All organizations are characterized by an organizational culture and in each individual organization the culture is different. What's the reason for that? Is it the leadership that influences organizational culture or does the process proceed with an inactive leader or without a leader at all? The organizational culture is important for both the organization's results and the employee's well-being and leadership is a factor that is constantly recurring in the discussion about organizational culture. As a good organizational culture brings positive results and more satisfied employees, it should be more focused on developing success factors that create a good organizational culture. To find success factors for a good organizational culture, it is important to study whether or not the organization's leadership is important. The purpose of this study is therefore to investigate how respondents, with different positions within one and the same organization, look at organizational culture and how leadership affects it. The organizational culture can be used as a tool to improve an organization's results in different forms, and it is then interesting to study whether leadership emphasizes that culture. In order to achieve my purpose, I have conducted a qualitative study. The data collection took place through semistructured interviews with six individuals, all active in the same organization in the inspection industry. The sample consisted of three respondents from the management and three employees, in order to gain a broader view of organizational culture and leadership's impact on it. Data was gathered to compare empirically with the research on organizational culture and leadership. Both the theory and empirical chapters lay the basis for my personal interpretations. The study shows that a good organizational culture can help the organization win market shares in a competitive industry. Furthermore, the study shows that leadership is essential for the organizational culture, good leadership, especially good communication, leads to a good organizational culture.
