genom observationer och tre fokusgruppsintervjuer samt ljudupptagning vid samtliga tillfällen. Vi utförde tre lektioner i matematik med elever från årskurs 2. I genomförandet intog en av oss rollen som deltagande observatör och tillämpade Talk Moves på eleverna, medan den andra intog en passiv observationsroll och använde ett observationsschema för att observera elevernas utveckling. Efter samtliga lektionstillfällen genomförde vi fokusgruppsintervjuer där vi delade gruppen på hälften och intervjuade fem elever vardera. Resultat: Vårt resultat visar att eleverna upplever att matematiska samtal kan vara svårt och därmed behövde de mer stöttande frågor vid första lektionen. Resultatet visar att eleverna till en början upplevde att matematiska samtal var svårt, men att de vid andra och tredje lektionstillfället utvecklades i samtalen och kunde redogöra för sina egna och kamraternas strategier för att lösa matematiska uppgifter. Efter hand blev eleverna bättre på att kommunicera matematik i den mening att de kunde förklara och redogöra bättre för sina tankebanor. Elevernas upplevelser av matematiska samtal som designats utifrån Talk Moves var att det blev lättare för varje tillfälle och att det var positivt i den bemärkelse att de fick lära sig nya lösningsstrategier av varandra.

    Bakgrund

    Svenska elevers läsförmåga och studieresultat i svenskämnet har enligt internationella kunskapsmätningar försämrats. Orsakerna till de försämrade studieresultaten beskrivs vara många. Det framkommer bland annat i forskningen att lärarens ledarskap i klassrummet påverkar elevens lärande. Däremot finns det begränsat med studier kring hur verksamma lärare talar om sitt ledarskap och dess betydelse för elevernas lärande som en följd av elevernas försämrade prestationer.

    Syfte

    Det övergripande syftet med studien var att få kunskap om hur verksamma svenskalärare talar om sitt ledarskap i klassrummet och vilken betydelse lärare anser att ledarskapet har för elevernas lärande. Studiens syfte har konkretiserats i följande frågeställningar:

    • Hur anser lärarna i studien att olika faktorer och ledarskapsstilar kan påverka elevernas lärande?

    • Vilka uppfattningar har lärarna i studien om möjliga samband mellan sitt ledarskap och elevernas lärande?

    Metod

    Undersökningen har en kvalitativ forskningsansats där individuella intervjuer användes som datainsamlingsmetod. Fyra intervjuer genomfördes med tre verksamma lärare i svenska och en verksam specialpedagog, som i grunden är lärare i svenska. Samtliga informanter arbetar med elever på lågstadiet från årskurs ett till tre. Det insamlade datamaterialet transkriberades ordagrant och analyserades utifrån ett socialkonstruktivistiskt synsätt.

    Resultat

    Undersökningens resultat utgörs endast av de fyra enskilda lärarnas uppfattningar och erfarenheter av sitt ledarskap i klassrummet samt dess betydelse för elevernas lärande. Undersökningen visade att lärarna anser att den demokratiska ledarskapsstilen, där elevinflytande är i fokus, gynnar deras elevers lärande. Vidare nämner lärarna i studien framförallt de personliga egenskaperna som betydelsefulla faktorer i sitt ledarskap. Framförallt bör de i sitt ledarskap vara tydliga, engagerade, positiva och trygga för att det ska gynna elevernas lärande. Resultatet utifrån lärarna i studiens uppfattningar om sitt ledarskap visar dessutom att de tror att flera olika orsaker finns till elevernas försämrade studieresultat, dock uppfattar lärarna att det finns samband mellan deras eget ledarskap i klassrummet och elevernas lärande.

    Background: Hypertension is a common disease and over half of all deaths in cardiovascular disease are caused by complications of hypertension. The basis of the treatment is non-pharma-cological and includes lifestyle changes such as physical activity and diet change. Only few patients reach the treatment goal and are well treated, therefor it’s important for the health care service to have a greater understanding on how patients experience implementing lifestyle changes in hypertension.

    Aim: The aim of this study was to describe patient’s experience of implementing lifestyle changes in hypertension.

    Method: A qualitative-based literature study was used. Ten qualitative articles from PubMed, Cinahl and Proquest was analysed by the five-step method described by Friberg (2012).

    Results: Two main themes emerged under the analyse process. The two main themes were: opportunities and barriers, with the sub themes: knowledge, attitude, social, comorbidity, time, society and economy.

    Conclusion: Patients with hypertension experience opportunities and barriers to implement lifestyle changes in hypertension. Patients with good knowledge and a more positive attitude towards their disease had a greater opportunity to implement lifestyle changes in their life. The results also showed that patients had different recourses and assets that affect their possibility to follow and succeed with lifestyle changes. Therefore the nurse should work towards a person-centred care. This provided opportunities for each patient as an individual to obtain knowledge, motivation and good conditions to create and establish self-care.

    Abstract [en]

    The issue of gender and equality in organizations is a highly relevant topic of investigation. Organizations are according to Swedish law (SFS 1991:433, §9 & Diskrimineringsombudsmannen, 2009) obliged to constantly work to achieve equal work conditions for their employees. The aim of this study is to investigate how the company work and can be able to work with gender and equality in order to eventually get equal groups and departments. The was carried out by means of interviews with people working in a company in West Sweden. Codes and themes have been identified through thematic analysis of the material. The results show that recruitment is a salient factor that the respondents pointed out as significant with regard to gender and equality work in the company. Commitment and focus are additional factors that respondents believe are important to create a significant foundation for implementing such a major change. We conclude that it is important that organizations work actively to create more equal workgroups and departments.

    Tidigare forskning om läxor är relativt begränsad. Eftersom eleven är skolans viktigaste aktör är det betydelsefullt att undersöka läxor utifrån elevperspektivet för att de ska få möjlighet till inflytande och påverkan. Det finns mer forskning som utgår från föräldrar- och lärarperspektivet än vad det finns tidigare och aktuell forskning som utgår från elevens perspektiv vid läxarbetet. Syftet med denna studie var därför att undersöka vad eleven anser om läxor utifrån fyra forskningsfrågor:

    • Hur ofta har eleven läxor?

    • Anser eleven att han/hon behöver och får stöd vid läxläsning?

    • Anser eleven att han/hon gynnas kunskapsmässigt genom arbetet med läxor?

    • Vilka känslor förknippar eleven med läxarbetet?

    För att få svar på undersökningens syfte och forskningsfrågor användes kvantitativ enkätmetod. Ett bekvämlighetsurval, icke slumpmässigt urval, gjordes av såväl kostnadsmässiga som tidsmässiga skäl. Enkäten besvarades av 80 elever i årkurs tre.

    Resultatet av undersökningen visar att majoriteten av eleverna beskriver att kunskapsutvecklingen gynnas genom arbetet med läxor men att det är på bekostnad av att de tvingas avstå från andra fritidsaktiviteter. Resultatet visar att majoriteten av eleverna har två eller tre läxor i veckan samt att cirka 90 % av eleverna får stöd vid läxläsningen. Undersökningen visar även att de flesta eleverna är lugna vid läxarbetet, dock förknippar cirka 80 % av eleverna någon form av negativ känsla med läxarbetet

    Abstract [en]

    Forensic psyhiatric care protects the society by giving patients care to diminish risks of serious crimes. In their work the nurses use different care methods to help and support the patient in managing his or her life situation. To clarify how a group of nurses describe the nursing process in forensic psychiatric care. A qualitative study based on interviews. Six nurses were interviewed about their work in four different forensic psychiatric care units. The nursing process in is divided into four categories: evaluation, planning, implementation and assessment. The results are based on the way the interviewed nurses described the essential roles of nurse-patient relationship and structured routines in nursing process. The study also shows some specific difficulties in nursing work, for example the mental dysfunctions of patients, the level of competence among staff and the patients need for social interaction and existence beyond their specific needs.

    Abstract [en]

    Although the work in home care businesses most often are mobile, the documentation and information management often occurs in information systems through desktop computers. The need for mobile solutions have become more relevant as they may contribute to increased safety, improved quality and time savings. However, research shows that business knowledge is often overlooked in the development of health systems, which contributes to IT support that are not adapted to the business needs. This study aims to increase understanding on how home care staff believes that mobile IT support the care work and organization routines.

    The study was conducted in a home care business through qualitative interviews of six respondents and a thematic analysis model has been used, containing three theoretical areas: Efficiency, Ease of use and Usability, Satisfaction and Motivation. The results show that a mobile IT support would represent a clear advantage in the business and that the existing information system could either be supplemented or replaced. However, the staff still have fears and negative attitudes towards the obstacles and risks of what new technologies can bring to the table.

    Background: Dementia not only affects the individual patient, but also healthcare professionals and the relatives. It is an increasing incurable disease that affects the mind of the afflicted person. He or she will experience difficulties with either expressing oneself, recognizing daily things, performing tasks that he or she previously were able to managed or the ability to plan, initiate or complete various tasks.

    Aim: The aim of this study was to illuminate experiences of being a relative of an older person afflicted of dementia.

    Method: A literature based study was performed, analyzing 10 qualitative articles.

    Results: The results consist of two main themes, relatives experiences of support, with two subthemes, support in the care relationship and support from others in the same situation. The second theme progression of the disease and its affects on relations and feelings, with three subthemes, the partners behavioral change, a new kind of relationship and impact of the disease on feelings. These highlight significant experiences the relatives go through in relation to the disease. Support was something that may be given in different ways and the need for support was necessary. The behavioral change that comes with the disease, results in a new form of relationship with the affected. Feelings of sadness, guilt and shame were constantly present.

    Conclusion: The results shows that the relatives need support through the entire disease progression when the behavior of the affected changes and a new relationship is formed. When accepting the disease, the relatives found it easier to deal with life in general. Nurses need to have the means to respond to these relatives and to know how they experience their situation, to be able to support them in the best possible way.

    This thesis aims to analyze the representation of how the colonial past, in itself and in its consequences, is portrayed in Blood Diamond, Hotel Rwanda and The Last King of Scotland. All three movies are produced in Hollywood and they will be analyzed in an in-depth Small-N study. Our analytical framework is drawn from theories on how film creates meaning, postcolonial theory that includes concepts from Fanon, Said and Young, colonial patterns regarding Sub-Saharan Africa and finally Eurocentrism. Our three movies which serve as data, are analyzed with a qualitative content analysis through themes extracted from our theories in order for us to see how the colonial past is represented. Our findings show that in all three movies it was a representation of a colonial past portrayed in different ways regarding which theme that was being analyzed. The analysis further shows that the representation of the colonial past was seen as an underlying meaning, in the portrayal in the direct dialogues, or it was represented differently depending on whose perspective that was being told in all three movies. The intention of this thesis is to contribute to the field of Western representation of “the other” in movies and the representation of its colonial heritage.

    Background:

    The adult inpatient psychiatric care is regulated by law and allows certain amount of coercion, most commonly restraint, forced medication and seclusion. To be treated according to this law you need to suffer from a serious mental disorder, oppose to the care and have an indispensable need of care. Many studies describe patients experiences to be treated with coercion but few about health care workers experiences.

    Aim:

    To describe health care workers experiences of performing coercion in psychiatric compulsory care.

    Method:

    A literature review was made and eight articles is the basis for the result.

    Results:

    From the articles used inthis study four themes were created. These are coercions impact on relations, health care workers feelings during coercion, coercion as a necessary evil and health care workers need for reflection. The themes are presented as headlines in the result.

    Conclusion:

    To use coercive measures brings out many different feelings among health care workers. There are both positive and negative aspects about coercive measures, but not enough support and time for reflection for the health care workers that execute them. The health care workers needto be acknowledged and feel that they have made the right decision and that they used coercion as a last resort. The result shows that there is a need for reflection and support among health care workers.

    Sammanfattning:Vi har undersökt hur pedagoger arbetar med de elever som har matematiksvårigheter samt de matematiskt begåvade eleverna. Vi presenterar olika metoder för hur man kan hjälpa dessa elever och diskuterar kring begreppet "elever med särskilda behov". Vår enkätundersökning är riktad till pedagoger som undervisar matematik i skolans tidiga år. Redovisningen av resultatet sker genom stapeldiagram och sammanfattningar. Bakgrund: Vårt intresse för matematik väcktes när vi deltog i kursen didaktisk matematik. Vårt intresse har även ökat efter att vi mött ämnet ute i verksamheten. Matematik är ett ämne som tyvärr ofta uppfattas som tråkigt och jobbigt, vilket kan bero på att eleverna inte får arbeta med lämpligt material. Detta vill vi försöka ändra på i våra kommande yrkesroller. Syfte:Syftet med vår uppsats är att avgöra vilka skillnader som finns i pedagogers val av arbetssätt och arbetsformer i matematikundervisningen, med hänsyn till hur eleverna presterar gentemot de lokala målen, det vill säga de matematiskt begåvade och de elever med matematiksvårigheter. Metod:Vi har gjort en litteraturstudie för att få en bättre bakgrund på ämnet. Fortsättningsvis valde vi att skapa en enkät som är både kvalitativ och kvantitativ eftersom vi har blandat öppna och slutna frågor. Utdelning av enkäter har skett i fem kommunala skolor. Enkäternas frågor utgick från våra frågeställningar. Resultat:Pedagogerna arbetar mer med individanpassad undervisning än vad vi förväntat oss innan undersökningen. De flesta pedagogerna i vår enkätundersökning arbetar för att stimulera både de elever med svårigheter och de begåvade inom ämnet.     Background:

    Previous studies conducted on people surviving Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest (OHCA) focus on measuring health and quality of life with instruments, while little is still known about the survivors' individual experiences. To survive an OHCA is a life changing event, affecting the survivors' physical as well as psychological well-being. Aim: The aim was to illuminate the experiences of surviving an OHCA. Method: The method used was a literature review, with searches performed in the database CINAHL. Eight articles were reviewed and analyzed with a qualitative content analysis. Result: The result shows that the physical changes that emerge after a cardiac arrest gives a feeling of not being the same person as before the event. The survivors express a need to fill in the memory gap that occurred during the arrest. There was a need to remain in contact with health care providers during the recovery phase, since the survivors experience loneliness and insecurity when the contact with the health care providers is ceased. To survive an OHCA leads to insight and a deepened reflection about life and death. Conclusion: In consensus with previous studies conducted on the subject, this literature review confirms that the expe-rience of surviving an OHCA is a life changing event. It includes physical and psychological changes as well as the awakening of existential questions. To survive an Out-of-Hospital cardiac arrest means to become another person and the survivors need to receive full support from the health care providers to retain security in a changed life situation

    Skriftlig feedback är en form av bedömning som används kontinuerligt av lärare. Forskare menar att feedback är ett av de mest effektiva tillvägagångssätt för att påverka elevens prestation och inlärning, därför är feedback ett aktuellt ämne att diskutera. Det finns tidigare forskning om feedback i klassrummet, men om just skriftlig feedback finns det mindre. Grunden till denna studie ligger i ett intresse för skriftlig feedback i engelskämnet och lärares synsätt på detta. Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur lärare ger och resonerar kring skriftlig feedback i engelska. Vi har använt oss av en kvalitativ metod, där vi inhämtat skriftlig feedback som tre grundskollärare har gett på elevarbeten i årskurs 5 och 6. Vi har sedan intervjuat lärarna med den inhämtade feedbacken som underlag. Resultatet har jämförts med den tidigare forskningen. Studien visar att samtliga lärare finner ett tydligt samband mellan feedback, motivation och lärande då alla de lärare vi intervjuat fokuserat starkt på motivation i förhållande till den feedback de ger. Alla lärare föredrog även att lämna muntlig feedback framför skriftlig eftersom de ansåg skriftlig feedback ge mindre möjlighet till kommunikation med eleverna, något lärarna värderade högt. Lärarna hade olika tankar kring hur grammatik i elevtexterna skulle kommenteras i den feedback de gav, och studien visar hur det inte finns ett självklart svar för hur grammatiska fel skall behandlas. Uppgiftsrelaterad feedback lämnades i högst grad av lärarna, men vi fann även flera exempel på personlighetsrelaterad feedback.

    Bakgrund: Det finns ett stort samhällsintresse i att utbilda naturvetare, men intresset för att utbilda sig inom de naturvetenskapliga ämnena är bland ungdomar lågt. Forskning visar att motivationen bland elever att lära sig NO-ämnen är låg, och den tenderar att sjunka ju högre upp i ålder de kommer. Enligt elevernas egen utsago motiveras de av att få experimentera och laborera, medan teoretisk undervisning i form av lärarföreläsningar inte är lika motiverande. Eleverna som intervjuats i tidigare forskning nämner flera aspekter som de anser vara viktiga för motivationen att lära naturvetenskap, men då motivationen i ämnet ändå är låg finns anledning att ifrågasätta hur väl undervisningen idag förmår att uppfylla dessa motivationsaspekter.

    Syfte: Syftet med studien har varit att undersöka i vilken utsträckning praktisk gentemot teoretisk undervisning främjar de fem motivationsaspekterna intresse, glädje, förståelse, meningsfullhet och delaktighet, aspekterna är framtagna från tidigare forskning och teorier om motivation.

    Metod: I studien har enkäter och semistrukturerade fokusgruppsintervjuer används. Enkäterna bidrog till att kunna jämföra elevers generella motivation till NO-ämnena med deras motivation i praktisk gentemot teoretisk undervisning, i förhållande till de fem motivationsaspekterna. Intervjuerna har bidragit till att få fram elevers tankar kring de olika aspekterna och att jämföra dem utifrån de olika undervisningsformerna. Det var 20 respektive 21 elever från de två klasserna som besvarade enkäterna och fem elever från varje klass som intervjuades.

    Resultat: De aspekter som främjades mest i den teoretiska undervisningen var förståelse och delaktighet. Dessa aspekter främjades genom diskussion i klassrummet mellan elever och läraren samt elever sinsemellan utifrån frågor som eleverna svarade på. Även meningsfullhet främjades något mer av teoretisk undervisning än av praktisk undervisning. De aspekter som främjades mest av praktisk undervisning var intresse och glädje. Detta eftersom att de själva fick göra experiment som de inte visste utfallet av, vilket enligt eleverna var spännande och roligt, men även för att de uppskattade att få utföra experiment snarare än att lyssna eller läsa om dem.

    Background: Diabetes type II is a chronic disease and the most common form of diabetes. It is a metabolic disease that involves chronic hyper glycemia. The disease is a global health concern given the risks of developing complications and high mortality. To understandthe disease andknow whatself-caremeans is important to be able to manage the disease in an independent way. To get a good self-care the patient needs to be motivated and have a willingness to take responsibility for their own self-care.

    Aim:

    The purpose of this study was to describe how the district nurses support patients with diabetes type II to get self-care.

    Method: An inductive and qualitative study was set up. Twelve districts nurses were interviewed and a qualitative content analysis was chosen as the method of analysis for this study.

    Results: The results of the study resulted in six main categories; listening to see the person, support for change, conditions for a good self-care, individualizing information and cooperate for good self-care. And one main theme: Self-care- take control over your own life.

    Conclusion: The conclusion of the study's results describe that: to promote a good self-care requires that the district nurses create a good relationship with patients by seeing the patient as a whole with a personal responsibility for their health.

    Background:

    About 300 children are diagnosed with cancer disease in Sweden every year. It's not only the child that suffers from the effects of cancer, it´s the whole family. The parents undergo a crisis process which is very important to know for the nurse to be able to understand the reactions that the parents may have and support the family.

    Aim:

    The aim of this study was to describe parents´ experiences of living with a child with a cancer diagnoses.

    Method:

    In this literature study ten qualitative articles were analyzed.

    Results:

    The results of this study showed four different themes, Losing their foothold, Emotionaly shattered, Parents' needs from the surroundings, New life-world.

    Conclusion:

    Parents described that it was an emotional roller coaster that they had to go through when their child was diagnosed with a cancer disease. This study can give a deeper understanding of parents' feelings and how the nurse can provide support, guidance and give a good quality nursing to parents and relatives.

    Bakgrund: I samhället finns normer som styr hur vi ska vara för att falla inom ramen för vad som anses vara rätt. Skolan ska motverka de traditionella idealen för vad som betraktas vara manligt och kvinnligt. Som lärare finns behovet av ett granskande perspektiv på vad eleverna möter i litteraturens domän.

    Syftet med vår studie är att åskådliggöra könsmönster i bokserien PAX (Larsson & Korsell, 2014–2017), en nutida populär bokserie. Vi har granskat karaktärers tillskrivna egenskaper utifrån ett genusperspektiv för att synliggöra normer som finns i böckerna. Normbrytande egenskaperna som karaktärerna har uppvisat har analyserats över tid, hur de karaktärerna har bemötts, genom hela bokserien.

    Metod: Utifrån syftet med vår studie valdes en kvalitativ text- och diskursanalys som metod. Till hjälp har vi utgått från Maria Nikolajevas motsatsschema, om manliga och kvinnliga egenskaper och hennes diskussioner kring genus och könsdikotomier för att uppnå syftet och svara på studiens frågeställningar.

    Resultat: Utifrån vad vi fått fram i vår analys kan vi se att vissa karaktärer bryter mot de traditionella könsmönstren, två män och två kvinnor. Men under seriens gång går de kvinnliga karaktärerna tillbaka till det stereotypiskt kvinnliga egenskaperna. Resultatet visade också att det var dessa två kvinnor som förändrades över seriens gång. Utifrån vår analys fick vi också fram att kvinnliga egenskaper ses som något positivt, medan manliga ses som något negativt.

    Background: Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer among women in Sweden. The cancer diagnosis has under the past few years increased and are expected to increase even more in the future. As cancer diagnosis increases, the ability to survive a cancer disease becomes more apparent with the help of advanced treatments. Aim: The aim of this study was to describe women´s emotional reactions when receiving a breast cancer diagnosis. Metod: A literature-based study was performed in order to describe women´s experience about their emotional reactions towards a breast cancer diagnosis. To analyse the result of the 11 included articles, a five step qualitative analytical method was used. The analysis resulted in one major theme and five subthemes. Results: To receive a breast cancer diagnosis was a huge change in life that affected women´s emotional reactions in many different ways. The result showed that women was chocked, they denied the breast cancer diagnosis, felt anger and grief. The women also felt hopefulness to fight and conquer the breast cancer disease. Conclusion: According to the result this study showed that a breast cancer diagnosis transforms a women´s life, from a healthy life to a life in illness. A breast cancer diagnosis did not only bring out negative feelings like frustration and hopelessness. It´s also bring out positive feelings like relief and fighting spirit.

    The purpose of the study was to examine how professional caretakers perceive the effects on children with parents who suffers from substance- or alcohol abuse. The results of the study was based on eight semi-casual interviews that were conducted with professional caretakers who had relevant experience within childcare. The data that was gathered through the study was analyzed through the qualitative method of thematic analysis. The study was presented with six constructed themes which were recurring throughout the interviews. The themes could indicatehow a child could get affected by an addiction-induced environment. The themes were: ''child confidentiality'', ''early responsibility'', ''lack of trust and security'', ''stress and anxiety'', ''low self-esteem'' and ''apathy''. The results illuminate that the caretakers addiction has a negative effect on the child's development. The child tends to not develop an ability to cope with their feelings and suffer from a general lack of trust. The children of caretakers who suffers from addiction tendto result in a childhood were the child has to take a large amount of responsibility whilst they at the same time tend to get a low amount of appreciation for their efforts which tends to lead to low self-esteem

    Ett av skolans uppdrag är fostra elever till demokratiska medborgare. Det finns ingen enig definition av hur en ideal medborgare framställs. De medel som används för att forma demokratiska medborgare i skolan är bland annat läroböcker där texterna har bakomliggande värderingar som elever kan påverkas av.

    Syfte

    Syftet med studien är att undersöka vilken typ av medborgarfostran läroböcker i SO praktiserar. Syftet bryts ner i två forskningsfrågor som berör hur den ideala eleven skrivs fram i läroböcker och på vilket sätt den mottagande eleven tilltalas.

    Teori och metod

    Metoden och teorin som används i studien är diskursanalys med en inriktning på identitetskonstruktion. Teorin utgår från att det alltid finns bakomliggande tankar och värderingar i texter. Metoden går ut på att hitta mönster i de två valda läroböckerna genom ekvivalenskedjor och begreppen medborgarskap, makt och perspektiv. De två läroböckerna som analyseras är de två mest använda läroböckerna i SO i en medelstor kommun i Västra Götaland. De signifikanter som hittads i läroböckerna och bildade ekvivalenskedjor bevisas och förklaras med hjälp av citat i uppsatsens resultatdel. Studien redovisar inte sanningar, utan det är tolkningar av forskningsfrågorna i ett specifikt sammanhang som undersöks.

    Resultat

    Studiens resultat visar att det tydligt skrivs fram en ideal elev i båda böckerna. Den ideala eleven skiljer sig något böckerna mellan. De signifikanter som bygger upp den ideala eleven är exempelvis att följa lagar och regler, reflektera och att ha ett moraliskt rätt bemötande. Det framkom också i diskursanalysen att elever inte alltid tilltalas som reflekterande elever, utan mer som tomma kärl redo att fyllas med kunskap som inte alltid motiveras.

    Den snabbt ökande digitaliseringen som sker i dagens samhälle påverkar såväl människor som teknik. Utvecklingen av digitala kanaler låter oss idag kommunicera och handla på helt nya sätt samtidigt som robotar är på väg att bli en del i vardagen. Inom e-handel har utveckling av automatiserade system och robotliknande teknik kommit långt och kan bidra till effektivare processer i företag. Lindex AB är ett av Sveriges största modeföretag och konkurrera ständigt med andra företag på marknaden för att uppfylla kunders behov och krav på service. Något som blivit allt viktigare på detaljhandelsmarknaden är försäljning genom digitala kanaler och e-handel där ordrarna ökar samtidigt som det ställs högre krav på kortare ledtider.

    Lindex har i denna studie en central del där syftet är att undersöka möjligheter och hinder för automatiserade lösningar i lager genom att studera orderhanteringen i Lindex e-handelsmiljö. Studien innefattar en teoridel som introducerar läsaren till automatisering av lagerprocesser där flera exempel på robotlösningar och avancerade lagersystem presenteras. Att ha robotar som transporterar varor till personalen istället för den traditionella versionen där personalen plockar varor från stationära plockplatser är idag en möjlighet. Detta kan innebära effektivare processer och slutligen kortare ledtider till kund.

    Intervjuer och observationer ligger till grund för studiens kvalitativa undersökningsansats som ger följd till ett resultat med mycket bilder. Totalt har sex observationer och tre intervjuer genomförts för att noggrant studera företagets processer. Deltagande observationerna har genomförts där författaren fått möjligheten att följa och studera nyckelprocesserna i Lindex varuflöde på en lagernivå.

    Slutsatsen visar på att det skulle vara svårt att automatisera processer på grund av flera hinder men tyder på att en av processerna som observerats har god möjlighet till automatisering på grund av dess starka koppling till lagersystem.

    Background: Diabetes type 2 is a global, growing chronic illness. The treatment primary involves lifestyle changes and self-care concerning food intake and exercise and requires compliance of the self-care treatment from the patient. Previous studies show that there is a lack of compliance from people in the self-care treatment of diabetes type 2.

    Aim: This study aims to explore people with diabetes type 2's perceived factors influencing the compliance of the self-care treatment of diabetes type 2.

    Method: A literature based study with a qualitative approach based on 11 science articles.

    Results: Two themes and four subthemes emerged from the study. The themes Lonely is not always strong and ability to new orientation was found and contained both possibilities and barriers of the compliance in the self-care treatment of diabetes type 2.

    Conclusion: This study shows that social factors and lack of knowledge is barriers of the compliance in the self-care treatment. Support from relatives, friends and nurses, and a feeling of belonging in a social context is important for compliance.

    Background: Relatives of a person suffering from cancer risk being affected both physically and psychologically. Blogging has become increasingly popular as a forum for communicating experiences, but few studies have focused on what blogging about a relative's cancer journey means to the author. Aim: To illuminate relatives' experiences of blogging when a family member is in the end-of-life phase of cancer. Method: Telephone interviews were conducted with 12 people about their experiences of blogging during and after their family member's illness. The data was analysed using qualitative content analysis. Findings: Blogging facilitated everyday life, introduced the relatives to new friends with similar experiences, helped them in their grief process, and helped them to preserve memories. The negative aspects were being misunderstood and publicly criticised as well as the feeling of providing readers with 'reality show' entertainment. Conclusion: Blogging was seen as a complement to professional care that contributed to the prevention of ill health.

    Background:

    Health promotion is part of the district nurse's duties and shall be based on an ethical and holistic approach. According to the WHO the focus of care is in favor of a more health-promoting direction and according to Swedish law, health care is based on respect for patient autonomy and strive for the patients to become involved in their care. Still, there is a paternalistic approach in health promotion, although social Board emphasizes that healthcare should be person-centered in order to make the patient more involved.

    Aim:

    To describe the district nurse experience of work in health promotion from the person seeking care in primary care.

    Method:

    The study is a qualitative study. Seven district nurses who worked in primary care for at least one year were interviewed, and the interview text was analyzed with focus on the texts manifest content.

    Results:

    The analysis resulted in an overall theme, To control with a gentle hand, and five main categories, Ensuring the individual, To motivate and reinforce, To work with the person, To know what is best, To feel conflicting emotions, and nine subcategories

    Conclusion:

    Health promotion having a person centered approach differed between the interviewed nurses. Everyone had a keen interest in health promotion but they focused on different aspects. Some nurses focused on their messages to the patients while the interest of the patient's personal wishes not got much room. Paternalist elements were seen in all the interviews. Studies are sought which explore how management in primary care are working to improve the participation of the person seeking care.

    In a recruitment process, recruiters make daily decision on which candidates are best suited for specific position. Research shows that standardized recruitment methods have a high predictive value that can explain individuals' future performance. Nevertheless, many professionals prefer intuition-based working methods. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the connection between personality, emotional intelligence and the attitude of using intuition in recruitment decisions. When collecting empirical data, a web-survey was constructed consisting of three tests that measured personality (Big-Six), Emotional Intelligence (TEIque-SF) and intuition methods when hiring. The sample consisted of 100 recruitment professionals within Human Resource. The results of the study indicate that people who are positively committed to the use of intuition in recruitment decisions are more extroverted. The result also indicates that people who are negative to the use of intuition in recruitment decisions are more emotional stable and honest-humility.

    The purpose of the study is to gain an understanding of how managers within two SiS institutions feel that they are working with competence development initiatives regarding MI.

    The result shows that the competence development initiative becomes part of the implementation and the mainteanace of the method, since employees through training in MI receive a common approach with a common language.

    The study is a qualitative study that is based on interviews with managers at two institutions within the State Department Board. The results are reported on the basis of interviews with eight unit managers. The interviews were conducted with the help of semi-structured interview questions that opened up the informants' own stories and gave the researchers the opportunity to ask supplementary questions. The informants were interviewed individually and the interviews were recorded to ensure that the researchers got everything that was said.

    The phenomenological approach of the study wanted to reach the core of the phenomenon how managers at two SiS institutions feel that they are working on competence development initiatives concerning MI. Continued learning and development of MI takes place in everyday life at the workplace where learning in the method needs to be structured so as not to be forgotten. The structure of MI increases the quality of the organization for both young people and staff, as the common approach gives a security. The implementation of MI is a shared responsibility where the managers structure for a good and developing learning environment and employees are responsible for using MI in everyday life through reflection and feedback.

    Syfte: Studien syftar till att få kunskap om hur centrala begrepp inom Reggio Emilias filosofi omsätts i tanke och handling i tre svenska Reggio Emilia förskolor. Med hjälp av ett fenomenografiskt perspektiv vill vi få kunskap om pedagogers uppfattningar kring begreppens innebörd och hur de i så fall menar att det inverkar på barn i praktiken. Det gör vi genom att undersöka hur begreppen "det rika barnet" och "miljön som den tredje pedagogen" uttrycks i tanke och handling. Metod:Intervjuer, observationer av miljöer, fotografier av miljöer, visuell metod, fenomenografisk analysmetod. Resultat: Det framgår av resultatet att innebörden av begreppet ”det rika barnet” inte diskuterats på de förskolor som ingår i studien. Istället har ”det kompetenta barnet” blivit synonymt med begreppet och med deras barnsyn. Pedagogens roll handlar till stor del om att erbjuda material och miljöer som möter barns behov och intressen. Att barns olikheter ses som en tillgång kopplas till de möjligheter miljön erbjuder att utforska. Det är också viktigt att barn tillåts vara olika i miljön. Det finns en tro på det självgående barnet som resulterar i att barn visar vägen i projekt. Miljön stöttar när barn kan fungera självgående, utan att vara beroende av en vuxen. Barns intressen ska återspeglas i miljön, som ändras utifrån deras processer. En tillgänglig och tillåtande miljö möjliggör att barn kan agera självständigt och miljön stöttar på så vis pedagogerna. En väl förberedd miljö kompenserar närvaron av en pedagog och lockar barn genom att vara inspirerande och tilltalande. Att barn ska lära sig något och utvecklas i miljöerna har en framåtsyftande funktion. Det anses också att miljön kan bidra till barns möjligheter att verka i ett demokratiskt sammanhang.

    The aim of this study is to describe and seek understanding of how relatives to children with neuropsychiatric disabilities experience the treatment from professionals in social services. The focus is on the knowledge and relational aspects that can be said to form the basis of professionals' treatment expertise. To illustrate these questions about treatment can inspire discussions that there should be a deeper ethical awareness among the professionals. That awareness provides a richer understanding of the relatives’ situation and an insight into what good treatment is all about, which also seeks more and more in today's welfare society. The issues which the study is based on are: How do the relatives describe the concept of treatment? How important are the professionals knowledge in the field neuropsychiatric disorders, for the relatives experience of treatment? How important are the professionals ability to create a relationship, for the relatives experience of treatment? The method used in the study has a qualitative approach and is based on focus group interviews. The selected theoretical key concept was symbolic interactionism, which together with the concept of treatment and explains and analyzes the treatments significance of the interaction between the individual and professional. The result is presented, analyzed and reflected upon using the study's theoretical key concepts and previous research. The result of the study demonstrates that the informants experience the treatment from the professional as inadequate, as it does not match the informants’ descriptions of the concept of treatment. The result also shows that the informants experience that the professionals do not have direct knowledge of neuropsychiatric disorders. The result illustrates that all informants experience that they are not being listened to and that the informants feel powerless. The result shows that the informants experience that the premise of being able to create a relationship with the professional has not been shown, that is because as the informants denounce that they had to change social workers on several occasions. The conclusion is that professionals’ knowledge in the field of neuropsychiatric disabilities and professionals ability to create a relationship is very important for the relatives’ experience of treatment

    Abstract [en]

    The purpose of this thesis was to investigate how school personnel experience available student support. The study was conducted at a school in western Sweden, using interviews with six participants from the school personnel. Participants in the study were six people with different professions at the school where the professions: school nurse, school curator and teachers were included. The method used was a qualitative method. There are very few research reports that highlight issues of availability of student health, from a personnel-related perspective with the qualitative research method. With quantitative research method, there are more available research reports but they are still relatively few. This study resulted in six different themes that describe how and to what extent school personnel feel that they are available to students. This essay for the most part used the term student health, which includes the work of school personnel involved for the students’ well-being, both physically and mentally, following existing laws and regulations. The essay concludes with a discussion on essential elements and ideas about future work with these issues.
