    Abstract [en]

    Electron beam welding of forged Allvac 718Plus superalloy has been carried out without any visible cracks in weld cross-sections. Healed cracks in the heat affected zone were, however, seen in most cross-sections with the healing as well as the cracking believed to be due to the constitutional liquation of the δ-phase. The δ-phase undergoes constitutional liquation in the Heat Affected Zone (HAZ) and consequently decreases the ductility of the material and renders cracks in the HAZ but due to the large amount of eutectic liquid produced at the same time the healing of the opened cracks takes place.

    Abstract [en]

    Varestraint testing together with DSC and SEM-EDX analyses have been performed as means of investigating the hot cracking susceptibility of Allvac 718Plus, alloy 718 and Waspaloy. The solidification sequences in Allvac 718Plus and alloy 718 were very similar to each other starting by an initial solidification of the gamma phase, gamma/MC reaction at around 1260°C and then finally ending the sequence by gamma/Laves eutectic reaction at around 1150°C. Waspaloy had the same solidification sequence, except no Laves phase formation takes place, and solidification started at a somewhat higher temperature as compared to alloy 718 and the solidification sequence ends by a gamma/MC reaction at around 1245°C. The total amount of hot cracking in Waspaloy was shown to be much less than that in alloy 718 and in Allvac 718Plus which is believed to be related to the presence of the Laves eutectic in the latter two alloys with corresponding larger solidification ranges. Hot cracking of 718Plus is slightly less than in 718.

    Abstract [en]

    The susceptibility to heat affected zone cracking of Waspaloy has been investigated in terms of its hot ductility, measured as the reduction of area (RA). Gleeble testing with on-heating as well as on-cooling test cycles was carried out to illuminate the influence of different 4 h solution heat treatments between 996 and 1080°C. A ductility maximum of between 80 and 90%RA was found at 1050–1100°C for all conditions in the on-heating tests. Although the different heat treatment conditions showed similar macrohardness, the particle size and distribution of the γ′ and M23C6 phases differed, which significantly affected the on-heating ductility in the lower temperature test region. The ductile to brittle transition was initiated at 1100°C in the on-heating testing with indications of grain boundary liquation at the higher test temperatures. Ductility recovery, as measured in the on-cooling tests from 1240°C, was very limited with <30%RA for all conditions and test temperatures except for the 1080°C/4 h treatment, which exhibited 60%RA at 980°C.

    Abstract [en]

    The hot ductility of Allvac 718Plus for different solution heat treatments (954°C–15 h, 954°C–1 h, 982°C–1 h and 1050°C–3 h+954°C–1 h) has been investigated using Gleeble testing. Substantial variations in the microstructure among the heat treatments affected the Gleeble test hot ductility only to a very limited extent. Constitutional liquation of the NbC phase was found to be the main cause for the poor ductility at high testing temperatures in the on-heating cycle as well as at the lower temperatures on-cooling. Grain boundary δ phase was seen to assist the constitutional liquation of the NbC phase. Based on established evaluation criteria for Gleeble ductility testing, a ranked indicator for weldability is suggested.

    Abstract [en]

    The hot ductility as measured by Gleeble testing of Alloy 718 at four different solution heat treatments (954°C/15 h, 954°C/1 h, 982°C/1 h and 1050°C/3 h+954°C/1 h) has been investigated. It is concluded that constitutional liquation of NbC assisted by δ phase takes place and deteriorates the ductility. Parameters established by analysing the ductility dependence on temperature indicate a reduced weldability of the material in the coarse grain size state (ASTM 3) while indicating an increased weldability when containing a large amount of δ phase due to a grain boundary pinning effect. The accumulation of trace elements during grain growth at the highest temperature is believed to be the cause for the observed reduced on-cooling ductility.

    Abstract [en]

    Modern centrifugal compressor impeller geometry often consist of curves and surfaces with a high degree of three dimensionality. This makes the geometry of the impeller difficult to model with commercial CAD-tools. Additionally, in modern optimization processes of impellers the geometry is commonly altered, this puts high demands on the method that is used for generating the geometry. In this work a new computational geometry method for centrifugal compressor impellers is compiled. The new method is designed to be flexible and to support present day optimization processes.The new method is a compilation based upon publications regarding impeller geometry and impeller optimization. It utilizes Bezier curves and B-splines to generate geometry and supports optimization by allowing control points of the constructing curves to be relocated to change the shape of the geometry. To test the new method, a standalone application was successfully developed with the aid of the SCRUM development process. With an easy to use graphical user interface the application generates and displays a 3D model of the geometry generated with the new method.

    För att undersöka på vilket sätt lärare kan stimulera elevers läsintresse valde jag att undersöka hur läsintresset ser ut i ett urval av klasser i grundskolans årkurser 4-6, och därtill försöka koppla detta intresse till lärares arbetssätt. En enkätundersökning genomfördes i fem olika klasser från årskurserna 4-6 och därtill genomfördes intervjuer med verksamma lärare i de klasser där enkätundersökningarna ägt rum. Undersökningen visar på att det finns en positiv inställning till läsning bland de elever som deltagit. Därtill framkommer att flickors upplevelse av läsintresse kan tänkas vara mindre styrt av arbetssätt då de oberoende av arbetssätt, uppvisar en jämt fördelad inställning till läsning.

    Volvo Aero develops, designs, manufactures and performs maintenance of engine and related components for civil and military aircrafts. The vision is to deliver world-leading transport solutions through continuous improvement and long term business deployment, which for the daily work means systematic problem solving through the methodology practical problem solving, whose origin is Toyota.

    The purpose of this thesis was to examine whether Volvo Aero’s approach of practical problem solving was simple, systematic and guided, which from Toyota’s point of view creates sound conditions for effective problem solving.

    Initially, Toyota’s attitude and behaviour towards problem solving was described from the point of view of The Toyota Way. Thereafter, a literature study on practical problem solving was completed. Furthermore, a pilot study was carried out where Volvo Aero’s approach to practical problem solving was applied to an organisational problem. The pilot study was evaluated and areas for improvements were identified where the methodology was difficult, indistinct and inadequate guided. Finally, improvements were proposed regarding Volvo Aero’s approach to practical problem solving, which was scientifically anchored to Toyota.

    • Appears the root cause to be clear is probably the countermeasure obvious

    The improvements were proposed with purpose to simplify Volvo Aero’s methodology and to support and guide the user, which creates sound conditions for effective problem solving and provides opportunities for daily use that foster continuous improvement.

    Bakgrund: I läroplanen Lgr 11 framkommer det att elever i grundskolan ska agera kamratbedömare genom att ge och ta emot respons. I fråga om vem denna aktivitet gynnar, och på vilket sätt den för-väntas vara en del av undervisningen i svensk skola, är detta inte helt klart. En anledning att låta eleverna ägna sig åt kamratbedömning kan dock ses inom arbetet med formativ bedömning, där eleverna kan utgöra läranderesurser för varandra, då det kommer till bedömning för lärande.

    Syfte: Vår studie har syftat till att undersöka hur lärare beskriver sitt arbete med kamratbedömning i årskurserna 4–6. Anledningen till detta var att vi ville se hur lärare talar om sin syn på kamrat-bedömning och därigenom se till hur de beskriver olika arbetssätt, vilka förutsättningar de anser ligger till grund och vem det är som gynnas av kamratbedömning.

    Metod: Studien har varit av kvalitativ art och vi har i vårt framtagande av empiri använt oss av halv-strukturerade intervjuer, som vi genomförde med sex informanter som är verksamma lärare inom den åldersgrupp som vi har haft för avsikt att undersöka. I analysförfarandet har vi använt oss av diskursanalys för att belysa de diskurser som brukas av studiens informanter.

    Resultat: I vårt resultat fann vi att i samband med kamratbedömning fanns det olika sätt att tala om elever, arbetssätt och förutsättningar. Dessa sätt att tala presenterar vi som diskurserna: eleven som högpresterande, eleven som lågpresterande, det positiva arbetssättet, det granskande arbetssät-tet, stöd som förutsättning och klassrumsklimatet som förutsättning.

    This bachelor thesis has been executed at GKN Aerospace at the manufacturing department Low Pressure Turbine (LPT), also known as LPT. The thesis presents the creation of standardized working methods for the assembly of the LPTs, that are manufactured for the aircraft engines Leap 1B and Leap A/C. The standardized work has been compiled in Job Training Documents, also known as JTD. A kit box for the material that will be assembled has been designed for each model. Due to a nonexistent standard it has led to assembly failures and quality defects in the production. The existing assembly box has been inadequate for the operators and the controllers that pack the boxes which has led to longer assembly time. The purpose of this project has been to assure the quality of the work through creating standardized work instructions. The design of the kit box has been executed in order to organize the details of the assembly in a certain structure to facilitate for the operators and controllers. An operation description with course of action was provided and used as a basis for the design of the JTDs in order not to risk deviating from the existing method. Interviews and observations of operators and controllers have also been used for the JTDs and the design of the kit boxes. Kit boxes was reused from another department and assortment boxes was sorted and structured inside in two different sizes. These were coded with different colors, marked and fitted to the size and quantity of the material so that every piece that is being assembled has its own place. The JTDs and the kit boxes was made in two versions to adapt to the assembly of both Leap 1B and Leap A/C. The boxes were tested in the production and the JTDs was reviewed of the operators before signature was made. All of the operators were not interviewed and observed as planned because of the unplanned stops in the production. The shape of the kit box was limited because the existing boxes were reused. From the results that has been developed the goals for this thesis including creating standardized work instructions and design of a kit box to organize all the pieces has been achieved.

    BACKGROUND: This article reports on patient-reported sexual dysfunction and micturition symptoms following a randomized trial of laparoscopic and open surgery for rectal cancer.

    METHODS: Patients in the COLOR II randomized trial, comparing laparoscopic and open surgery for rectal cancer, completed the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) QLQ-CR38 questionnaire before surgery, and after 4 weeks, 6, 12 and 24 months. Adjusted mean differences on a 100-point scale were calculated using changes from baseline value at the various time points in the domains of sexual functioning, sexual enjoyment, male and female sexual problems, and micturition symptoms.

    RESULTS: Of 617 randomized patients, 385 completed this phase of the trial. Their mean age was 67·1 years. Surgery caused an anticipated reduction in genitourinary function after 4 weeks, with no significant differences between laparoscopic and open approaches. An improvement in sexual dysfunction was seen in the first year, but some male sexual problems persisted. Before operation 64·5 per cent of men in the laparoscopic group and 55·6 per cent in the open group reported some degree of erectile dysfunction. This increased to 81·1 and 80·5 per cent respectively 4 weeks after surgery, and 76·3 versus 75·5 per cent at 12 months, with no significant differences between groups. Micturition symptoms were less affected than sexual function and gradually improved to preoperative levels by 6 months. Adjusting for confounders, including radiotherapy, did not change these results.

    CONCLUSION: Sexual dysfunction is common in patients with rectal cancer, and treatment (including surgery) increases the proportion of patients affected. A laparoscopic approach does not change this.

    Abstract [sv]

    Detta examensarbete har utförts på ÅF Industry i Trollhättan. Syftet med examensarbetet är att arbeta fram rutiner och ett standardiserat arbetssätt i Febdok. Detta för att underlätta och spara tid vid användning av Febdok. Inledningsvis påbörjades framtagning av relevant teori kring den definierade problembeskrivningen tillsammans med handläggaren på ÅF. Parallellt genomfördes övningsexempel i Febdok för att gruppen skulle få en insyn i hur funktionerna fungerar. Rapportens teoridel behandlar de mest problematiska- och tidskrävande funktionerna i Febdok så som UPS:er, kortslutningsströmmar och selektivitet. Det för att ge en förståelse om bakgrunden till funktionerna. Ett beräkningsexempel på ett fiktivt nät gjordes för att kunna verifiera en överslagsräkning som används på ÅF för att beräkna ett ungefärligt värde på minsta felström. Denna minsta felström erhålls vid enfasig jordslutning och definierar utlösningsvilkoret. Maximal felström delat på tre har ansetts ge ett någorlunda korrekt värde på minsta felström. Beräkningar på maximal- och minimal felström vid olika kablage jämfördes och visade att överslagsräkningen inte är att rekommendera på grund av att minsta felström ibland bli lägre. Istället bör en faktor av minst fyra användas vid överslagsräkningen för minsta felström. I avsnitt 3 i rapporten beskrivs initiala inställningar och funktioner i Febdok med föregående teori som bakgrund. Implementering av UPS:er i Febdok visade sig kräva mer datainmatning än vad som normalt går att få tag på från tillverkare. Genomsläppt energi är data som visade sig svår att få tag ifrån olika tillverkare. Vid närmare tester av programmet och dess funktioner visade det sig att genomsläppt energi inte behövs definieras i UPS-funktionen för att arbeta med selektivitet och kortslutningsströmmar längre ut i anläggningen.

    Resultatet av observationerna i Febdok och teorin visade att tumregeln som används på ÅF inte är att föredra och säkringar i en anläggning försedd med UPS bör dimensioneras efter batteridrift. Informationen och kunskaperna som samlades under arbetets gång samanställdes i en uppstartsguide för Febdok.

    Arbetsmiljöverkets AFS 2015:4 is focused on the problems that can occur when employees experience that their work-life has a negative impact on their familylife. In the world of psychology this experience is called "work-family conflict", and the conflict consists of two dimensions; work interference with family, and family interference with work. This study had two major study subjects; possible antecedents and their correlation with work-family conflict, and if the experience of work-family conflict has an association with how persons experience their own health. The respondents consisted of 302 Swedish white-collar workers (53% women) who worked for a logistics business. The study had a quantitative method where the respondents answered a survey, which was made from several well used instruments; Copenhagen psychosocial questionnaire version II (COPSOQ II), a modernized and translated version of Netemayer et al.'s (1996) survey, and Quality marriage index (QMI). A multiple linear regressions analyzer showed that the six antecedents explained 20% of the variance in the dimension Privatliv-Arbetsliv (family interference with work), and 21% of the variance in the dimension Arbetsliv-Privatliv (work interference with family). The study found a strong correlation between the variable Allmän hälsa (eng: General health) and Arbetsliv-Privatliv (r = -.62). This indicates that there is a negative association between Swedish white collar workers self experienced general health and the grade of Arbetsliv-Privatliv conflict they experience.

    Abstract [en]

    In community planning, there are many regulations that can be made to control land use and a detail development plan is an instrument that Sweden's municipalities have access to in order to do so. In a detail development plan, the municipality may specify properties that will apply in an area, such as the protection of trees, whish this study is about. To protect trees a plan regulation is required in the plan indicating what is applicable. In the Planning and Building Act 9 chap. 12 § it is stated that the municipality in a detail development plan may decide that a land permit is required for felling trees and for afforestation. An application for a permit to felling trees and / or afforestation shall be sent to the municipality, which will examine whether the application is to be granted or refused. Entering a land permit for felling trees in the detail development plan protects trees that may otherwise be cut down without the municipality's knowledge.

    The survey aims at examining the extent to which the municipalities of Sweden use the opportunity to decide on land permits in a detail development plan. Furthermore, the municipality's motive for the protection of trees is investigated and if it is done otherwise than with the plan regulation, and whether there has been any change in how the municipalities regulate trees in 2017 compared to 1990, when the detail development plan had recently been introduced. This has been done with both qualitative and quantitative methods to get a versatile and complete study.

    The results show that the municipalities used the plan regulation for land permit for felling trees in 60 of the detail development plans in 2017. To ensure protection of trees municipalities use other methods than land permit, for example a Plan regulation to protect trees. The motives given by the municipalities to protect trees vary widely and there are ecological, social and aesthetic reasons. In the comparison of detail development plans from 2017 and 1990, differences have been observed. More plans in 2017 with land permit for felling trees have been observed as well as more and more varied motivations. Plan regulation about afforestation has been found only once in a total of 1 353 detail development plans.

    Since Twitch started its livestreaming site in 2011 live streaming have grown incredibly fast. In 2014 Twitch had 100 million unique viewers monthly. The streams on Twitch range from esports players to people streaming for fun. Today there are streamers that are not working but instead create a living based on streaming and micro donations from its viewers. We are curious and want to explore how a streamer can live just by playing computer games. They accumulate an audience who will return as soon streamer begins streaming. In addition to advertising on their page to get streamers into micro donations through their viewers. These micro donations account for a large portion of their income.

    We focus on those watching rather than those who stream. How is it that someone would be willing to donate money to a streamer? We then decided to do a survey on motivation and microdonations Twitch viewers will answer. The questions is focused on what kind of genre, user prefer to watch and and what motivates them to donate.

    In our study, it was only 36.5% who spent less than 4 hours per week on Twitch, the rest of the responses were from people who spent over 4 hours. According to the responses of our survey people were not affected by others when it came to the choice of stream to watch. Many people choose the stream due to the streamer being entertaining or playing the same game as the streamer. Even if the people who answered our survey spent alot of time on Twitch only a part of them choose to donate 43% of them have neither donated or subscribed to a stream before. Only 5.5% donates much (over $ 10) and often. According to the answers only 56.1% have donated or subscribed to a stream before. We must take into account that 75.6% are young people under 24 years old and may not have an income, hence it is difficult to donate despite the fact that they want. Although many are donating very small sums, there are people who donate incredibly large sums which a streamer can almost fall into a state of shock.

    There was a number of different factors that motivated people to donate their money to streamers. The three most prominent factors were “Entertaining streamer” a streamer who engages the audience and makes them laugh, “I play the same game” the viewers recognize the game and play it during their own time and “I want to learn something” the viewers want to improve their own skills and learn something new. More than half the people who responded would be willing to spend atleast 10$ a month on Twitch related material. Most of the people who answered were men and around 1525 years. Benefits i.e getting something in return for a donation had a much lower impact towards motivating people than expected.

    Studiens övergripande syfte var att undersöka hur undervisning i friluftsliv utövas i ämnet idrott och hälsa och inom fritidshem samt vilka skillnader och likheter som finns. Syftet var även att se om ett kollegialt samarbete mellan idrottslärare och fritidslärare finns idag och vad som påverkar lärarnas sätt att bedriva friluftsliv i undervisningen. Frågeställningarna vi utgick ifrån vid undersökningen av vårt syfte var: Hur definierar fritidslärarna och fritidslärarna delen friluftsliv? Finns det något kollegialt samarbete mellan fritislärarna och idrottslärarna kring undervisningen i friluftsliv? Vad påverkar lärarnas sätt att bedriva undervisningen i friluftsliv?   Den metod som användes för att besvara studiens frågeställningar var en kvalitativ intervjustudie och vårt empiriska material bestod av individuella intervjuer i två olika kommuner. Vi genomförde sammanlagt sex semistrukturerade intervjuer med tre utbildade idrottslärare och tre utbildade fritidslärare.  Studiens samanställda resultat visar att synen på undervisningen i friluftsliv samt sättet att bedriva det i praktiken skiljer sig mellan de båda yrkeskategorierna och genom resultatet kunde vi även finna påverkansfaktorerna för det. Utifrån resultatet framgick att det inte pågår ett kollegialt samarbete mellan fritidslärare och idrottslärare i dag, men att det är önskvärt. Resultatet visade även att läroplanen är en grundläggande orsak till att det skapas begränsningar kring undervisningen i friluftsliv.

    Background:

    More people die from overweight or obesity today than people who die from underweight. It is one of the largest risks for the human health today. Overweight and obesity may lead to diseases such as depression, diabetes type 2, cancer, isolation and cardiovascular diseases. Overweight and obesity among children have increased over the past three decades, and follows often the child from childhood to adulthood. Aim: The aim of this study was to discover the limitations and possibilities to experience health among children with overweight or obesity. Method: A literature review based on ten articles was chosen as method for this study. Through the analysis of the authors, five themes were discovered and created. They included information about the well-being of children, age 4 to 17 years, with overweight or obesity. Results: The themes were; Being teased and exposed to bullying, Expression of thoughts and feelings, Importance of community, Children's views of themselves and The belief in and the ability to live a healthy life. Conclusion: Children with overweight or obesity, had difficulties to experience health. Higher rates of bullying, alienation, anxiety, poor self-image and fear of consequences were found in children with overweight or obesity.

    Bakgrund

    Den dagliga utomhusvistelsen på gården är en stor del av barns vardag på förskolan. En rådande uppfattning inom förskolans verksamhet är att "det finns inget dåligt väder, bara dåliga kläder" och

    alla barn ska vistas utomhus minst en gång om dagen, varje dag. En stor del av den forskning som finns tillgänglig inom området för utomhusvistelse fokuserar på det som kallas "utomhuspedagogik" och behandlar inte den vardagliga utomhusvistelsen i samma utsträckning.

    Syfte

    Syftet är att undersöka hur pedagoger i förskolan resonerar kring den vardagliga utomhusvistelsen på förskolans gård och hur de motiverar denna och dess betydelse samt vilken möjlighet barnen har till delaktighet.

    Metod

    Vi har genomfört tre fokusgruppintervjuer med sex pedagoger, både förskollärare och barnskötare. Intervjuerna har därefter analyserats med inspiration från den fenomenologiska inriktningen hermeneutik. Resultatet presenteras utifrån tre temaområden

    "Det är bra att vara utomhus", "Utomhusvistelse på gården" och "Delaktighet".

    Resultat

    Resultatet visar att utomhusvistelsen är en rutin på förskolan som sällan ifrågasätts. Samtliga pedagoger i våra intervjuer var positiva till utomhusvistelsen och dess möjligheter för barnens välmående och utveckling. Samtidigt som pedagogernas resonemang överlag är snarlika, så visar resultatet att det finns flera olika sätt att förhålla sig till barns vistelse utomhus

    Bakgrund: Matematik diskuteras ofta som ett problematiskt område och internationella undersökningar visar att de svenska matematikkunskaperna sjunker. En studie av Johansson (2011) visar att subtraktion med tiotalsövergång är ett svårt område för många elever. Tidigare forskning belyser vikten av didaktiska överväganden hos lärarna vid introduktion av subtraktionsberäkningar, forskningen beskriver också vilka förkunskaper som är viktiga att elever får för att underlätta området. För att få en bättre insikt i vad det är som gör området svårt ville vi undersöka hur verksamma lärare brukar introducera subtraktion och hur det påverkar eleverna.

    Syfte:

    Vårt syfte är att undersöka hur sambandet mellan elevens val av metod och undervisningen i subtraktion där tiotalsövergångar krävs hänger samman.

    Metod:

    Studiens datainsamling skedde genom kvalitativa intervjuer med både lärare och elever för att få reda på hur de ser på området med tiotalsgångar inom subtraktionsberäkning. Eleverna fick beräkna matematikuppgifter och berätta hur de tänkte för att ge en tydlig bild av vilka strategier de kunde. Alla intervjuerna sammanfattades för att de sedan skulle kunna analyseras utifrån vanligt förekommande lösningsstrategier och variationsteorin.

    Resultat:

    Resultatet visar att den vanligaste förekommande strategin som eleverna använde sig av var den som läraren mest gått igenom. Många elever visade förtrogenhet med fler än en strategi, det visade sig också att de i de allra flesta fall väljer samma metod som läraren föredrar som förstahandsval

    Bakgrund: Grunden för denna studie är att undersöka hur förskollärare använder sig av digitala verktyg och vilka verktyg som är mest förekommande i förskolans verksamhet. Syfte: Syftet med studien är att få fördjupad kunskap om hur arbetet med digitala verktyg ser ut i förskolans verksamhet samt vilka digitala verktyg som är mest förekommande. Frågeställningar: På vilket sätt används digitala verktyg i förskolans verksamhet? och Vilka av dessa verktyg är mest förekommande i arbetet med barn? Metod: En muntlig strukturerad intervjustudie med tolv förskollärare från fem olika förskolor som i sitt genomförande kan beskrivas som muntliga enkäter. Dessa muntliga enkäter/ intervjuer genomfördes på förskolorna. Studien presenterades och de strukturerade intervjuerna spelades in för att vi skulle kunna transkribera svaren. Intervjuerna hade karaktären av en enkät vilket innebär att vi huvudsakligen ställde frågorna utifrån ett bestämt frågeformulär utan uppföljningsfrågor. Förskolorna som deltog i studien valdes med hjälp ett bekvämlighetsurval.

    Resultat: Av studiens resultat framgår det att digitala verktyg används regelbundet i verksamheten och på varierande sätt: till dokumentation, informationssökning, ibland förekommer det att digitala verktyg används som "barnvakt", sagostunder och sångstunder. Surfplattan är verktyget som förekommer oftast i förskolans verksamhet på grund av att det är lätt ta med överallt och för att det är enkelt att skriva dokumentation via surfplattan.

    Abstract [en]

    The purpose of this paper has been to study teachers´ and librarians´ perspectives of the role of the school library in education in secondary schools. The study is based upon interviews with teachers and librarians from two different schools. We are inspired by phenomenography but we use a descriptive method and the following four parts are described in our result: the use of the school library, investigative approaches, the role of the school library and its environment and the role of the librarian. The conclusions which are evident from our research suggest the library has a fundamental role in the heart of the school. The school library is a multi-functional service used to support school studies, independent work and promote and encourage the reading of fiction. Essential to making the school library function well is professional staff, inspiring new literature and sufficient space to allow such functions to operate without disturbing each other. To ensure co-operation functions optimally the two professions must work effectively together as one team, understanding each other’s roles fully.

    Abstract [en]

    With Swedish planning and building act (PBL) of 2011 a new demand was adopted for handling time before permits and advance rule, called PBL 9:27. Following PBL 9:27 an application for permits shall be processed promptly and the applicant shall be informed of the decision within ten weeks from the moment a complete application has been submitted to the local building committee. Previously this demand had not been included into Swedish law. The purpose of this demand was to speed up the handling time and to reduce differences in handling time between municipalities. When this demand was adopted a decision was made not to connect it with any form of sanction, should the demand not be met. The argument being that a more effective handling time would be met even without sanctions. Following several notifications to the legal ombudsman one may conclude that in several cases, municipalities do not meet the demand for a handling time within ten weeks. While there are no sanctions connected to the demand municipalities, may without any risk, take as much time they fell needed for the handling of each case. Thereby one of the key purposes of PBL 9:27, that is, reduced differences in handling time between municipalities is counteracted.

    The purpose of this study is to investigate whether handling time in building permit cases are in compliance with PBL 9:27. In order to answer this question building permit cases were examined thoroughly in seven municipalities in Västra Götaland County. The study has focused cases from 2014 and cases pertaining to construction of buildings. The collected information was compiled in one data matrix for each municipality. Beside of the information compiled in the data matrix each municipality answered a questionnaire focusing workload. The purpose of the questionnaire was to relate the results from the investigation of handling time to a possible explanation, that is, the workload of employees during 2014.

    Out of 436 examined cases 44 did not meet the demand of handling tie within ten weeks, or approximately 10 % of the cases. Of these 44 cases that did not meet PLB 9:27, 32 were real estates that were located within areas regulated by detailed municipal plans and twelve were located outside of planned areas. Out of the 32 real estates located within planned areas 13 accounted for a minor deviance from the detailed municipal plan while 19 were in compliance with the detailed plan and

    regulation areas.

    The results indicate that municipalities need to speed up their handling time for building permit cases regulated by PBL 9:27. An additional result of this study is that several municipalities have flaws in relation to documentation of significant dates. Also, municipalities tend to make different assessments of when an application is considered complete. This study suggests that clearer guidelines are adopted pertaining to documentation of cases and the demands for how to assess if an application is complete.

    Bakgrund

    Intresset av att undersöka hur fritidspedagogen upplever och beskriver värdegrundsarbetet på fritidshemmet växte under vår VFU då vi såg en tendens till att elevers respekt gentemot varandra och vuxna minskar. Eftersom värdegrunden är en stor del av fritidspedagogens uppdrag ansåg vi det relevant att undersöka.

    Syfte Vår studie syftar till att undersöka fritidspedagogens värdegrundsarbete på fritidshemmet. Fokus ska ligga på varje enskild fritidspedagogs upplevelse och beskrivning av värdegrundsarbetet.MetodVi har utfört en kvalitativ studie då det passade vårt syfte bäst. Intervjuerna genomfördes med oss båda närvarande och spelades in på en mobilenhet. Genom att båda var närvarande kunde en av oss leda intervjun medan den andre kunde föra minnesanteckningar på ett smidigt sätt. Det insamlade materialet bearbetades och analyserades utifrån våra frågeställningar.ResultatVi kan se att det råder lika uppfattningar kring hur värdegrundsarbete kan bedrivas i verksamheten. Däremot råder det olika uppfattningar om vad värdegrunden och arbetet med det innebär. Fritidspedagogernas egna intressen för värdegrunden påverkar hur värdegrundsarbetet bedrivs i verksamheten. Arbetslaget har också en stor påverkan när det gäller arbetet med värdegrunden.

    Abstract [en]

    The aim of the presented study was to describe how obese adolescents experience themselves and their bodies and how their views changed as a result of participation in a weight loss program. A total of five adolescents were interviewed in this qualitative study. Data were analyzed by means of content analysis. One main theme emerged, “Growing as a human being”, which comprised four themes based on 13 sub-themes. Being part of a weight loss program was a time of transition that led not only to weight reduction but also to a higher level of well-being and a feeling of dignity.

    The purpose of the study is to examine and analyze how different agencies and organizations are acting to integrate unaccompanied children in Swedish society after they received a residence permit/asylum. The method that were used was a qualitative approach and includes three interviews and two documents. The analysis that were used was thematic analysis and qualitative content analysis. The theoretical framework consisted of the concepts of integration, marginalization and socialization. The results revealed seven themes that were to promote integration, employment, children's own participation, religion and culture, opinions,

    participation and knowledge of obligations. In what came up in the concluded was that good man, feeling a participatory and hold an employment promoted integration were important factors for the unaccompanied children. The religion emerged partly be a limitation and an opportunity for the individual integration. The rights and obligation of the produced included the participation in his asylum case and an opportunity to influence this, organizations and government agencies are obliged to take responsibility for creating a functional integration.

    Abstract [en]

    The purpose of this report is to describe and develop a model used to determine demand permissions regarding power quality on behalf of Vattenfall Distribution. The purpose of the model is to calculate the level of current harmonics allowed for different types of energy subscriptions by studying how harmonics spread in a power grid and how subscribers affect each other. This model needs to be described seeing that the documentation of the original model was lacking. The model also needs to be further developed to increase the flexibility and its ease of use.

    Harmonics are a phenomenon that occurs on the power grid and are generated by non-linear loads like EV-chargers and photovoltaic systems. If the harmonic distortion level is too high, grid connected electronics can experience issues or stop working.

    There are a number of standards, reports and regulations regarding emission rights considering harmonics. This report summarizes three of these as a background to how emissions are regulated today (2018). Two of these papers focus on voltage harmonics levels which is also the case for Vattenfall Distributions governing documents. Vattenfall Distribution needs to develop a new method to determine these current harmonics emission levels, and the model is a part of that process.

    A thorough analysis and mapping of the model were made to produce the documentation for the model. The model was then further developed to allow for more flexibility and could be simplified compared to the original model.

    The original model is considered to fulfil its purpose and therefore no structural changes have been made. The changes that have been made have been implemented to make the model as flexible and user friendly as possible. To help the user to understand the model, a flowchart was made to describe the structure and internal workings of the model.

    The authors believe that a thorough and detailed documentation of the model has been produced and that the model fulfills the purpose of producing representative values to determine demand permissions regarding power quality. The model has been restructured and is now perspicuous and easy to use. However the result from the model is highly dependent of the input data and it's important that it is of good quality.

    Abstract [sv]

    För att förbättra elleveransen till kund genomför Vattenfall Eldistribution AB en successiv kablifiering av mellanspänningsnätet. En effekt av denna kablifiering är att näten får förändrade systemegenskaper. Förändringen innebär att det vid ett jordfel skapas en oönskad resistiv strömkomponent (Ir) från ledningssystemet, vilket ger problem med de elsäkerhetskrav som ställs. En förutsättning för att hantera jordfelsströmmar i stora kabelnät är att Ir reduceras, för detta ändamål saknas idag väl fungerande tekniska lösningar. Detta arbete syftar till att genomföra en analys av systemegenskaper vid kablifiering. Vidare är syftet att ta fram ett underlag för kravspecificering av kablar samt söka svar på frågan om hur man med hjälp av utlokaliserade spolar kan minimera de negativa verkningar som kablifiering av näten medför. Resultat från studien visar att Ir kan minska genom att öka kablars skärmarea och minska dess kapacitans, störst effekt ger en förändring av kapacitansen. Vidare visar arbetet att nätens konfiguration påverkar storleken på Ir, störst problem ger långsträckta nät. En effektiv metod att reducera Ir är att tillämpa utlokaliserad kompensering, alltså spolar placerade ute i näten. Metoden är särskilt effektiv på långa utledningar. En annan effekt av utlokaliserade reaktorer är att betydelsen av kablarnas elektriska egenskaper minskar. I denna studie framkommer inga alternativ till utlokaliserad kompensering i stora kabelnät.

    Bakgrund:Berätta en saga! När vi varit på Vfu har barnen bett att man ska läsa för dem. Att det också har en stor del i förskolans vardag har vi märkt under vår utbildning till lärare i förskola/förskoleklass. Men vad är det med saga som är så speciellt och hur använder man sig av den i den pedagogiska verksamheten i förskolan? Det här vill vi med vår studie ta reda på. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur pedagoger och barn talar om saga, vilken betydelse den har och hur de säger att de använder den. Metod: I undersökningen har vi använt oss av intervjuer och även gjort en observation. Vi har intervjuat sex förskollärare och åtta barn. Resultat: I resultatet har framkommit vad pedagoger och barn säger om saga. De menar att saga är en berättelse som läses ur en bok eller berättas muntligt, ibland med hjälp av bilder. För barnen kan det även vara ett kassettband eller en film. Pedagogerna betonar att en saga förmedlar ett budskap och att det är en form av kommunikation mellan den som berättar och de som lyssnar. De anser även att det finns mycket att lära av saga: sociala färdigheter, att lära av text och innehåll och saga som upplevelse. Barnen nämner bland annat att man kan lära sig att läsa. Ifråga om skapande verksamhet, alltså olika estetiska uttrycksformer, visar resultatet att det inte är så vanligt att rita, måla, dramatisera osv. efter saga, men däremot när de har temaarbete på förskolan. Olika sätt att påverka miljö/stämning har också framkommit. Både pedagoger och barn poängterar de yttre faktorerna som till exempel var det är viktigt att sitta vid sagoläsning. Pedagogerna tar även upp om den inre betydelsen som att väcka olika känslor och att barnen då får inlevelse i sagan

    Abstract [en]

    The purpose of this paper is to explore how mediation activities in Sweden is made by a Swedish authority. It's about how the participants mention mediation, and how the need for changes that are around mediation as a tool in crime prevention works. My two questions is about how actors view mediation and what it takes for mediation to work between all levels within the various authorities. Through the work I have used the concept of restorative justice and demonstrated how it differs from the retributive justice. Restorative justice is about how to repair an injury, which is one of mediation purposes and where the perpetrator and victim are given the opportunity to meet in mediation. The retributive justice involves the offender and the victim meeting in the courtroom.

    I have used the Social Board report "

    Mediation in crime for young offenders". It is about how local government works with mediation, but is also an analysis of the need to support mediation activities. The report highlights the problem areas and the way to success.

    The method I used is Michel Foucault's discourse analysis. The result of the analysis is about the discourses I find in the report .What I would like to show is that mediation is portrayed as both an opportunity and a problem. I find a comprehensive need of discourse, a discourse of knowledge and an administrative discourse .Then I also present an economic discourse that is not as clear as the other discoursers, and obligations and rights within discourses.

    Abstract [en]

    By the beginning of 2015 a couple of new articles in the Swedish Planning and Building Act (PBL) were introduced. For the first time in history there are specific sections that regulate Swedish development agreements. The purpose is the political will to create a faster and simpler planning process. Among other things it is about creating transparency and an openness in the procedure so that a constructor can calculate in advance their costs for a certain project. At the same time it is also about giving the municipality and its residents awareness of the consequences of the agreement. The purpose of this study is to straighten out how to interpret the notion "to institute" in PBL 6:40. The method used was both quantitative with a conducted survey and qualitative with interviews. The survey was sent to all 290 municipalities in Sweden and got a responserate of 57 %. Interviews were made with four persons in the trade and seven municipalities.

    The results show that a majority of the Swedish municipalities construct public areas with municipal mandatorship, when the municipality does not own the land, with a public procurement according to the Swedish Act on Public Contracts (LOU). A couple of the municipalities admit that they make exceptions for contracts with minor monetary values. At the end of the day the civil servants of the municipalities are dubious about changing their work procedures, to one where the developer is allowed to construct, because the legal position is uncertain. The results also clearly show that there is, in general, a great insecurity and confusion about the notion "to institute" and its interpretation among both civil servants and persons in the trade. It appears that a public procurement should always be used when the trigger value is transcended or when there is a cross-border interest. In other cases the legal position is unclear and it seems that PBL 6:40 and LOU collide, even though these legalisations should exist in harmony. For that reason a clarification about how the interpretation should be done is needed in the law.

    Bakgrund: Elever ges få möjligheter att kommunicera matematik i skolan. Att samtala om matematik har visat sig vara en fördel för elevers kunskapsutveckling då de genom utbyte av matematiska tankar och idéer kan förbättra sitt lärande genom att synliggöra nya tankebanor och lösningsprocesser för varandra. Dock möts elever vanligtvis av en envägskommunikation från lärare, vilket kan medföra att deras kreativa tänkande hämmas. Då matematiska samtal har betydelse för elevers kunskapsutveckling motiverades vi till att undersöka hur samtalsstrategier kan utveckla elever till att kommunicera matematik och förklara och redogöra för sina tankebanor och lösningsstrategier. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att belysa om kommunikationsstrategier i form av Talk Moves kan bidra till att utveckla elevers förmåga att uttrycka sina tankar när de arbetar med uppgifter i matematik. Metod: Studiens empiriska material samlades in genom observationer och tre fokusgruppsintervjuer samt ljudupptagning vid samtliga tillfällen. Vi utförde tre lektioner i matematik med elever från årskurs 2. I genomförandet intog en av oss rollen som deltagande observatör och tillämpade Talk Moves på eleverna, medan den andra intog en passiv observationsroll och använde ett observationsschema för att observera elevernas utveckling. Efter samtliga lektionstillfällen genomförde vi fokusgruppsintervjuer där vi delade gruppen på hälften och intervjuade fem elever vardera. Resultat: Vårt resultat visar att eleverna upplever att matematiska samtal kan vara svårt och därmed behövde de mer stöttande frågor vid första lektionen. Resultatet visar att eleverna till en början upplevde att matematiska samtal var svårt, men att de vid andra och tredje lektionstillfället utvecklades i samtalen och kunde redogöra för sina egna och kamraternas strategier för att lösa matematiska uppgifter. Efter hand blev eleverna bättre på att kommunicera matematik i den mening att de kunde förklara och redogöra bättre för sina tankebanor. Elevernas upplevelser av matematiska samtal som designats utifrån Talk Moves var att det blev lättare för varje tillfälle och att det var positivt i den bemärkelse att de fick lära sig nya lösningsstrategier av varandra.

    Bakgrund

    Svenska elevers läsförmåga och studieresultat i svenskämnet har enligt internationella kunskapsmätningar försämrats. Orsakerna till de försämrade studieresultaten beskrivs vara många. Det framkommer bland annat i forskningen att lärarens ledarskap i klassrummet påverkar elevens lärande. Däremot finns det begränsat med studier kring hur verksamma lärare talar om sitt ledarskap och dess betydelse för elevernas lärande som en följd av elevernas försämrade prestationer.

    Syfte

    Det övergripande syftet med studien var att få kunskap om hur verksamma svenskalärare talar om sitt ledarskap i klassrummet och vilken betydelse lärare anser att ledarskapet har för elevernas lärande. Studiens syfte har konkretiserats i följande frågeställningar:

    • Hur anser lärarna i studien att olika faktorer och ledarskapsstilar kan påverka elevernas lärande?

    • Vilka uppfattningar har lärarna i studien om möjliga samband mellan sitt ledarskap och elevernas lärande?

    Metod

    Undersökningen har en kvalitativ forskningsansats där individuella intervjuer användes som datainsamlingsmetod. Fyra intervjuer genomfördes med tre verksamma lärare i svenska och en verksam specialpedagog, som i grunden är lärare i svenska. Samtliga informanter arbetar med elever på lågstadiet från årskurs ett till tre. Det insamlade datamaterialet transkriberades ordagrant och analyserades utifrån ett socialkonstruktivistiskt synsätt.

    Resultat

    Undersökningens resultat utgörs endast av de fyra enskilda lärarnas uppfattningar och erfarenheter av sitt ledarskap i klassrummet samt dess betydelse för elevernas lärande. Undersökningen visade att lärarna anser att den demokratiska ledarskapsstilen, där elevinflytande är i fokus, gynnar deras elevers lärande. Vidare nämner lärarna i studien framförallt de personliga egenskaperna som betydelsefulla faktorer i sitt ledarskap. Framförallt bör de i sitt ledarskap vara tydliga, engagerade, positiva och trygga för att det ska gynna elevernas lärande. Resultatet utifrån lärarna i studiens uppfattningar om sitt ledarskap visar dessutom att de tror att flera olika orsaker finns till elevernas försämrade studieresultat, dock uppfattar lärarna att det finns samband mellan deras eget ledarskap i klassrummet och elevernas lärande.

    Background: Hypertension is a common disease and over half of all deaths in cardiovascular disease are caused by complications of hypertension. The basis of the treatment is non-pharma-cological and includes lifestyle changes such as physical activity and diet change. Only few patients reach the treatment goal and are well treated, therefor it’s important for the health care service to have a greater understanding on how patients experience implementing lifestyle changes in hypertension.

    Aim: The aim of this study was to describe patient’s experience of implementing lifestyle changes in hypertension.

    Method: A qualitative-based literature study was used. Ten qualitative articles from PubMed, Cinahl and Proquest was analysed by the five-step method described by Friberg (2012).

    Results: Two main themes emerged under the analyse process. The two main themes were: opportunities and barriers, with the sub themes: knowledge, attitude, social, comorbidity, time, society and economy.

    Conclusion: Patients with hypertension experience opportunities and barriers to implement lifestyle changes in hypertension. Patients with good knowledge and a more positive attitude towards their disease had a greater opportunity to implement lifestyle changes in their life. The results also showed that patients had different recourses and assets that affect their possibility to follow and succeed with lifestyle changes. Therefore the nurse should work towards a person-centred care. This provided opportunities for each patient as an individual to obtain knowledge, motivation and good conditions to create and establish self-care.
