    Abstract [sv]

    Chefers arbetssätt har till följd av covid-19 förändrats. Arbete som innan utfördes på fysisk plats har under pandemin utförts på distans via digitala verktyg. Det är mot denna bakgrund vårt intresse har väckts att undersöka hur chefer som tidigare inte utövat ledarskap på distans, i stället har upplevt hur det digitala ledarskapet har kunnat tillämpas till följd av pandemin.

    Studien har ett retrospektivt syfte genom att undersöka vilka utmaningar och möjligheter ledare inom offentlig verksamhet säger sig upplevt i det digitala ledarskapet. Studien har haft en kvalitativ ansats baserat på semistrukturerade intervjuer och analyserades med hjälp av en tematisk analys. I studien deltog elva chefer med olika åldrar, kön, yrkesroller och geografisk plats på sin verksamhet. Resultatet visar på både många utmaningar och möjligheter med eledarskapet som uppstått till följd av ett påtvingat distansarbete. En snabb anpassningsförmåga har funnits hos cheferna i deras e-ledarskap och där ledningen skett medhjälp av digitala verktyg. Resultatet visar exempel på ett lyckat e-ledarskap i mening av kreativa lösningar, kompetensutveckling och en ökad förståelse för medarbetarnas behov och mående under pandemin.

    Abstract [en]

    The purpose of this study is to analyze different condominium characteristics and to find out how much they affect the prices of condominiums located in the central areas of Gothenburg. A hedonic pricing model and several regression analyzes have been used to find the results. Information from 332 sold condominiums from 18-02-2015 to 18-05-2015 has been used in the calculations, grouped into different variables. The various independent variables as living space, fees and location explains the dependent variable that is the final price of condominiums. A shorter time interval has been used to minimize price impact from macroeconomic factors such as inflation, interest rates and economic forecasts. Four different parish areas have been explored: Johanneberg, Vasa, Annedal and Domkyrkan. The information about the condominiums sold was retrieved from värderingsdata.se. The results showed that the size, fees, balcony, floor and age influence the prices. The size indicated the absolute greatest impact on prices.

    Abstract [en]

    The transformative potential of cloud computing in driving business efficiency and innovation is well-acknowledged globally. However, its adoption among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria, a developing economy, is still under-explored and fraught with unique challenges including infrastructural deficits, high internet costs, limited technical expertise, concerns over data security and sovereignty, and regulatory uncertainties. This study investigates the challenges and opportunities associated with the adoption by leveraging a qualitative research approach, the study utilizes in-depth interviews with a diverse group of stakeholders to collect rich, contextual data. Guided by the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) frameworks, the collected data is analysed to illuminate the key technological, organizational, and environmental factors affecting cloud adoption. By offering critical insights into the realities and complexities of technology adoption, the study aims to inform strategic decision-making among SMEs, policymakers, and technology vendors. It also proposes actionable recommendations for overcoming the identified barriers and optimizing the potential of cloud technology for the growth and competitiveness of Nigerian SMEs. The outcomes of this research highlight the need for collaborative efforts in fostering an environment conducive to technological advancement and digital transformation in the SME sector in Nigeria.

    Bakgrund: Det står klart och tydligt i Skollagen (2010:800), SkolL, 1 kap. 4 §: att utbildningen inom skolväsendet ska främja alla elevers lust att lära. Därmed har lärare ett uppdrag att stimulera och motivera lärandet hos elever. Utifrån vårt arbete på SFI är det utmanande att uppfylla detta krav främst på grund av elevernas olika förutsättningar, precis som Eriksson-Sjöö (2002) beskriver i sin licentiatavhandling.

    Syfte: Undersökningens övergripande syfte har varit att få kunskap om hur SFI-lärare arbetar för att motivera sina elever till lärande av svenska som andraspråk. Vidare är syftet att se vilka strategier som används kopplat till vad tidigare forskningsresultat visar på inom detta valda område.

    Metod: Den metod som tillämpades till studien är den kvalitativa med semistrukturerade intervjuer. Anledningen är att låta SFI-lärare berätta fritt om sina upplevelser och erfarenheter med utgång från vår intervjuguide. Samtalen spelades in med mobiltelefon alternativt i Google Meet. Till analysen transkriberades alla intervjuerna.

    Resultat: Resultatet av denna studie visar att SFI-lärare är eniga om några framgångsrika lärarstrategier och arbetsmetoder som lärarna upplever stimulerar och höjer elevers motivation till lärandet av svenska. I undersökningen framgår även olika strategier som används i SFIundervisningen. Det omfattar engagemang, vardagslivsanknytning, personliga intressen, bemötande och positiv klassrumsmiljö.

    Abstract [en]

    Digitization is a factor that grows in step with society's changes, and thus different organizations must take into account a change process that means meeting new perspectives and ways of working. The accounting process is one of many processes that have undergone a revolutionary development and are still in constant change. This study will therefore investigate how digitization has affected the accounting process in various organizations. The purpose of this essay is to get a more detailed picture of how accounting consultants have been affected by the change due to digitization in a more digitized accounting firm and a less digitized accounting firm in the private sector. The study was conducted using a qualitative method where the data collection was done at two agencies in the private sector through a survey. The survey consisted of open survey questions where the respondents were allowed to answer freely. The results showed that the digitization of the accounting process increased the effectiveness of the work. This has led to more time being left over for other tasks such as advice. The study has also shown that the accounting consultants predominantly have a positive attitude towards the work becoming more and more digitized. By comparing the accounting process between two different agencies, we have been able to see how the digitization process has affected the accounting agencies. In the more digitized office, work has become more efficient as the office has become paperless. In the less digitized accounting firm, the work for the parts that have been digitized has become more efficient, while the other parts are under an ongoing development process.

    Our study aims to problematize and examine how social workers perceive social service treatment of clients who identify them self as LGBTQ. We have chosen to analyze the social workers´ answers based on a norm-critical and social constructivist perspective. The study is based on five interviews with employees working in social services with different target groups. We have examined how they relate to LGBTQ issues arising at work. We also explored whether social workers acquired a LGBTQ perspective and norm-critical approach through their initial training and any further training through their employment. The social workers emphasize that it is very important to treat the clients without preconceptions. In summary the results shows that the five social workers do have a willingness to work with LGBTQ issues and norm critical theories. But these issues get lower priority due to time constraints. They also expressed a desire for more knowledge and training in LGBTQ issues as this is something that is missing. However the social services require tools, knowledge, time and resources to be able to meet their clients' needs

    Bakgrund: Vårt intresse för hur pedagogerna arbetar med fysisk aktivitet i förskolan grundar sig i att vi har uppmärksammat hur dagens barn generellt är allt mer stillasittande och upptagna av digitala medier. Eftersom många barn vistas på förskolan större delen av sin vakna tid, anser vi att det är av intresse att ta reda på hur pedagogerna arbetar för att främja fysisk aktivitet på förskolan.

    Syfte: Syftet med vår undersökning är att undersöka hur pedagoger beskriver sitt arbete med att främja fysiska aktiviteter hos barn i förskolan.

    Metod: Vi har använt oss av en kvalitativ studie för att få en djupare förståelse kring vår frågeställning. Vi har genomfört ett flertal intervjuer eftersom vi ville ta del av pedagogernas tankar, åsikter och erfarenheter. Målgruppen för vår studie var både barnskötare och förskollärare då de båda yrkeskategorierna arbetar med samma läroplan och övriga styrdokument. I vår undersökning har vi utgått från det sociokulturella perspektivet där begreppen proximala utvecklingszonen, approprierad kunskap, verktyg eller redskap och kultur fick stå i fokus. Vi har genomfört vår undersökning på de förskolor som vi har haft vår VFU (verksamhetsförlagd utbildning) och var där med kända hos pedagogerna sen tidigare.

    Resultat: Resultatet visar att samtliga pedagoger har ett gemensamt förhållningssätt till arbetet med fysisk aktivitet som bidrar till att inspirera, uppmuntra, visa glädje och föregå med ett gott exempel. Miljön är något som påverkar och utgör olika förutsättningar i arbetet med fysisk aktivitet. Inomhus arbetar pedagogerna medvetet med att skapa fria ytor med varierande inredning för att inspirera och främja fysisk aktivitet och olika rörelselekar. Utegården erbjuder stora fria ytor, pedagogerna är angelägna om att det ska finnas verktyg och redskap som stimulerar leken, de menar att den fysiska aktiviteten då kommer naturligt och bidrar till rörelse. Pedagogerna ser också till att med hjälp av olika föremål i möjliga mån skapa förutsättningar som bidrar till en varierande utemiljö för barnen. Det framgår även att pedagogerna utnyttjar skogen och gymnastiksalen för att komplettera förskolans egna resurser. I den dagliga verksamheten arbetar pedagogerna ständigt med att stötta och uppmuntra med hjälp av lek, så att barnen stegvis kan ta sig an fysiska utmaningar, samtidigt som pedagogen observerar barnens beteende.

    Inledning: Idén till denna studie framkom efter vår verksamhetsförlagda utbildning (VFU) från förskollärarprogrammet på Högskolan Väst. Musiken och sången finns alltid närvarande genom sångstunder, spontansång vid matbordet eller i form av sångtexter och noter uppsatta på väggarna. Dock är de lärarledda musikaktiviteterna ofta i återskapande form, eller call-response form, det vill säga att barn upprepar något som en pedagog sjunger först. Hur kan det komma sig att musiken, som i läroplanen inte har en uttalad koppling till språket, har en förhållandevis stor roll i förskoleverksamhetens vardag?

    Syfte: Studiens syfte är att undersöka hur pedagoger använder musik och musikaktiviteter i språkutvecklande syfte i förskolan. Frågeställningar som användes var på vilka sätt musik kan användas i språkutvecklande syfte, och hur förskolans pedagoger talar om kopplingen mellan musik och språkutveckling.

    Metod: För att svara på dessa frågeställningar valde vi att använda oss av den kvalitativ forskningsmetod, närmare bestämt fokusgrupper. Genom de diskussioner som uppstår i fokusgrupper vidgas deltagarnas synsätt, erfarenheter och åsikter med hjälp av de andra deltagarnas perspektiv. Vi valde just denna metod då vi anser att den ger oss data som kan ge svar på de frågeställningar som framställts. Studien utfördes på förskolor i Västsverige, med deltagare i spridd ålder från flera olika kommunala förskolor samt en öppen förskola inom samma område.

    Resultat: Resultatet visar att musiken till stor del används som ett språkutvecklande verktyg på grund av det intresse och den uppmärksamhet musiken bidrar med, den sprider glädje och hjälper barn att slappna av. Det är lätt att variera lärarledda aktiviteter samt anpassa nivån på lärandeobjektet till varje individs behov och nivå. Enligt vissa pedagoger ses inte användningen av instrument i musikaktiviteter som nödvändigt för barns språkutveckling, men det ses som en stor tillgång att ha musikaliskt kunniga pedagoger i arbetslaget. Det syns även skillnad i arbetssättet på förskolor och på öppna förskolan, där öppna förskolan inte har samma krav på verksamheten. Trots det sker sångstunder och musikaktiviteter regelbundet där syftet ofta är att stötta barn i sin språkliga utveckling.

    Do the land-poor gain from agricultural investments? Empirical evidence from Zambia using panel data2015Report (Other academic)
    Abstract [en]

    In the context of the global land rush, some portray large-scale land acquisitions as a potent threat to the livelihoods of already marginalized rural farming households in Africa. In order to avoid the potential pitfall of studying a particular project that may well have atypical effects, this paper systematically investigates the impact on commercial farm wage incomes for rural smallholder households of all pledged investments in the agricultural sector in Zambia between 1994 and 2007. The results suggest that agricultural investments are associated with a robust moderate positive effect, but only for households with a relative shortage of land.

    Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur personal på särskilt boende arbetade med gemenskap. Studien genomfördes med hjälp av kvalitativ ansats och semistrukturerade intervjuer med personal såväl som brukare. 6 personer intervjuades, 3 personal och 3 äldre. Studien analyserades genom en tematisk analys. Begreppen gemenskap, ensamhet, ålderism och teorin gerotranscendence användes för att förstå, tolka och analysera resultatet av materialet. Resultaten i studien visade på att äldre på boendet främst sökte sig till gemenskapen med anhöriga vid inflytt till det särskilda boendet, men att de också skapade en ny form av gemenskap med personalen. Däremot visade resultaten att äldre hade svårare att skapa gemenskap sinsemellan på grund av svårigheter i kommunikationen. Det framkom dessutom att det fanns en skillnad mellan personalens och de äldres uppfattning av vad gemenskap innebar. Avslutningsvis valde vi att diskutera resultaten samt redovisa tankegångarna som utvecklades under studiens gång. Vidare redovisades också hur förförståelsen kring ämnet påverkades. Under diskussionen redogjordes för vad som hade varit intressant inom framtida forskning

    Det första mötet med socialtjänsten kan vara avgörande för kvinnor som är utsatta för våld i nära relation. Studien syftar till att undersöka hur professionella inom socialtjänsten bemöter våldsutsatta kvinnor. Studien genomfördes med kvalitativ ansats genom sex semistrukturerade intervjuer. Totalt deltog åtta yrkesutövare inom socialt arbete som möter våldsutsatta kvinnor i det praktiska arbetet. Alla hade högskola eller universitetsutbildning i form av socionom, socialpedagog, beteendevetare och behandlingspedagog. Det empiriska materialet analyserades med en tematisk analys. Det teoretiska ramverket, med utgångspunkt i Scheffs socioemotionella värld används i analysen för att bidra till en förståelse av interaktion och samspel mellan människor. Samt hur professionella bemöter sina klienter både på ett intellektuellt och känslomässigt plan.

    Skam och professionell empati är centrala begrepp i analysen. Enligt tidigare forskning saknas kunskap och kompetens bland professionella i arbetet med våld i nära relation. Studiens resultat visar på att bemötandet är helt avgörande i arbetet med våldsutsatta kvinnor. Hur professionella använder sin kunskap och kompetens i det praktiska arbetet skiljer sig åt mellan olika enheter. Professionellas rädsla, otrygghet och frustration är emotioner som inverkar på bemötandet.

    Skam är en framträdande emotion och ett hinder för våldsutsatta kvinnor att berätta om sin utsatthet. Skammen finns i olika skepnader, så som skam kopplat till identitet och yrkesroll samt skam kopplat till det sexuella våldet. Både socionomer och socialpedagoger möter våldsutsatta kvinnor i det dagliga arbetet. Ett öppet och inlyssnande förhållningsätt är avgörande för bemötandet. Samt att inte döma, vägleda och motivera våldsutsatta kvinnor till förändring och ett självständigt liv utan våld.

    Abstract [en]

    All over the western world, media are giving Muslims the role as scapegoats for everything that is wrong with society. Through grave generalizations as well as alleged connections between Islam and terrorism, social categorizations are established in which Muslims become the ‘others’. Research has been made on a various amount of western nations, with the exception of a few, and this thesis explores how Argentinean media portray Islam and Muslims. With the use of quantitative and qualitative text analyses, the result will show the levels of priming and framing in relation to earlier research. By assuming social constructivism, a high frequency of these two ‘faces of power’ would affect societal relations, possibly creating a gap between an ‘us’ and ‘them’. Our findings suggest, however, this is not the case in Argentina; on the contrary, Argentinean media lack the frames which make Muslims ‘others’. This important discovery implies that the relationship between Islam and the West of today does not necessarily have to be one of two combatants, incapable of coexisting.

    Abstract [en]

    This essay aims to examines the topic of introduction process, where we approach first-time line managers experiences of what such a process should contain in order to take on the new role as manager in the best possible way. The introduction represents the process of assimilating the new line manager into the new role. The study is based on data produced through semi-structured interviews with 9 recently promoted line managers in a public organization. The results indicate that activities such as dialogue, practical participation and reflection are very important parts to include in an introductory process for first-line managers. The greatest lessons are based on experience-based and informal learning. This thanks to the large network of contacts presented early in the introduction process. The contact network is considered to be an important and supportive part in the role transition of first line managers to that extent, that the first line managers are asking for more of the planned opportunities for discussion and dialogue. The contact network includes mentoring, which provides space and opportunity to vent practical questions, feelings and thoughts. Based on these results, this study argues that organizations should keep this in mind when preparing an introductory process for managers.

    Abstract [en]

    The recruitment-subject is very emotional regardless of context. We noticed initially that the subject is very diverse and therefore we had to limit ourselves. The intent of the study was to be objective. We chose to research about the recruitment process and the building blocks behind it. The process is undeniably the heart of the recruitment process and employee turnover, which is why it should be highly developed and effective.

    This study is primarily based on a qualitative method, whereas the purpose is to answer the research question; "How does the recruitment process work? – What is the most important part in the recruitment process?". Theory and research are based on current as well as established work within the subject. The reason we use established work is that it is still useful to the degree that it has not been proved wrong or obsolete to this day. The empirics was gathered through six different set of interviews with different participants. The participants are employed within different areas of their respective organization and thereby give us different perspectives of the process. The study results in an analysis of our theory and empirics. The analysis in turn will be based upon our hermeneutical method, meaning that it is our own interpretation based on the research material. The interpretation is validated based on the theory and research presented in the study. The analysis results in a conclusion that answers the two research questions.

    The result of our research study proves that the process is dependent on different factors, such as requirement analysis, selection methods and well planned interviews. A key to success during the recruitment process are personality and behavior tests. The most important factor during the recruitment process is the more current method, which is based on e-recruitment. E-recruitment focuses on being effective and automated. It is a hybrid among the studied recruitment forms that does not affect the size of the recruiting organization.

    Abstract [en]

    This study aims to investigate how individuals with a combined substance abuse and housing problems describe their views on their addiction, their homes and the help they receive through the care of the community social service agencies. In light of the insufficient scien-tific evidence in the fields of substance abuse and housing support, the purpose of this paper is to gain increased knowledge in the both fields. An acquisition of increased knowledge is needed and important from a societal perspective as well as from an individual perspective.

    The fact that the economic resources in society are put on actions that is utilized to increase the ability of the individual to recover from substance abuse and housing problems is of benefit to society, but above all it benefits the individual. The individual becomes an asset to society instead of a continued drain on community resources. Increased knowledge in the field can contribute to learning for those in the field, but also for others interested.

    This concept is in line with Work Integrated Learning (= AIL). The study is based on eight interviews and the methodology and analysis are inspired by the phenomenological perspec-tive. The results shows that all interviewed informants find dependencies in the home as sup-port in the form of two aspects, partly as a relative support and partly as a daily support. The results further shows that the abuse, for many, resulted in isolation from family and non-addicted friends. Additionally, the home is seen as a basis for security and integrity.

    Bakgrunden till vår studie startade under vår lärarutbildning då vi läst om leken och dess betydelse i ett barns liv. Vi delade en dröm att få komma till ett barnhem i Afrika. Under en föreläsning undervisades om barnkonventionen som lyfter att alla barn ska ha rätt till lek. Denna studie syftar till att undersöka vilka möjligheter barnen ges till lek på ett barnhem i södra Tanzania. I vår studie har vi använt oss av en kvalitativ metod. Vi valde fallstudie som forskningsmetod. Det material vi har samlat in gjorde vi i form av observationer under vår vistelse på barnhemmet Bulongwa Children's Home i Tanzania. Vårt resultat visade att barnen ges goda möjligheter till lek utifrån deras förutsättningar men de förväntas att leka själva. Samspelande sker oftast barnen emellan. Kvinnorna ser sin roll som omsorgsgivande då de ger barnen tillsyn. Det tillfälle under dagen som pedagogik ges är till femåringarna under kindergarden och tillhörande lekrum.

    The following bachelor’s thesis aims to examine Donald Trump’s political leadership style, and which leadership attributes he displays to gain follower support behind political policy propositions. Based on the leadership theories of Machiavellianism and charismatic leadership, the thesis more specifically examines: How Donald Trump, if at all, displays Machiavellian and charismatic leadership attributes in his political leadership. In particular, how are these attributes displayed when justifying his proposition of a US-Mexican border wall? The thesis builds upon a single case study and uses a qualitative content analysis in order to analyze the data. Through gathered speeches from the search tool “factba.se”, it has been observed that Trump’s leadership concerning the wall against the Mexican border display certain Machiavellian and charismatic leadership attributes. The results indicate that the most frequently displayed attributes in Trump’s political leadership regarding the wall is that he uses authoritarian and confident arguments to a higher extent than narcissistic and controversial arguments to justify his proposition of a US-Mexican border wall.

    Bakgrund:

    Enligt vår uppfattning påverkas barns lärande av pedagogers tankar och förhållningssätt till det skapande materialets tillgänglighet. Studien berör barns lärande kopplat till miljöns utformning och materialets placering. Vi har i vår undersökning, med hjälp av forskningsbakgrund och teoretiska utgångspunkter, diskuterat och analyserat nio pedagogers tankar om den skapande verksamheten.

    Syfte:

    Syftet med studien är att få ökad kunskap om det skapande materialets tillgänglighet och miljöns påverkan på barns lärande i förskolan.

    Metod:

    Vi har som metod utgått ifrån en kvalitativ intervju. Vi genomförde åtta intervjuer med nio pedagoger på olika förskolor. Under bearbetningen av intervjuerna valde vi att enskilt transkribera det empiriska materialet för att sedan tillsammans sammanställa ett resultat med hjälp av att kategorisera materialet.

    Resultat:

    I vårt resultat av studien ser vi att den skapande verksamheten är viktig för barns lärande och utveckling. Pedagogerna i vår undersökning lade vikt på att få in skapande i barnens vardag. Vi upplevde att samtliga pedagoger hade liknande tankar om materialets tillgänglighet och miljöns betydelse samt att det har en inverkan för barns lärande. Det fanns vissa skillnader mellan pedagogernas tankar om var materialet skulle stå, när barnen fick skapa och vem som fick skapa

    Bakgrund: Lärplattan är ett relativt nytt digitalt verktyg i förskolans verksamhet. Då lärplattan har tagit plats i förskolans vardag, är frågan hur den ska användas i praktiken. Föregångaren till lärplattan är datorn som förskolan använde sig av i praktiken, men samhället har förändrats och ny teknik har nu tagit plats i verksamheten. I den tidigare forskning som vi har tagit del av har vi funnit liknande resultat vad gäller datorer och lärplattor då användandet av dessa påverkas av pedagogen. Vidare belyser Skolverket (2016a) att förskolan kan använda multimedia i verksamheten, trots detta är det en omdebatterad fråga. Skolverket (2016b) har lagt fram ett förslag på förändring inom ämnet där barns digitala kompetens ska stärkas i förskolan. Studien belyser och problematiserar pedagogens förhållningssätt i samband med användandet av lärplattan, studien vill bidra till en djupare förståelse för hur lärplattan används i förskolan. Syfte: Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur pedagoger förhåller sig till och arbetar med lärplattan som arbetsredskap tillsammans med barnen på förskolan. Metod: Studien är av kvalitativ art där två fokusgruppsintervjuer har genomförts. Fokusgruppsintervjuerna har spelats in och transkriberats, därefter gjordes en textanalys av det insamlade materialet som ligger till grund för resultatet i vår studie. Resultat: Studiens resultat visar att ett lärande kan ske med hjälp av lärplattan. Där en närvarande pedagog kan vägleda och stötta barnen i användandet. Det förhållningssätt som pedagogen har är av betydelse för att ett lärande ska ske med hjälp av lärplattan. I studien har vi funnit hur pedagoger beskriver att lärplattan används i förskolans aktiviteter och de beskriver vidare hur den kan bidra till ökad kommunikation och variation i undervisningen. En negativ aspekt om förskolan inte använder lärplattan kan vara att det genererar digitala klyftor i samhället, vilket kan medföra att barnens demokratiska rättigheter förbises. Förskolan kan dock motverka dessa digitala klyftor genom att pedagogerna medvetet använder lärplattan, där alla barn får möjlighet att lära om och med de digitala verktygen.

    Fritidslärarens uppdrag finns tydligt beskrivet i styrdokument avseende den tid de arbetar i fritidshemmet men hur tiden ska disponeras under skoltid är inte lika självklart. Då vi upplevde att det fanns en stor variation i fritidslärarnas uppgifter valde vi att undersöka vad olika fritidslärare har för uppgifter och ansvar under skoltiden. Syftet med den här studien var att ta reda på hur de rekontextualiserar (tolkar) sitt uppdrag och hur de använder sig av fritidspedagogiken i sin undervisning men även vad som förhindrar och möjliggör deras arbete.

    Våra forskningsfrågor blev följande: Hur kan undervisning i skolan ske med hjälp av fritidspedagogik enligt fritidslärare? Vilket handlingsutrymme ges fritidslärare i skolans undervisning enligt fritidslärarna själva?

    Studien baseras på en kvalitativ metod bestående av intervjuer och enkäter där vi undersökt fritidslärares uppfattningar om vårt forskningsområde. Vi har utgått från ett kunskapssociologiskt perspektiv med Bernsteins pedagogiska teori som grund för vår analys.

    Resultatet visar på att fritidslärarna tolkar sitt uppdrag ur ett fritidspedagogiskt perspektiv där elevernas intressen och behov styr hur undervisningen ska läggas upp och där gruppen och det sociala samspelet står i centrum. Fritidslärarna tolkar fritidspedagogik som ett mer praktiskt arbetssätt som kan användas som ett bra komplement till den traditionella skolundervisningen. Det framkommer dock att fritidslärarna upplever att deras kompetens inte tas till vara på i den utsträckningen de önskar, då de ofta används som resurser och assistenter utan möjlighet att ansvara och planera sin egen undervisning. Det är rektorn som bestämmer var resurserna ska läggas vilket betyder att det är hen som har makten över hur fritidslärarens tid ska disponeras under skoltid.

    The purpose of the study is to achieve an increased understanding of the school counselors' experiences of practical and theoretical knowledge in conversations with students.

    To answer the purpose, the following questions have been used: What experience does the school counselors have of theoretical and practical knowledge in conversations with students? Do the school counselors experience that any other form of knowledge emerges, than the theoretical and practical knowledge, in conversations with students? The study is based on a qualitative method and is inspired by a phenomenological research approach. In other words, we have not investigated the phenomenon, but the school counselors experiences of the phenomenon. The data collection method used for the study is semi-structured interviews. The material has been analyzed using a phenomenological analysis method.

    The result of the study shows that school counselors experience both practical and theoretical knowledge as significant in conversations with students. The school counselors' experiences of what the forms of knowledge mean and how they are used in conversations with students differ, but the common denominator of their experiences is that one cannot exclude the other. During the work on the study, another form of knowledge emerged that was considered for the school counselors as at least as important as the practical and theoretical knowledge. This knowledge is referred to as interpersonal knowledge, of which the school counselors' experiences of this form of knowledge are also separated here. Interpersonal knowledge is described both as a personality-based knowledge and as a tacit knowledge. The school counselors also experienced that an empathic approach and their intuition affects the conversation with the students.

    Bakgrund: De senaste åren har en ökande invandring till Sverige haft en betydande inverkan på det svenska samhället, något som har lett till en ökning av antalet personer som talar flera språk och som har andra modersmål än svenska. Detta har i sin tur påverkat skolor som har förändrats, med klassrum som blivit heterogena och är fulla av olika språk, kulturer och bakgrunder. Detta innebär många svårigheter för nyanlända elever, samt utmaningar för skolorna och lärarna. En stor utmaning för lärarna är att undervisa i engelska till de nyanlända eleverna samtidigt som dessa elever får lära sig svenska som undervisningsspråk. Det är detta som också skapar svårigheter av speciell karaktär för dessa elever. Denna studie syftar till att belysa dessa svårigheter och utmaningar.

    Syfte: Denna studie syftar till att belysa de språksvårigheter som nyanlända elever möter när de lär sig engelska och de utmaningar som lärare står inför när de undervisar nyanlända elever i engelska. Studien kommer också att lyfta fram de arbetssätt som lärare använder för att främja nyanlända elevers lärande.

    Metod: Denna studie är kvalitativ, och data har samlats in genom semi-strukturerade intervjuer med fyra erfarna engelsklärare som undervisar på högstadiet och en grupp elever i årskurs nio som nyligen kommit till Sverige. Intervjuerna har genomförts på deltagarnas arbetsplatser. En intervjuguide användes för samtliga intervjuer. Dessa transkriberades sedan och svaren tematiserades.

    Resultat: Studiens resultat visade att elevernas svårigheter utmanar lärarna. Eleverna har svårt att lära sig två språk tillsammans, vilket hindrar dem från att uppnå ett bra resultat, särskilt de som inte har tidigare kunskaper i engelska. Att anpassa undervisningen till elevernas olika behov är också en utmaning för lärarna, i synnerhet som de upplever en brist på tid utöver bristen på resurser och utbildning för att undervisa nyanlända elever. Flera metoder används för att anpassa undervisningen till elevernas behov, varav en är metoden ”parallell läggning”.

    Well-being in the society and improvement of people's life standards are linked to sustainable development in society. Stimulation of the individual's learning, competencies and career development contributes to community development and hence promotion of the sustainable development of our society in the future. Therefore it is of great importance to discuss different learning concepts and developing theories of learning and work integrated learning (WIL).University West vision is a work integrated learning, as approach and method. Discussion and debate about what WIL is and how it should be applied in education and courses is going on constantly on the university and has largely been made since the university was founded. On the syllabuses of different courses on basic and advanced level, stats that the work integrated learning elements should be mentioned. On the guidelines presents examples of what WIL-element can be, leaves to those who plans the courses to identify what such a moment can be. My view is that; as definition and identification of such moments are, left to every employee, there is an uncertainty in what WIL-element actually is. Different disciplines can define the concept differently and thereby the uncertainty is high about what really WIL-elements can be. That is why, I believe it is of great importance to discuss what WIL is?.Purpose of the study is to identify what the colleges at university west, consider to be WIL-elements and how it is applied in practice in courses. The study's purpose is also to contribute to the theoretical development of WIL and theories of learning.Part one is introduction. Part two deals with description of WIL, theoretical foundations for the study. Work-integrated learning has been defined differently and in different ways. But what is common is the combination of theory and practice or academia and work/workplace.In part three discusses approach and survey's design and empirical presentation. In part four presents some facts from reality, ie, empirical facts. Part five is about discussion and conclusions. When discussing WIL, often is focus and emphases is primarily on the workplace and experiential learning. While on University West, is focus on theoretical learning in the first place, not on the workplace. The focus is on the learning that happens at the university and how it should be linked to practice and workplace. This means that the starting point is from the opposite side. Another aspect is that, the perception of WIL, is vague and not precise.

    The purpose of this paper is description and understanding of the individual career development (as entrepreneur or employee) as a dynamical process. I have studied the interaction and cooperation between different formal (politics) and informal (culture) institutions and their impacts on the individual's carrier development process (as entrepreneur as well as employee) during three different stages, i.e. socialization processes, opportunity identification processes, and finally career formation and development processes. Research methodology is qualitative i.e. case study, and consists of several cases. Study is based on twenty interviews at the two municipalities (10 from each one – four unemployed, three employed and three businessmen/entrepreneurs) and observation of municipalities at the west Sweden so called "Västra götalands Regionen". Individual's career development from two municipalities are compared with each other. Different categories (employed, unemployed and businessmen)are compared and differences in influences of institutions on different categories in two municipalities are identified and described. Study shows that both formal and informal institutions affect individual's career development process during three stages, i.e. socialization processes, career identification/creation processes, and finally career formation's development process. In other words, survey shows that, Politics and culture affects individual's career development and thereby regional development. Theoretical contributions are: results of this study can contribute to different understanding of entrepreneurship, employment and unemployment. It widens theoretical views of the subject, by understanding the role institutions can play at the individual's career development processes. 230 Practical contributions are: results can be used in individual career development by job centers and for planning and avoiding or facing future unemployment. It can also be used in companies and other workplaces planning and construction or formation of employee´s career development.

    Abstract [en]

    In connection to an existing research project, Micro-migration and Integration with relevance for Uddevalla, this study aims to analyse and compare the subjective understandings of Somali women’s experiences in the integration process in the Swedish society. Integration is a multifaceted and ongoing process in which the self-understandings of this notion is bound to change over time in relation to socio-economic and cultural contexts. In light of this, the thesis employs a comparative case study that is based on data collected through focus group discussions with newly arrived women and women who have stayed in Sweden for a longer time. The analytical framework utilizes acculturation theory to study what traces of integration, assimilation, separation and marginalization can be identified in the selfunderstandings and how they develop over time. Some of the conclusions from the study by the interviewees notify language being crucial. Both groups understand that Swedish constitutes a step in the overall process for establishment and the newly arrived women showed an awareness about it being the ultimate factor that can speed up their own integration process. The findings of the research include that there is a deviation of the understandings between the groups when it comes to housing and identity. The group of newly arrived women with the exception of one participant, indicated a clear separation in regard to both aspects above whereas the women who have lived in Sweden for 9-10 years showed clear traces of integration. Hence, in the beginning of the integration process a person might have a theoretical understanding that indicates separation but experience a discursive shift towards the lens of integration.

    Purpose and issues: The purpose of this study is to investigate how the COVID-19 pandemic has been framed by the Swedish newspapers. This analysis mainly focuses on the reporting of four (online) Swedish newspapers.

    Our chosen main question for this thesis is:How has COVID-19 been framed by Swedish newspapers during the first and second wave?

    Method and material: In this particular study we have gathered our empirical data from four Swedish newspapers from the internet. The data is going to be analysed with the help of critical content analysis and Entman’s four concepts. 

    Main results: This study will show a successful case of government communication around a pandemic and how when a government communicates clear answers to anxiety provoking questions, it can influence media coverage from a negative to a positive direction.

    Studien har genom kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer studerat studiehandledares upplevelser av hur studiehandledning kan påverka nyanlända elevers lärande samt beskriva vilka framgångsfaktorer som kan finnas vid studiehandledning. En fenomenologiskt hermeneutisk ansats har tagits eftersom studien bygger på analyser och tolkningar av studiehandledares egna upplevelser av studiehandledning. I studien intervjuades fyra studiehandledare som arbetar i årskurs 1–6. Då intervjuerna transkriberats analyserades de och därefter gjordes en kategorisering av olika teman som utgjorde grunden för resultatets presentation. I resultatet presenteras informanternas tankar om vilka förutsättningar som finns för studiehandledledning samt hur de ser på studiehandledarens roll. Det som framkommer är bland annat att samarbete mellan studiehandledare och lärare är mycket viktigt. Även att elevens behov måste styra planering och organisation är något som studiehandledarna betonar i intervjuerna. Studiehandledarna betonar också vikten av det sociala stöd som de kan ge för att stötta de nyanlända eleverna i deras lärande.

    Inledning: Det finns relativt lite forskat kring ämnet om hur ridsport påverkar människor och speciellt hur den påverkar människor som är fysiskt och psykiskt friska. Utifrån det väcktes ett intresse i att undersöka hur en grupp unga kvinnor upplever sig påverkas av ridsporten utifrån ett salutogent perspektiv.  Syfte:  Syftet med föreliggande studie är att utifrån unga kvinnors perspektiv studera och analysera hur de påverkas och upplever sig utvecklas av att hålla på med ridsport samt se till vilken betydelse hästen har för dem. Vidare kommer deras upplevelser förstås utifrån begreppet känsla av sammanhang (KASAM).   Metod:  I föreliggande studie valdes kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer utifrån att de ansågs kunna svara på syftet och forskningsfrågorna på bästa sätt. Intervjuerna spelades in och materialet har transkriberats för att senare kodas, tematiserats och summerats. Ett bekvämlighetsurval samt målinriktat urval användes och det genomfördes fyra stycken intressanta intervjuer med personer som har erfarenhet av att vara eller är aktiva inom ridsporten. Resultat:   Resultatet visar att ridsporten bidrar till en mängd positiva faktorer. Bland annat blir personerna lyckliga av att vara i stallet, de utvecklar personliga färdigheter i form av ansvarsförmågor, ledarskapsförmågor och ökat självförtroende. Det finns en stor gemenskap och hästen har en betydelsefull roll. Sett utifrån känsla av sammanhang bidrar ridsporten till känsla av meningsfullhet, hanterbarhet och begriplighet. Deras upplevelser av ridsporten kan förklaras utifrån KASAM-begreppet och de bidrar följaktligen till en ökad hälsa.

    Abstract [en]

    The thesis evaluates both the business and financial performance of Arctic Paper Munkedals AB. The company was founded in 1817 and is located in Munkedal, Sweden. The evaluation was achieved through ratio analysis of the annual reports of Arctic Paper Munkedals AB over a five-year period and business performance analysis using the balanced scorecard model. The data collections are from the annual financial reports for five years before the 2008 recession. Different financial ratios were evaluated such as short-term liquidity ratios, leverage ratios, profitability ratios, asset utilization and capital market ratios. The mathematical calculations were established for ratio analysis from 2003-2007 along with graphical analysis and comparisons. According to Altman (The Journal of Finance, 1968), observed evidence for five years prior to failure was cited as conclusive that ratio analysis can be useful in the prediction of failure. The research paper also analyzes the business performance of Arctic Paper Munkedals AB using the balanced scorecard model. This model is a customer-based planning and process improvement system, with its primary focus on driving an organization's change process by identifying and evaluating pertinent performance measures. It complements the traditional financial perspective with other non­financial perspectives such as customer satisfaction, internal business process as well as learning and growth. The balanced set of performance measures tells a concise yet complete story about the achievement and performance of the organization toward its mission and goals. It provides a holistic view of what is happening in the organization.

    Abstract [en]

    Violence in close relationships is a major problem worldwide, including in Sweden, and is already present in young people’s partner relationships. This cross-sectional study examines young people’s knowledge and view of violence in young people’s partner relationships, as well as professional views and treatment of young people who have in some way experience violence in their partner relationships. The subject was investigated with both quantitative and qualitative analysis. The quantitative method consisted of a questionnaire study with 101 high school student respondents aged 16-20 years. The qualitative material was collected through semi structured interviews with two counsellors working at a youth clinic and an interview with a social worker. The quantitative data was entered and processed in the computer program SPSS 27 for statistical analysis. In the analysis of the material, t-tests were used to compare girls’ and boys’ estimates of acts of violence. The results show significant differences in views on violence based on gender, with girls rating acts of violence higher than boys. Analysis of themes emerging from the qualitative research reveal violence in young people’s close relationships is a difficult problem for professionals to identify, and it is difficult to reach young people where violence is suspected. Both young people and professionals generally believe that more conversations about relationships and awareness about violence in young people’s relationships is needed. To counteract violence in young people’s partner relationships, professionals need to be able to better equip young people with knowledge, and improve their own ability to detect, meet, and follow-up with young people who are exposed to violence in partner relationships.

    The last three decades have been characterized with tremendous changes and reformations in the Swedish school policy as a result from the global trend of reorganizing the public sector. These reformations consisted of shifting the responsibility of managing the organization and financial distribution from the government to the local municipalities. However, with that fact, the Swedish educational sector has been experiencing a teacher shortage especially in the public compulsory schools at the local level. Which leads to the purpose of this study how local authorities are promoting teachers and their role.

    The aim of this thesis is to study and analyze how the local political governance is designed (through local policies/regulations, financial management and auditing) is affecting the role and autonomy of teachers in the public compulsory schools in relation to the new public management and professionalism as management models. This is a qualitative descriptive case study where the municipality of Trollhättan and its local regulatory tools will be analyzed, and where potential conflicts that may arise between the two management models will be theoretically explained.

    Finally, as the analysis shows, there are features of the disagreement between the new public management and professionalism (control and autonomy) in the design of the local political governance of the school policy and its effect on the role of teachers. It is also remarkable that the way of governance of the school policy by local authorities plays an important role in promoting the role of teachers.

    Bakgrund: Kulturell kompetens har blivit ett relevant begrepp idag då Sverige har blivit ett allt mer mångkulturellt land där invandring sker i större utsträckning än utvandring. Den ökade invandringen innebär att det svenska samhället får möta människor med andra kulturer, normer och värderingar vilket kan skapa missförstånd och utanförskap. I det sociala arbetet blir därför kulturell kompetens en viktig del i stödet till dessa personer och deras integration då de möter dem i olika verksamheter och sammanhang inom socialt arbete. Utgångspunkten blir att undersöka hur behandlingsassistenter uppfattar kulturell kompetens då deras huvudsakliga uppdrag är att stödja och mobilisera människor.

    Syfte: Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur personer med yrkestitel behandlingsassistent har för syn på/tankar om den kulturella kompetensens betydelse och innebörd för att kunna bemöta klienter medolika kulturella bakgrunder.

    Metod: Metoden som används i vår uppsatsstudie var en kvalitativ ansats där semistrukturerade intervjuer gjordes med 5 behandlingsassistenter. Den teoretiska utgångspunkten har varit det sociokulturella perspektivet och har analyserat all insamlad material med hjälp av en tematisk analys.

    Resultat: I resultatet framkommer det att kulturell kompetens uppfattas som nödvändigt och viktigt för att förstå andra kulturer än sin egna och uppfattas som en förutsättning för relationsskapande. Vidare förklaras betydelsen av erfarenhet respektive utbildning och vikten av en kombination av dessa för en ökad förmåga att förstå och reflektera kring andra kulturer samt för att utveckla kulturell kompetens.

    The purpose of this work is to investigate which factors are the most crucial in the Swedish household indebtedness. We use Meng et al. (2011) model to access the impact of unemployment, the number of new construction of housing, population, gross domestic product, real estate price index, consumer price index and the interest rate on the Swedish household indebtedness for the period 1995-2015. In addition, we use cointegration and ECM "Error Correction Model" to determine the long run and the short run impact of these factors on the Swedish household indebtedness. The results in the study reveal the GDP and housing prices as the most crucial factors that household debt has increased in the long term, while the most decisive short-term factors are unemployment and housing prices.

    Like elsewhere in Europe, the tides of nationalist right-wing rhetoric in Sweden have become instrumental in generating a wave of anti-liberal and anti-immigration sentiments in politics and media. In particular, one branch of right-wing alternative media has become a breeding ground for normalizing such rhetoric. Does the anti-immigration stance in such media disguise racist inclinations? In this thesis we examine the discourse of three right-wing alternative media sites in Sweden to explore the possible employment of different types of racism in their articles. By taking the constructivist viewpoint and adopting the post-colonial conceptions of the 'Self' and the 'Other', racist discourse was analyzed and characterized as either biological or cultural. From these two theories, we derived concepts concerning descriptions of contemporary and ideal Swedish society that will be used as further indicators of racist discourses. In this single case study, 94 articles from Fria Tider, Nya Tider, and Samhällsnytt were analyzed on the topics of immigration, integration and crime through a qualitative content analysis. The results show that most of the articles contain cultural racist discourse.

    This thesis was conducted to assess how the privatization of Iran Air process managed in last efforts and how should it be in right way. It increases the knowledge about privatization in Iran and the need for it. Iran air as our case study is a flag-carrier airline company that is protected by government regulations and subsidies. We try to find the reasons for failure of privatization in Iran Air and their attempt on privatization.

    The method used to collect data was a qualitative methodology, consisting of semi-structured interviews with relevant managers, and knowledgeable professors and the official sites and press. In conclusion, we find that privatization is an important need for Iran Air Company and the main problems that are against Iran Air can be categorized to political, financial, and social. The effects of political connections are most pronounced in countries with high levels of corruption. Iran’s level of corruption and law enforcement environment are lower than those are in developed countries. The root of financial problems of government and the company is the deficiency of liquidity to compensate the debts, but the share did not sell. The social problem arises from the uncertainty of the future of employees of going private company. Decreasing the level of corruption and increasing law enforcement in country are general solution for political problem. Preparing transparent financial statements and fair evaluation of share base price are our suggestion to Iran Air. The staff must be sure of their future. Social Security Organization and employment laws of country or any other response organization must protect them

    Corporate social responsibility has recently become increasingly important, especially in the retailing sector. It has also become more important to the society which affects how organisations choose to work with this. Therefore, media reporting on corporate social responsibility has also increased. How can this affect organisations and their CSR-reporting? Corporate social responsibility has become a well-known concept that corporations have adapted, a consequence of this is that the concept of CSI has emerged. This means that corporations are working in an irresponsible manner to achieve legitimacy. Organisations are dependent on their stakeholders, which in turn may be affected by the media. Thus, it is in the interest of businesses to convey a positive image to the society, which can be done by producing sustainability reports. The purpose of this essay was to contribute with knowledge about how a public organisation with many stakeholders workswith CSR and how they are affected by the media's reporting regarding this. We have conducted a qualitative study where we analysed 15 sustainability reports produced by H&M between 2002-2016. We have done this by conducting a content analysis where we developed a coding scheme. We searched for key concepts and examined how many times these occurred in the sustainability reports. We also analysed the media reporting on H&M's corporate social responsibility. Our theoretical framework consists of research that addressed the concepts CSR, CSI, stakeholders, legitimacy, sustainability reportingand media. We also present an analysis model that served as a starting point, with this weput our empirical data in relation to the theoretical framework and afterwards we conductedan analysis based on this. Our empirical study consists of our coding scheme and material from media and H&M's website. This, together with the theoretical framework, forms the basis of our discussion and conclusions. Our main conclusion was that the corporations' sustainability reporting is primarily influenced by the demands of stakeholders. We have not been able to identify a greater impact from the media regarding the organisations sustainability reports, which reinforces this statement.

    It is a common problem among nursing assistants to work under difficult conditions in the nursing homes. They are exposed to stress which leads to an unhealthy workplace. According to several researches there is a high lack of patient safety in health care and this is a problem that is also found in nursing homes (Handler et al., 2006; SKL, 2011; Hughes & Lapane, 2006). The study's main purpose was to critically review the work environment deficiencies in nursing homes and how those affect patient safety. The questions used for the purpose of the study were: 1.Which are the failure causes of the work environment in nursing homes? 2. How do the workplace deficiencies in the nursing homes affect the patient safety? Six nursing assistants were interviewed in two different nursing homes. The study was conducted using a semi-structured interview guide, where the interview questions were divided into two main themes: work environment and patient safety. The material was collected from the interviews and processed by using thematic analysis. Four themes appeared: staff shortages, stress, lack of communication and written procedures. The results showed that staff shortages were the starting point for the other following factors, such as stress and lack of communication. Nursing assistants did not have the work procedure guidelines or safe work instructions. The conclusion was that the organization has a vital role in how the work environment and patient safety will develop in the future. To strengthen and create an effective health and social care the leadership is likely the key in improvement of structure and communication in the work environment of nursing assistants.

    Democracy is built on consensus among the population through voting. Today we use paper ballot systems which require a centralized control with a reliable group to carry out the voting process, record and count the vote ballots. In recent years studies shown that the traditional system introduces a lot of possibilities of manipulation and corruption of votes. This thesis introduces an alternative approach to conduct voting. The approach is a e-voting system which uses the blockchain-technique. Blockchain provides several features that can protect against corruption and tampering with votes, and it brings a level of transparency that cannot be match by the traditional paper ballot system.

    This study combines quantitative results from a questionary on voters' attitudes towards e-voting together with relevant research on blockchain-solutions and Swedish laws & procedures. The data which was collected was then transferred to Microsoft Excel where we created diagrams and tables and measured the frequency of the various questions.

    The study reports voters' attitudes towards blockchain-based e-voting systems were positive. It turned out that most of the voters were not against change and those who did not know about blockchain were willing to learn to ensure a secure and reliable a democracy as possible. From the questionnaire survey, the voters replied that the properties that were important for an e-voting were data integrity and anonymity. From the survey data and proposals from previous studies, a proposal for a blockchain-enabled e-voting system was created. By using multiple blockchains, smart-contracts and with the help of an architecture in which voter-data is fragmented, the proposed system could increase the security around anonymity and data integrity in connection to voter data.

    There is strong evidence of a positive association between corporal punishment and negative child outcomes, but previous studies have suggested that the manner in which parents implement corporal punishment moderates the effects of its use. This study investigated whether severity and justness in the use of corporal punishment moderate the associations between frequency of corporal punishment and child externalizing and internalizing behaviors. This question was examined using a multicultural sample from eight countries and two waves of data collected one year apart. Interviews were conducted with 998 children aged 7–10 years, and their mothers and fathers, from China, Colombia, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Philippines, Thailand, and the United States. Mothers and fathers responded to questions on the frequency, severity, and justness of their use of corporal punishment; they also reported on the externalizing and internalizing behavior of their child. Children reported on their aggression. Multigroup path models revealed that across cultural groups, and as reported by mothers and fathers, there is a positive relation between the frequency of corporal punishment and externalizing child behaviors. Mother-reported severity and father-reported justness were associated with child-reported aggression. Neither severity nor justness moderated the relation between frequency of corporal punishment and child problem behavior. The null result suggests that more use of corporal punishment is harmful to children regardless of how it is implemented, but requires further substantiation as the study is unable to definitively conclude that there is no true interaction effect.

    This thesis is a descriptive single case study where the construction of the sex trafficking victims by the UN is analysed. More specifically, the study examines the construction of the actual victim and non-victim through the theoretical assumptions of masculinity and femininity. It asks 1) How does femininity and masculinity contribute to the construction of the actual victim by the UN? and 2) How does femininity and masculinity contribute to the construction of the non-victim by the UN? Making it possible to draw conclusions about the "ideal victim" of sex trafficking. Through the use of qualitative content analysis, we look at how the UN uses feminine and masculine assumptions in the construction of sex trafficking victim. The findings indicate that the UN uses more feminine assumption when describing the actual victim and masculine assumptions when describing the non-victim. Hence, supporting the construction of "ideal victim" being a woman. As the UN is a significant actor on the field of trafficking issue, the assumptions and ideas it spreads through its documents and media campaigns, has a significant affect to other actors in the field, IOs, IGOs, NGOs and governments, thus spreading the socially constructed gender stereotypes of the female victim and male predator.

    The Covid-19 outbreak has resulted in important changes for employees', hence this research investigated how the changed working conditions, as working remotely during the Covid-19 crisis has affected the productivity of employees. The study aimed to generate new knowledge on how this new working style impacts employee’s productivity and whether to implement this in the future. This study contributes to filling the research gap on how Covid-19 has affected employee productivity in an internationally operating organization.

    The theory section aimed to integrate different parts of relevant and important literature about the chosen topic. Information about working remotely, employee productivity, and factors affecting productivity were provided in this section. The theory section aims to explain employee productivity and how this has been affected by working remotely. To answer the research question: How has remote work during Covid-19 affected employee productivity in an international organization? a quantitative research approach was adopted to collect the primary data. Given the nature of the Covid-19 pandemic, many organizations have implemented remote work policies. The linear regression model was conducted to measure the study hypothesis which is based on independent variables, work environment, employee commitment, and organizational support on the dependent variable employee productivity. The result of the regression model revealed that there is no statistically significant relationship between chosen independent and dependent variables. Consequently, it is not possible to assume that employees have been negatively affected during Covid-19.

    Högläsning inom förskolans verksamhet har en lång tradition och är en betydelsefull aktivitet för barns litteracitetsutveckling (Gjems, 2018, s.152). Vi har valt att rikta in oss på högläsning med toddlare och deras tidiga litteracitet. Forskning inom förskolans verksamhet gällande högläsning handlar i regel om vad som främjar språkutveckling, men forskningen beskriver i mindre utsträckning hur det upplevs av förskollärare ute i praktiken. Därför finner vi det intressant att undersöka hur förskollärare uppfattar forskning kring högläsning med toddlare i relation till deras erfarenheter och upplevelser. Syftet med examensarbetet är att undersöka förskollärares erfarenheter och syn på hur de arbetar med högläsning med de yngsta barnen när de utgår från resultat av tidigare forskning. Vi valde att ha en kvalitiv ingång på examensarbetet och genomfördeintervjuer med åtta förskollärare. När det gäller högläsning i förskolan framkommer det att de flesta förskollärarna ser det som en undervisningssituation men att det finns aspekter som kan göra det till en mer eller mindre renodlad undervisning. Förskollärarna ser även högläsning som en socialaktivitet och att det hör samman med undervisningsbegreppet. Det framkom att förskollärarna har flera olika strategier när det gäller högläsning för toddlare. Strategierna innefattar hur de läser, vilken litteratur som används, hur de tar vara på barnens intresse, hur de gör barnen delaktiga i läsningen och förskollärarnas egen roll och betydelse för att barnen ska tycka att högläsning är roligt och intressant. Förskollärarna beskriver även deras syn på högläsningens effekter för barns lärande och menar att högläsning bidrar till utökat ordföråd, sociala färdigheter och gemenskap.

    Bakgrund: Inom matematikundervisning i svenska klassrum menar flera forskare att matematikläromedel dominerar (Granström, 2007; Johansson, 2006; Wester, 2015). De definitioner, regler och lösningar som den utvalda matematikboken presenterar är det elever lär sig om (Johansson, 2006; 2017). Vidare beskriver Fuson (1984) att elever har svårigheter med subtraktion. Dessa svårigheter förklaras bero på att det finns olika sätt att tänka i subtraktionsberäkningar (Frisk, 2009). Forskare påpekar att undervisning ska involvera varierade uttrycksformer, vilket ska bidra till att ge elever möjlighet att kommunicera matematik på olika sätt (Gustafsson m.fl., 2011). Elever ska enligt läroplanen (Skolverket, 2019) utveckla sin kommunikationsförmåga, vilken innefattar att använda och växla mellan olika uttrycksformer. Kilhamn och Liljekvist (2018) poängterar att uttrycksformer behöver samvariera, så att de successivt kan bli en naturlig del av den matematiska kommunikationen.

    Syfte: Syftet med studien är att undersöka matematikböckers potential att utveckla elevers kommunikationsförmåga i subtraktionsuppgifter, med fokus på uttrycksformers förekomst och användning.

    Metod: För att genomföra studien valde vi att undersöka tre läroböcker för årskurs 2, Matte Eldorado, Mera Favorit matematik och Prima matematik. För att besvara studiens syfte använde vi oss av en kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

    Resultat: Resultatet visar att elever ges få möjligheter att uttrycka sig med olika uttrycksformer i subtraktionsuppgifter. Samtliga läroböcker domineras av algebraisk/ aritmetisk uttrycksform och de andra uttrycksformerna erbjuds i liten utsträckning. Endast en av läroböckerna, Matte Eldorado, involverar samtliga fyra uttrycksformer. Fortsättningsvis synliggör resultatet att läroböckerna överlag erbjuder få växlingar, men de som förekommer sker huvudsakligen mellan algebraisk/aritmetisk- och geometrisk/grafisk uttrycksform.

    Bakgrund: Elever ska erbjudas goda möjligheter till utvecklingen av ett rikt och varierat språk enligt läroplanen. Trots det visar forskningen att den pedagogiska verksamheten inte förmår att prioritera barnens språkliga behov. Språkutveckling under måltid visar sig vara mindre beforskat i förskoleklassen än i förskolan. Måltiden beskrivs samtidigt som en unik och betydelsefull stund för barnets språk. Det är därför av intresse att få mer kunskap om förskollärarens erfarenheter av det pedagogiska arbetssättet vid måltiden i förskoleklassen.

    Syfte: Studiens syfte är att beslysa förskollärares erfarenheter av att använda måltiden som ett språkutvecklande lärandetillfälle i förskoleklassen.

    Metod: Studiens design utgår från kvalitativ och induktiv ansats med sex semistrukturerade intervjuer genom tematisk analys. Studiens frågeställningar grundas i ett sociokulturellt perspektiv med teoretisk utgångspunkt i scaffolding och den proximala utvecklingszonen.

    Resultat: I resultatet framkom två teman, språkutvecklande rutiner och strategier för språkutveckling. Av dessa två teman framkom totalt sex subteman. Resultatet visar betydelsen av rutiner och strategier för att använda måltiden som ett språkutvecklande lärandetillfälle i förskoleklassen. De rutiner som var språkutvecklande vid måltiden var att förskolläraren är vägledande vid måltid, att de kan hantera en tidsbirst och att de har förmåga att träna för att lära. De strategier som framkom för språkutvecklingen var att förskolläraren kunde tillhandahålla stimulerande samtalsämnen och vara ett stöd i samtal genom lekfulla arbetssätt.
