    Abstract [en]

    In this study, we examine the everyday experiences immigrant youths from two youth activities in the suburb have about racism. To do this, we focused on two main areas, first how everyday racism inherent in young people's lives, and secondly how they deal with their experiences of racism. To be able to examine their experience have we done a qualitative research approach used by semi-structured interviews on seven young immigrants from the suburb. Our meta-theoretical perspective has been social-constructionism, with post-colonialism as the main theoretical basis. According to this we use the concepts ''the Other'' and stereotyping, which are applied to the material. The material has been encoded, thematized, categorized and analyzed on the basis of the above theoretical perspectives.

    Concluding remarks is that the racial story along with colonial values today characterize and affects the life of the young people living in the suburbs in a tangible way. This is mainly expressed through a perceived differentness and inequality between those who are racialized and those which are considered as the norm in society. That was depicted through two different forms, first through an experience of being categorized as '' the other '' and secondly by judged by stereotypes. These forms was actualized by the remains of the racial-doctrine, where the slave, and the animals were clearly visible, and also by a stereotyping by attributes like the beard, shawl, and the place suburb, which the result show that resulted in that young people is being regarded as eg suicide bombers, terrorists, and gangsters. Moreover, the results also show that the way to deal with racism was varied, but we have been able to categorize them in three main strategies: to try stay in safe areas, to stay away from racism in different ways (avoiding, removing, negotiating, adaptation), and to resist through group activities. Finally, we problemized and discusses how the immigrant youth experiences of racism directly or indirectly leads to social exclusion.

    Abstract [en]

    The primary purpose of the thesis is to investigate how social workers working in the social services are preparing for the incorporation of the United Nation Convention on the Rights of the Child (Children's Convention) into Swedish law with a focus on the child's participation. The secondary purpose is to investigate how social workers enable children of different ages to be given a voice in child welfare investigations.

    To fulfil the purpose, six social workers in five municipalities were interviewed. The empirical findings were thereafter analyzed on the basis of Shier's pathways to participation, from a developmental psychological perspective as well as previous research.

    The results of the study show that a majority of the interviewed social workers are not involved in the social services' preparatory work ahead of the incorporation of the Children's Convention into Swedish law. All interviewed social workers are positive about the Children's Convention becoming law, but some raised concerns that it may lead to a heavier administrative burden. Most believed that it is mainly other functions within the municipality that will be affected by the Children's Convention becoming law and that it in practice will not change their work to ensure the child's participation in child welfare investigations.

    The results also show that the lack of time and resources makes it difficult for the social workers to find sufficient amount of time to meet with the child during the childcare investigation, and several argue that all social workers do not always feel comfortable talking to children. Another aspect that is highlighted is the parents lack of knowledge about the Children's Convention and of the Social Services Act, resulting in planned support measures not being implemented.

    Abstract [en]

    The purpose of this study was to examine how young men express their mental ill-health and experience of masculine norms in the meeting with staff at the youth centres. The study also examines how the staff working at the youth centres experience the acceptance on this issues that affect young men's mental health and masculinity norms. The study examine that social constructions of masculinity create barriers for young men to express themselves verbally about mental ill-health, which results in alternate forms of expression. These alternative forms of expression are presented in this study such as self-medication, anxiety feelings, and exuberant actions. The study shows how masculine norms create penalties for how young men generally seek care later and then also generally feel inferior, which indicates the gender difference between young women and young men. The study results in knowledge about the problem for young men to express themselves verbally about feelings linked to masculine norms. The method used in this study is semi-structured interviews with informants in terms of staff among Swedish youth centres and Swedish centre for young men. Social constructivism and role theory have been used as a theoretical frame of reference to explain phenomena in our society that are considered natural and which in effect have different socialization processors for the creation of male norms (Wenneberg, 2000). The study findings draw attention to the complex problem of mental ill-health among young men, its consequences and which gaps of knowledge that needs to be filled.

    Abstract [en]

    The present study has the qualitative research with the output of systems theory aimed to identify the individual abuser path to addiction treatment. Three semi-structured interviews have been conducted and subsequently analyzed.

    Addicts constitute a special category in the Social Services Act. In addition, it is to be found in the section of the law Chapter 3, 1 § (SFS 2001: 453) that the social outreach should make themselves familiar with the living conditions in the municipality. In addition, also provide information on social services in the municipality and through outreach activities and other means to promote conditions for good living conditions.

    Results have demonstrated that it is primarily the abuser's family members who support them to contact applicants as current treatment. The study has also revealed that although the addict in the first place not turned to social services, but turned to other instances.

    Respondents in the study all had individual agendas as applicable achieved abstinence. What, however, seemed significant among the participants has been a quest for better relationships with their family.

    Another of the study's conclusions is that social services should expand its dissemination of information to local residents about drug treatment are available and how the aid is designed.

    Äldreomsorgens nationella värdegrund - ett vägledningsmaterial” gavs ut 2012 av Socialstyrelsen i syfte att implementera en gemensam värdegrund i verksamheterna så att äldreomsorgen ska kunna bidra till att äldre känner välbefinnande och ett värdigt liv. Denna studie redogör för etiska dilemman och målkonflikter som undersköterskor uppgett att de ställts inför i det dagliga arbetet på demensboenden, samt en redogörelse för vilka värdeord som ges mer prioritet än andra. Detta har undersökts genom kvalitativa, semistrukturerade intervjuer med fem undersköterskor. Intervjuerna har bearbetats med hjälp av tematisk analys samt tolkats i förhållande till tidigare forskning, det salutogena synsättet och KASAM, med begreppen begriplighet, hanterbarhet, meningsfullhet och makt. I vår studie fann vi etiska dilemman förknippade både med kollegor, anhöriga och brukare. Även bristande resurser kunde begränsa måluppfyllelsen och kvaliteten på omsorgen. Av de värdeord i värdegrunden som vi har fokuserat på så stod de vanligaste målkonflikterna mellan självbestämmandet och den fysiska tryggheten eller mellan självbestämmandet och den personliga integriteten. Målkonflikterna uppstod främst när brukaren vägrar vård, exempelvis när denne inte vill ha hjälp med ADL1 eller ta sina mediciner. Resultatet visar även på att informanterna värderar självbestämmandet högt och i särskilda fall kan de använda någon form av skyddsåtgärd eller annan tvingande åtgärd för att bevara brukarens hälsa. Dock så är det ingen av informanterna som kan tänka sig att tvinga eller lura i sin brukare mediciner. En värdefull aspekt som framkommer i studien är de förebyggande åtgärder och arbetssätt som undersköterskorna tar till för att “få brukarna med sig” så att brukarna tar rationella beslut, och därmed undviks målkonflikter.

    Studiens syfte är att undersöka hur kuratorer arbetar förebyggande för att bemöta barn som blivit sexuellt utsatta via sociala medier/online. Fokus är på ett förebyggande arbete och metoder för att identifiera och arbeta med barn som är i risk för eller redan har blivit utsatta för övergrepp. Studien har en kvalitativ ansats och empirin samlades in genom att intervjuer genomfördes. Studiens respondenter är mellan 27-45 år och de har varit verksamma som skolkuratorer mellan 2 – 9 år. Samtliga respondenter har en akademisk examen som socionom. Den data som framkom analyserades genom en tematisk analys och jag valde tre teman; metodik och förebyggande arbete, samverkan med vårdnadshavare och externa aktörer samt identifiering av elever som utsatts för sexuella övergrepp. Studiens resultat visade att respondenterna använde sig av olika metoder för att bemöta ett utsatt barn, men att den gemensamma faktorn visade på att det var svårt att arbeta förebyggande kring den utsatthet som finns online. En anledning var att det i många fall saknades rutiner eller handlingsplaner för att kunna arbeta förebyggande med sexuell utsatthet. En annan faktor som respondenterna förmedlade var att det största ansvaret ska vara föräldrarnas/vårdnadshavarnas då kuratorer inte har behandlingsansvar för barnen.

    Multikulturalisme ses af mange som progressiv og venstreorienteret, og kritikken af den betragtes som reaktionær og racistisk. Denne bog udfordrer denne tankegang og viser – fra et venstrefløjsperspektiv – hvordan den moderne mangfoldighedstankegang tværtimod undergraver fornuft, frihed, lighed og individuel selvbestemmelse. Ved at have et særligt fokus på sær-identiteter og indføre grupperettigheder på bekostning af universel politisk frihed, borgerrettigheder, upartiske institutioner og lighed mellem kønnene er den på kollisionskurs med demokratiets grundværdier. Multikulturalisme er derfor i virkeligheden en konservativ og antimoderne ideologi.

    Abstract [en]

    Abstract Men are exposed to violence in close relationships in both same-sex and heterosexual relationships. Men who are exposed to violence stated that they were exposed to psychological violence rather than physical violence. Psychological violence can be about verbal attacks, isolation, jealousy, threats of physical violence, threats of divorce and destruction of personal property. Men who have been subjected to violence by their partner may develop mental illness. Most men find it difficult to say that they are exposed to violence because of society's gender norms which say that the man must be strong, independent and have self-confidence.

    Aim The aim of this study was to describe men’s experiences after being exposed to violence in close relationships.

    Method A literature-based study with systematic searches, in which eight articles were selected.

    Results The results have shown that men who are exposed to violence in close relationships isolated themselves, had suicidal thoughts, low self-esteem, increased fear and mental illness. Men also stated that they did not dare to talk about their situation to others around them. This was mainly because others did not trust them, but it also had to do with society's gender norms.

    Conclusion Men also fall victim to violence in a close relationship and the impact can mean great psychological strain on the man. Isolation, fear, self-esteem, suicidal thoughts and mental illness were identified in the results. The most common consequences after the violence were isolation and fear. When it comes to mental illness, post-traumatic stress disorder was the most common.

    En skola för alla? Alla som går i skolan har rätt till en fungerande skolvardag, där man har rätt att känna sig delaktig och ges förutsättningar för att klara av skoluppgifter – men är det praktiskt genomförbart? Utifrån ett socialpedagogiskt perspektiv avser studien att undersöka lärares föreställningar om arbete med inkludering och delaktighet i syfte att främja tillhörighet och positivt identitetsskapande hos elever med ADHD. Vi har undersökt lärares möjligheter och förutsättningar för att möta upp eleverna med ADHD i grundskolan. Studien genomfördes med en kvalitativ ansats i form av semistrukturerade intervjuer. Vi träffade våra fem respondenter för intervju och spelade in varje samtal meden diktafon. Det empiriska materialet analyserades med tematisk analys. Resultatet visade att det i vissa fall finns mycket problematik i skolvardagen men att lärarna vinner mycket på att skapa goda relationer och detta ser vi utifrån det relationella perspektivet. Det framkom även att stigmatisering förekommer men att det är något som skolan jobbar med.Många lärare får kunskap om ADHD genom erfarenhet vilket kan leda till att förutfattademeningar om målgruppen suddas ut. Socialpedagogiken bygger på att göra människormedvetna om sina möjligheter för att kunna påverka sin livssituation. Lärarna har här ett stort uppdrag för att kunna skapa dessa förutsättningar i mötet med sina elever. Många lärare saknar dock en mall för att tillgodose elevernas behov och förutsättningar.

    Delaktighet och inkludering är hela tiden pågående processer. För att göra elevers rösterhörda försöker lärarna hitta olika forum för att möjliggöra detta. I vår analysdel använde vi oss bl.a. av Shiers delaktighetsstege för att se om lärarnas metoder öppnar upp för att göra eleverna delaktiga. Inkluderingen ska inte bara vara en placering, alla ska bli sedda och få en känsla av gemenskap. Stora klasser, ökade kunskapskrav, ökade antal diagnoser, resursbrist mm gör också att lärarna också ifrågasätter sig själva om de kan leva upp till en skola för alla?

    The purpose of our study was to describe, compare and analyze how representatives from different professions in high school look upon their experiences of the schools work with helping students with mental health issues as well as preventing mental illness among the students. In our study we chose to use a qualitative approach by conducting interviews since we wanted to receive views from the representatives from different professions regarding the high schools work with mental illness. We interviewed six people who represented different professions in school and they worked at two different high schools. In the research we used it appears that collaboration and discretion were significant components regarding the schools work with mental illness. In our study we find that the Student Health Care have a central role in the work with mental illness among the students, but other professional groups seem to have an important role as well. The different professional groups collaborates in the work with mental illness and how collaboration function appears to affect the discretion of the professionals in their work.

    Our study aims to problematize and examine how social workers perceive social service treatment of clients who identify them self as LGBTQ. We have chosen to analyze the social workers´ answers based on a norm-critical and social constructivist perspective. The study is based on five interviews with employees working in social services with different target groups. We have examined how they relate to LGBTQ issues arising at work. We also explored whether social workers acquired a LGBTQ perspective and norm-critical approach through their initial training and any further training through their employment. The social workers emphasize that it is very important to treat the clients without preconceptions. In summary the results shows that the five social workers do have a willingness to work with LGBTQ issues and norm critical theories. But these issues get lower priority due to time constraints. They also expressed a desire for more knowledge and training in LGBTQ issues as this is something that is missing. However the social services require tools, knowledge, time and resources to be able to meet their clients' needs

    Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur personal på särskilt boende arbetade med gemenskap. Studien genomfördes med hjälp av kvalitativ ansats och semistrukturerade intervjuer med personal såväl som brukare. 6 personer intervjuades, 3 personal och 3 äldre. Studien analyserades genom en tematisk analys. Begreppen gemenskap, ensamhet, ålderism och teorin gerotranscendence användes för att förstå, tolka och analysera resultatet av materialet. Resultaten i studien visade på att äldre på boendet främst sökte sig till gemenskapen med anhöriga vid inflytt till det särskilda boendet, men att de också skapade en ny form av gemenskap med personalen. Däremot visade resultaten att äldre hade svårare att skapa gemenskap sinsemellan på grund av svårigheter i kommunikationen. Det framkom dessutom att det fanns en skillnad mellan personalens och de äldres uppfattning av vad gemenskap innebar. Avslutningsvis valde vi att diskutera resultaten samt redovisa tankegångarna som utvecklades under studiens gång. Vidare redovisades också hur förförståelsen kring ämnet påverkades. Under diskussionen redogjordes för vad som hade varit intressant inom framtida forskning

    Det första mötet med socialtjänsten kan vara avgörande för kvinnor som är utsatta för våld i nära relation. Studien syftar till att undersöka hur professionella inom socialtjänsten bemöter våldsutsatta kvinnor. Studien genomfördes med kvalitativ ansats genom sex semistrukturerade intervjuer. Totalt deltog åtta yrkesutövare inom socialt arbete som möter våldsutsatta kvinnor i det praktiska arbetet. Alla hade högskola eller universitetsutbildning i form av socionom, socialpedagog, beteendevetare och behandlingspedagog. Det empiriska materialet analyserades med en tematisk analys. Det teoretiska ramverket, med utgångspunkt i Scheffs socioemotionella värld används i analysen för att bidra till en förståelse av interaktion och samspel mellan människor. Samt hur professionella bemöter sina klienter både på ett intellektuellt och känslomässigt plan.

    Skam och professionell empati är centrala begrepp i analysen. Enligt tidigare forskning saknas kunskap och kompetens bland professionella i arbetet med våld i nära relation. Studiens resultat visar på att bemötandet är helt avgörande i arbetet med våldsutsatta kvinnor. Hur professionella använder sin kunskap och kompetens i det praktiska arbetet skiljer sig åt mellan olika enheter. Professionellas rädsla, otrygghet och frustration är emotioner som inverkar på bemötandet.

    Skam är en framträdande emotion och ett hinder för våldsutsatta kvinnor att berätta om sin utsatthet. Skammen finns i olika skepnader, så som skam kopplat till identitet och yrkesroll samt skam kopplat till det sexuella våldet. Både socionomer och socialpedagoger möter våldsutsatta kvinnor i det dagliga arbetet. Ett öppet och inlyssnande förhållningsätt är avgörande för bemötandet. Samt att inte döma, vägleda och motivera våldsutsatta kvinnor till förändring och ett självständigt liv utan våld.

    Abstract [en]

    This study aims to investigate how individuals with a combined substance abuse and housing problems describe their views on their addiction, their homes and the help they receive through the care of the community social service agencies. In light of the insufficient scien-tific evidence in the fields of substance abuse and housing support, the purpose of this paper is to gain increased knowledge in the both fields. An acquisition of increased knowledge is needed and important from a societal perspective as well as from an individual perspective.

    The fact that the economic resources in society are put on actions that is utilized to increase the ability of the individual to recover from substance abuse and housing problems is of benefit to society, but above all it benefits the individual. The individual becomes an asset to society instead of a continued drain on community resources. Increased knowledge in the field can contribute to learning for those in the field, but also for others interested.

    This concept is in line with Work Integrated Learning (= AIL). The study is based on eight interviews and the methodology and analysis are inspired by the phenomenological perspec-tive. The results shows that all interviewed informants find dependencies in the home as sup-port in the form of two aspects, partly as a relative support and partly as a daily support. The results further shows that the abuse, for many, resulted in isolation from family and non-addicted friends. Additionally, the home is seen as a basis for security and integrity.

    Inledning: Det finns relativt lite forskat kring ämnet om hur ridsport påverkar människor och speciellt hur den påverkar människor som är fysiskt och psykiskt friska. Utifrån det väcktes ett intresse i att undersöka hur en grupp unga kvinnor upplever sig påverkas av ridsporten utifrån ett salutogent perspektiv.  Syfte:  Syftet med föreliggande studie är att utifrån unga kvinnors perspektiv studera och analysera hur de påverkas och upplever sig utvecklas av att hålla på med ridsport samt se till vilken betydelse hästen har för dem. Vidare kommer deras upplevelser förstås utifrån begreppet känsla av sammanhang (KASAM).   Metod:  I föreliggande studie valdes kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer utifrån att de ansågs kunna svara på syftet och forskningsfrågorna på bästa sätt. Intervjuerna spelades in och materialet har transkriberats för att senare kodas, tematiserats och summerats. Ett bekvämlighetsurval samt målinriktat urval användes och det genomfördes fyra stycken intressanta intervjuer med personer som har erfarenhet av att vara eller är aktiva inom ridsporten. Resultat:   Resultatet visar att ridsporten bidrar till en mängd positiva faktorer. Bland annat blir personerna lyckliga av att vara i stallet, de utvecklar personliga färdigheter i form av ansvarsförmågor, ledarskapsförmågor och ökat självförtroende. Det finns en stor gemenskap och hästen har en betydelsefull roll. Sett utifrån känsla av sammanhang bidrar ridsporten till känsla av meningsfullhet, hanterbarhet och begriplighet. Deras upplevelser av ridsporten kan förklaras utifrån KASAM-begreppet och de bidrar följaktligen till en ökad hälsa.

    Abstract [en]

    Violence in close relationships is a major problem worldwide, including in Sweden, and is already present in young people’s partner relationships. This cross-sectional study examines young people’s knowledge and view of violence in young people’s partner relationships, as well as professional views and treatment of young people who have in some way experience violence in their partner relationships. The subject was investigated with both quantitative and qualitative analysis. The quantitative method consisted of a questionnaire study with 101 high school student respondents aged 16-20 years. The qualitative material was collected through semi structured interviews with two counsellors working at a youth clinic and an interview with a social worker. The quantitative data was entered and processed in the computer program SPSS 27 for statistical analysis. In the analysis of the material, t-tests were used to compare girls’ and boys’ estimates of acts of violence. The results show significant differences in views on violence based on gender, with girls rating acts of violence higher than boys. Analysis of themes emerging from the qualitative research reveal violence in young people’s close relationships is a difficult problem for professionals to identify, and it is difficult to reach young people where violence is suspected. Both young people and professionals generally believe that more conversations about relationships and awareness about violence in young people’s relationships is needed. To counteract violence in young people’s partner relationships, professionals need to be able to better equip young people with knowledge, and improve their own ability to detect, meet, and follow-up with young people who are exposed to violence in partner relationships.

    Bakgrund: Kulturell kompetens har blivit ett relevant begrepp idag då Sverige har blivit ett allt mer mångkulturellt land där invandring sker i större utsträckning än utvandring. Den ökade invandringen innebär att det svenska samhället får möta människor med andra kulturer, normer och värderingar vilket kan skapa missförstånd och utanförskap. I det sociala arbetet blir därför kulturell kompetens en viktig del i stödet till dessa personer och deras integration då de möter dem i olika verksamheter och sammanhang inom socialt arbete. Utgångspunkten blir att undersöka hur behandlingsassistenter uppfattar kulturell kompetens då deras huvudsakliga uppdrag är att stödja och mobilisera människor.

    Syfte: Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur personer med yrkestitel behandlingsassistent har för syn på/tankar om den kulturella kompetensens betydelse och innebörd för att kunna bemöta klienter medolika kulturella bakgrunder.

    Metod: Metoden som används i vår uppsatsstudie var en kvalitativ ansats där semistrukturerade intervjuer gjordes med 5 behandlingsassistenter. Den teoretiska utgångspunkten har varit det sociokulturella perspektivet och har analyserat all insamlad material med hjälp av en tematisk analys.

    Resultat: I resultatet framkommer det att kulturell kompetens uppfattas som nödvändigt och viktigt för att förstå andra kulturer än sin egna och uppfattas som en förutsättning för relationsskapande. Vidare förklaras betydelsen av erfarenhet respektive utbildning och vikten av en kombination av dessa för en ökad förmåga att förstå och reflektera kring andra kulturer samt för att utveckla kulturell kompetens.

    It is a common problem among nursing assistants to work under difficult conditions in the nursing homes. They are exposed to stress which leads to an unhealthy workplace. According to several researches there is a high lack of patient safety in health care and this is a problem that is also found in nursing homes (Handler et al., 2006; SKL, 2011; Hughes & Lapane, 2006). The study's main purpose was to critically review the work environment deficiencies in nursing homes and how those affect patient safety. The questions used for the purpose of the study were: 1.Which are the failure causes of the work environment in nursing homes? 2. How do the workplace deficiencies in the nursing homes affect the patient safety? Six nursing assistants were interviewed in two different nursing homes. The study was conducted using a semi-structured interview guide, where the interview questions were divided into two main themes: work environment and patient safety. The material was collected from the interviews and processed by using thematic analysis. Four themes appeared: staff shortages, stress, lack of communication and written procedures. The results showed that staff shortages were the starting point for the other following factors, such as stress and lack of communication. Nursing assistants did not have the work procedure guidelines or safe work instructions. The conclusion was that the organization has a vital role in how the work environment and patient safety will develop in the future. To strengthen and create an effective health and social care the leadership is likely the key in improvement of structure and communication in the work environment of nursing assistants.

    There is strong evidence of a positive association between corporal punishment and negative child outcomes, but previous studies have suggested that the manner in which parents implement corporal punishment moderates the effects of its use. This study investigated whether severity and justness in the use of corporal punishment moderate the associations between frequency of corporal punishment and child externalizing and internalizing behaviors. This question was examined using a multicultural sample from eight countries and two waves of data collected one year apart. Interviews were conducted with 998 children aged 7–10 years, and their mothers and fathers, from China, Colombia, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Philippines, Thailand, and the United States. Mothers and fathers responded to questions on the frequency, severity, and justness of their use of corporal punishment; they also reported on the externalizing and internalizing behavior of their child. Children reported on their aggression. Multigroup path models revealed that across cultural groups, and as reported by mothers and fathers, there is a positive relation between the frequency of corporal punishment and externalizing child behaviors. Mother-reported severity and father-reported justness were associated with child-reported aggression. Neither severity nor justness moderated the relation between frequency of corporal punishment and child problem behavior. The null result suggests that more use of corporal punishment is harmful to children regardless of how it is implemented, but requires further substantiation as the study is unable to definitively conclude that there is no true interaction effect.

    Abstract [en]

    In recent times there has been a lot of debate on Syrian refugees who have immigrated to Sweden. The armed conflict in Syria is now in its fourth year. At least 120 000 people have died. The conflict has forced 9 million Syrians to flee and out of them 6.5 million are IDPs.

    The purpose of this study was to investigate the integration process of the Syrian immigrants, who have lived in Sweden for at least two years. We wanted to find out how they had experienced their first time in Sweden, how they perceive the support from the Swedish society and the factors that have had an impact on their wellbeing.

    In this essay we have used a qualitative method. Data was collected through interviews which dealt with the integration process based on Syrian immigrants´ perspective. To our interviews, we used an interview guide and we picked out three women and two men between the age 20 to 45 years.

    The theoretical basis was based on Bourdieu's habitus, Olkiewiczs (2008) assimilatory and nostalgic groups and Franzens (1997) constructive and destructive patterns.

    Our results showed that the first time in Sweden was considered as a very difficult period for our informants. This was partly because of the fear of not being offered a Swedish residence permit, in turn this caused feelings of uncertainty in the refugee camps. They told us that the economy has not been a major problem, however, they were unhappy with that lack of consideration about their mental illness after the terrible experiences in their past. Some important aspects of feeling part of the community participant in the community were language skills, knowledge of Swedish culture and access to employment.

    Through our results, we can draw the conclusions that social and political measures must be taken with regard to the integration process. The first thing you should do is to improve immigrants´ access to psychological treatment, since mental illness has had the biggest impact on their integration. At the same time we concluded that our informants need support from the community, in order to facilitate the conditions that they believe will improve their well-being. Successful integration should be built on the interaction between society and the immigrant, in order to be able to adapt to the society, and this is a fundamental condition for promoting the immigrants´ roles in society.

    Studien har i avsikt att undersöka hur personalen på HVB-hem arbetar för ensamkommande ungdomar och hur personalen förbereder dem för ett självständigt liv, med hjälp av empowerment och delaktighet. För att få en djupare förståelse utifrån personalens perspektiv valde vi att använda oss av kvalitativ metod, där vi gjorde fem semistrukturerade intervjuer av anställda på tre olika HVB-hem. För att analysera empirin utgick vi från Lindgren (2015) analysmetod "the constant comparative method". Resultatet som gestaltas visar på att personal lägger stor vikt vid relationer till ungdomarna, samt att motivationsarbete och delaktighet finns i det mesta som görs. Genom att använda empowerment ökades ungdomarnas självständighet genom motivation och stöd. Dessutom med hjälp av delaktighet som verktyg kunde man få ungdomarna bli aktiva och på så vis bli mer självständiga i vardagliga arbetssysslor. Vi drog slutsats om att genom delaktighet fick man empowerment och vice versa. I resultatet kunde vi även se att personalen fungerade som en pålitlig och trygg vuxen i ungdomarnas närhet. Vi fann dessutom ett samband mellan självkänsla och självständighet, kunde ungdomen öka sin självkänsla ökades även deras självständighet.

    The purpose of the study was to illustrate and analyze the occurrence and meaning of superficial conversation for senior citizens. The purpose was also to investigate what meaning superficial conversations can have regarding everyday life for the elderly and if it can contribute in creating social communities. Based on the objective of the study the following questions were formed: How can superficial conversations be described and what can be conveyed in these conversations? Of what importance is the place in creating superficial conversation? How can superficial conversation in conjunction with the place contribute to establishing social communities for the elderly? The study has a qualitative approach and the scientifically theoretical standpoint is critical realism. The empirical material has been gathered from a municipally driven diner. Seven participating observations has been conducted, where around four informal interviews have been conducted for every observation session. Furthermore four formal interviews were conducted; these have been qualitative interviews; a combination of semistructured and unstructured interviewing. Field notes were taken in conjunction to the observations and all formal interviews have been transcribed. The respondents are men in the ages 40-90 years old, living alone in private properties. The results of the study demonstrates that there are developed social relations at the restaurant which can be categorized as thin ties. The results also display how these social relations are expressed and the meaning of these thin ties in relation to the place. The results have been analyzed in relation to the studies theoretical framework and previous research. The conclusion is that the superficial conversation has a deeper meaning as a means for the elderly to create social communities. It also shows that the place is important, both in itself but also in conjunction with superficial conversation to help create these communities. The place is a contributing factor in the development of thin ties and superficial conversation nourishes this development and keeps these social relations alive. An increased understanding regarding the importance of superficial conversation would facilitate the social pedagogical work for finding new ways of preventing social exclusion and in the development of social meeting places for elderly people.

    Tillit och förtroende är ett aktuellt ämne i dagens samhällsdebatt. Tillit och förtroende benämns som viktiga komponenter för att samhället ska fortsätta utvecklas. Tillitsnivån ute i Europa anses vara låg medan vi i Norden har hög tillit till den offentliga sektorn. Sverige har höga tillitssiffror men tillitsnivån sjunker bland yngre. Ungdomar spenderar mycket tid i skolan och dess tillit och förtroende till skolpersonal visas vara låg.

    Syftet med studien är att beskriva hur tilliten och förtroendet mellan gymnasieelever och skolans personal upplevs ur elevernas perspektiv.

    Studien har använt en kvalitativ ansats där fokusgruppsintervjuer genomförts med fyra klasser på en gymnasieskola i södra Sverige. Det var tre yrkesförberedande klasser samt en studieförberedande klass. Vidare har en analys genomförts på resultatet med forskning och intersektionell teori. Med stöd av den intersektionella teorin diskuteras skärningspunkterna mellan de olika kategorier som framgick som betydelsefulla för elevernas upplevelser av tillit och förtroende för skolans personal.

    Resultatet visade att tillit och förtroende av eleverna beskrivs som något ömsesidigt, att båda parter har ett gemensamt mål, samt att eleverna upplever att tilliten är högre om skolpersonal är personlig. Analysen visade att kategorier som ålder, kön och klass har en avgörande betydelse för huruvida eleven upplever tillit och förtroende i skolan.

    Studien har syftat till att undersöka hur yrkesutövare inom socialtjänsten i olika kommuner i Sverige arbetar med långsiktiga boendelösningar för våldsutsatta personer. Studien är baserad på kvalitativa intervjuer som har genomförts med sju yrkesutövare inom Socialtjänsten i sex olika kommuner. Organiseringen och arbetet med långsiktiga boendelösningar för våldsutsatta varierade för respondenterna i respektive kommun. Som datainsamlingsmetod användes en semistrukturerad intervjuguide. För att analysera insamlade data användes Lipskys teori med begreppen gatubyråkrater och handlingsutrymme samt organisationsteori i form avett institutionellt och nyinstitutionellt perspektiv. Studien visar att tillgången till bostäder varierar mellan olika kommuner. I de kommuner där det är bostadsbrist blir det en utmaning att tillhandahålla långsiktiga boendelösningar för våldsutsatta och det är ofta en tidskrävande process. Yrkesutövarnas handlingsutrymme är begränsat då det är hyresvärdarna som tar det slutgiltiga beslutet angående att hyra ut boende.

    Socialarbetarna kan behöva argumentera för klientens situation för att få med hyresvärden på banan, därav är det är viktigt med samverkan med hyresvärdar och bostadsbolag. Något som flera yrkesutövare beskrev som en utmaning i arbetet varom en våldsutsatt behövde byta kommun p.ga. hotbilden. I många kommuner finns ingen uttalad lösning för hur dessa situationer ska hanteras. Hur samverkan fungerar inom och mellan kommuner samt bostadsbolag kan här ha en inverkan på utfallet för den enskilda individen.

    Abstract [en]

    The aim of the study was to examine elderly´s, residents of nursing homes, feeling and experience of their own Quality of Life by examining their sense of well-being, satisfaction and happiness. The questions for this study was "What promotes and prevents the feeling and the experience of Quality of Life in elderly", "In what context and with whom perceive elderly high Quality of Life" and "How has the feeling and perception of Quality of Life changed after they moved to a nursing home". The choice of terms, well-being, satisfaction and happiness, has been made from Bengt Brüldes mixed Quality of Life theory. The Study is thus based on Brüldes theory ant thoughts about life and how Quality of Life can be examined.

    The study has a qualitative approach, in which semi-structured interviews were conducted with six elderly living in nursing homes in a small community. The analysis was done according to DePoy and Gitlins four thought and action processes of qualitative analysis. An inductive approach was used where categories, taxonomies and themes were picked up. The categories that emerged were primarily health, meaningful relationships and social interaction with others. Other categories that emerged were help/support, security/unsecurity, economy and humility.

    The study shows similar results to previous research projects nationally and internationally. The similarities that emerged is that good health is a contributing factor to an increased feeling and perception of Quality of Life, but also the importance of close and good relationships with family and friends. Furthermore, informants raised the importance of good living conditions so as economy. Nevertheless informants lift the importance of extracurricular activities but also past experience of life. What emerged as the most interesting in the analysis is our interpretation of the elderly as humble, which can affect their sense and experience of their own Quality of Life if their humbleness affect their ability to ask for help and support.

    Due to the findings of the study we are of the meaning that its of importance in social work with elderly to maintain and promote the feeling and perception of Quality of Life among elderly living in nursing homes. This is based on the analysis where our interpretation suggests that elderly's humility may affect their feeling and experience of individual Quality of Life negatively.

    This study examinates how child interviews are implemented in financial assistance in Norrköping municipality. In 2015, the management within Financial Assistance in the Municipality of Norrköping formed a group of social workers secretaries called the "Children's Group" to investigate the possibility of conducting child interviews within Financial Assistance. The child group is an assignment from the management in Financial Assistance, where it includes social workers who can contribute to focusing on the children within Financial assistance, in order to strengthen the child's perspective, exist as a consultant's support in matters concerning children for other social secretaries and implement child interviews. During an annual work with child interviews, the children's group has written a preliminary study. The child group has written a preliminary study during one year's work about the possibility to perform child interviews in financial assistance. The preliminary study shows that in financial assistance there is potential and that there are benefits in performing child interviews. The Children's Group in Financial Assistance in the Municipality of Norrköping today consists of five social workers who are working on implementing child interviews. The study is of a qualitative approach and has been used semi-structured interviews with five informants who work within Financial Assistance and who work with the Children's Mission. The study uses organizational theory and system theory to analyze how the child group relates to the child mission and the goals of the activity. Previous research is also used to understand how the children whose parents are involved in financial assistance affects by their parents' finances situation. The purpose of the study is to investigate how Norrköping municipality is working to implement child interviews within financial assistance and how the employees who are part of the child group experience the implementation process. The purpose is also to highlight opportunities and difficulties with the implementation. The study uses theories to offer an understanding of how the child group relates to the mission and the goals of financial assistance. Previous research is also used to highlight children whose parents are involved in financial assistance in order to gain an understanding of how these children are affected by their parents' finances. The study's results showed that the purpose of child interviews within financial assistance is to offer the children the opportunity to be noticed and make their voice heard. The purpose is also to follow the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Social Services Act, who contain regulations about the child's best interests. Using child interviews in financial assistance can help social workers to make more overall assessments where different perspectives are taken into account in their work. The study shows that the child group that works with the implementation of child interviews needs more time and resources in the form of the education in order for the implementation to continue and thus for the child group's commitment to remain. It appears that the implementation of child interviews has begun to apply as of May 1, 2019, but that the work has not been fully possible due to the absence of a compliance form 4 that was planned to be given out to the child’s legal guardians to ask whether their child can be interviewed or not. The results of the study show that the work with the implementation of child interviews can be influenced by decisions that must be made by the management, staff turnover, new employees that are part of the group who need to get introduced and practice child interviews, cancellations, loss and lack of resources in form of time and economy. These are some of the factors that need to be considered when implementing child interviews.

    In the European society of today temporary residence permits (TRP) are largely directed at labor market issues, not protection issues. This responsibility-based model implies that the importance of getting a job is the norm regarding what life choices an immigrant "should” do to renew their TRP:s.

    In the light of the UN's sustainability goals of reduced inequality, discourses about integration needs to be discussed and problematized to clarify what their implications are for individuals as for society. The aim of the following study is to describe and analyse the field of tension created between the regulatory requirements and the individual's considered life choices as they are articulated by persons living with TRP:s.

    The study is based on interviews about life choices with six persons with TRP. The material is analysed with discourse analysis based on the concepts of temporality, liminality and agency and the analyse resulted in three discourses about, legal security (1), ontological security (2) and interrelational freedom (3). The three discourses can be seen as the field within which the individual make a specific choice.

    The results show that life with TRP affects choices about family, education and work, but also the approach towards life in general. In all their choices, the informants must prioritize between increasing the chances of obtaining a renewed residence permit or moving towards long time goals. Choices are made with the cost of giving up educational goals or ontological safety, but at times the informants put their own agency in the front seat even though they risk to be sent back to the danger they once fled. The oppressive, colonizing, feature of the responsibility-based discourse risks putting people in a liminal situation that backfires on society in terms of sustainability, and equality.

    The purpose of the essay is to elucidate and analyse how foreign-born women describe their experiences of starting a new life in Sweden. It is also about how these women has experienced the life journey during their years in a new country. I will analyse further how important new qualifications were, how big was the need of being integrated by the society was and finally, in which way the Swedish language had been a key to integration.

    The study is based on qualitative methods and I have conducted deep interviews with five participants who have experienced being a newcomer in his/her adult life. The analysis of the study was done with IPA (Interpretative phenomenological analysis). IPA is a combination of phenomenology and hermeneutics. Based on this theme, I interview five foreign born women between the ages of 44-65. The method is based on semi-structured interviews regarding their experiences in Sweden.

    The theoretical starting point is the social class theory. With help of this theory, I analyse the importance of developing the class in a certain group of individuals who have used college education and languages for tools.

    In this essay it has emerged that the foreign-born women were facing a difficult challenge when they came to Sweden and met the language barrier, which is a considerable obstacle to start to work and be integrated in the community. During the first years, the Swedish language was the first goal to achieve as it opened more opportunities to get a job, help their children in school and make new friends. Education requires a long time for the immigrant women who want to learn a new profession and to adapt to a new country.

    Syftet med vår studie är att ur personalens perspektiv beskriva och analysera föräldrars/vårdnadshavares delaktighet i deras barns placering på Hem för vård och boende. Studien gjordes genom kvalitativ metod i form av fyra semistrukturerade intervjuer med fyra personer som jobbar inom två olika HVB hem i Västra Götalandsregionen. Alla fyra hade någon typ av utbildning inom samhällsvetenskaplig inriktning. Som analysmetod användes tematisering. De teoretiska utgångspunkterna bestod av begreppen empowerment, företrädarskap, delaktighet och makt. Fyra huvudteman identifierades: vikten av vårdnadshavarnas delaktighet, det första mötet, omständigheter som kan begränsa delaktigheten och när konflikter står i vägen för delaktighet för att skapa förståelse kring vårdnadhavaranas delaktighet. Resultatet påvisar att personalens arbetssätt och attityder påverkar på vilket sätt vårdnadshavarna görs delaktiga samt till vilken mån. Däremot visar resultatet att det finns en vilja hos personalen att inkludera vårdnadshavarna mer men att olika faktorer begränsar dem i det arbetet. Sammanfattningsvis kan en förändring i personalens arbetssätt och attityder göra att vårdnadshavare känner sig mer delaktiga samt motiverade till att vara delaktiga i dess barns placering på HVB.

    The purpose of the study is to investigate how women view the possibilities of reconciling work and family life as well as how they perceive equality in the home, as well as the prevailing norms and ideals of motherhood. Based on the purpose, I have formulated the following issues:

    What opportunities do women have to combine working and family life?

    What is the distribution of housework in women's families and why?

    How do women view their mother role based on the norms, ideals, expectations and requirements that exist in their environment?

    The theoretical perspective used to interpret the study's results is Yvonne Hirdman's theory of the gender system. It consists of two different principles, the separation of the sexes and the subordination of women.

    I have conducted two focus group interviews to answer my purpose and my research questions for the study. The analysis of the empirical material was carried out with a thematic analysis.

    The results of my study show that women see that there are various causes that underpin whether they have succeeded in the opportunity to combine their work and family life. The study shows that there are changes regarding production and reproduction around male and female in families' everyday lives and that there are changes in the distribution of home responsibilities and chores over generations, although it can sometimes be perceived as the change slowly. According to the women surveyed, there are several different views of how they relate to the ideals, expectations and requirements of the parenting role.

    The recent refugee crises have caused newcomers to settle in different municipalities in Sweden. Different municipalities respond differently to the situations that arise from an increased number of refugees waiting for decisions from the Swedish Migration Agency regarding residence permit. Such variation in response also affects how refugees can access relevant information about activities and initiatives available in the designated municipality while waiting. This study investigated how stakeholders' in the municipality of Trollhättan experienced their possibilities to spread information about their activities targeting refugees. A particular interest was on what kind of activities stakeholders provided, problems they face in reaching out to refugees, and opinions on using technology usage for outreach. Seven stakeholders in Trollhättan municipality were included in the study; a private company, the municipal employment office, a university and four nonprofit organizations. Findings suggest that stakeholders did arrange various types of initiatives but it was hard for refugees placed in Trollhättan to get access to these local initiatives. Stakeholders wanted to reach out to as many refugees as possible but they have a hard time doing so. The study concluded that information access of stakeholders activities is a major problem for refugees in Trollhättan. In order to address the dispersed and hard-to-find information from the varied stakeholders, a mobile app was suggested as a solution to the information problem in order to create a digital cental place for stakeholder initiatives and information spread. These initiatives, if known about, could create a more active and varied everyday life for refugees awaiting decisions from the migration board. For stakeholders to reach out with information of planned activities and for refugees to be able to tunein to these possibilities becomes particularly important in municipalities where refugees are dispersed in various kinds of locations, rather than living in largec amps.

    Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur barnombud på landets Kriminalvårdsanstalter arbetar för barn, framför allt hur de arbetar relationsfrämjande för frihetsberövade som har barn. I studien hörs röster från fem barnombud som arbetar på anstalter med varierande säkerhetsklass, ett barnombud arbetar på en anstalt för kvinnor och fyra arbetar på anstalter för män. Intervjuerna genomfördes via digitala mötesverktygen Zoom och Skype samt via telefon. Studien bygger på ett kvalitativt material och barnombuden intervjuades genom semistrukturerade intervjuer. Det empiriska materialet analyserades med hjälp av en tematisk analys. Anknytningsteorin och det teoretiska begreppet barnperspektivet användes vid analysarbetet tillsammans med tidigare forskning. Resultatet i studien visade att barnombuden aktivt arbetar med barnperspektivet och förutom att tillhandahålla kontakt via telefon, besök och Skype, arbetar de relationsfrämjande med hjälp av föräldrastödjande insatser. Dock finns inte dessa insatser att tillgå på alla anstalter, detta på grund av personalbrist som är en av de brister vi lyckats identifiera. Fler brister som identifierats och försvårar barnombudets arbete med att arbeta relationsfrämjande är resurser, överbeläggningar, och ombyggnationer. Även om barnombuden inom Kriminalvården aktivt arbetar med barnperspektivet påvisar resultatet att säkerhetsfrågor många gånger prioriteras över de frågor som rör barnets bästa. Slutligen visade resultatet en utveckling hos barnombudens arbete med att implementera barnperspektivet men att det än dock finns en önskan om att kunna göra mer men att tiden till deras uppdrag inte räcker till. Studien framhåller ökningen av antal drabbade barn, till följd av ökade fängelseverkställigheter, som en argumentation för att det är en aktuell fråga inom socialt arbete.

    Mäns våld mot kvinnor är ett stort och allvarligt samhällsproblem. Det finns ett flertal åtgärder och insatser för att ta itu med mäns våld mot kvinnor. Trots detta är kvinnors utsatthet fortfarande ett stort problem världen över. Detta fick oss att vilja undersöka hur socialarbetare beskriver sitt förebyggande arbete för att bekämpa mäns våld mot kvinnor. Vidare undersöker vi socialarbetares upplevelser av möjligheter och begränsningar i det förebyggande arbetet. Samhällsinsatser har tidigare lagt mycket fokus på stöd och skydd, men på senare tid har regeringen valt att införa fler förebyggande åtgärder i form av en nationell strategi. Studien utgår från en kvalitativ ansats med semistrukturerade intervjuer som utfördes digitalt. Vidare använde sig studien av ett deduktivt tillvägagångssätt där professionsteorin har styrt studiens fokus. Materialet analyserades sedan med hjälp av tematisk analys som hjälpte oss ta ut väsentliga koder och teman. Detta resulterade slutligen i 3 teman: “förebyggande arbete”, “möjligheter” och “begränsningar”. Resultatet visade att samtliga socialarbetare arbetade förebyggande, men i varierande grad. Samtliga respondenter upplevde kunskap i form av utbildning som en tillgång för att kunna arbeta förebyggande. Några begränsningar som visades var politikers påverkan samt otillräckligt med resurser att tillgå. En ytterligare begränsning var lagstöd som visades ha brister för att ha möjlighet att utföra ett förebyggande arbete. Studien fann att det saknades tydliga metoder och riktlinjer gällande det förebyggande arbetet där vi uppmärksammade att det fortfarande finns mycket kvar att göra för att bekämpa mäns våld mot kvinnor.

    Diakoner är en av de yrkesgrupper som möter människor när de drabbats av det ofattbara och därför befinner sig i kris och sorg.Vårt syfte med denna studie har varit att undersöka vilkasociala stödinsatser Svenska kyrkan,och då särskilt diakonerna, kan erbjuda samt hur diakonerna upplever sitt arbete med människor i kris och sorg.

    Vi harutgåttfrån två frågeställningar:

    1.Vilka sociala stödinsatser kan diakoner iSvenska kyrkan erbjuda vid kris-och sorgebearbetning.

    2.         Hur upplever diakonerna sin roll och sitt arbete med människor i kris och sorg?

    Vår empiri samlades in med hjälp av kvalitativa intervjuer med åtta diakoner i sex olika västsvenska församlingar. I analysen av vår studie har vi utgått från Antonovsky's teori om KASAM, känsla av sammanhang. Resultatet av studien visade att diakonerna kan erbjuda en mängd stödinsatser vid krissituationer. Dessa insatser är främst av medmänsklig karaktär och tar sig praktiskt uttryck genom personlig närvaro och samtal. Vidare visade resultatet att dessa stödinsatser var av stor vikt för konfidenterna, och att detta i sin tur skapade en känsla av meningsfullhet hos diakonerna.

    Syftet med denna kvalitativa studie är att mot bakgrund av Viktor Frankls teori kring existentiell mening undersöka diakoners erfarenheter av hur människor de möter upplever existentiell mening samt på vilket sätt existentiell mening kan relateras till det socialpedagogiska fältet. Detta eftersom vi under vår utbildning samt i yrkeserfarenheter från fältet upplevt att det existentiella perspektivet saknats. Empirin har samlats in genom semistrukturerade intervjuer med diakoner från Svenska Kyrkan. Studiens resultat visade att det finns stora likheter mellan det diakonala och socialpedagogiska fältet. Resultatet visade även att de människor diakonin möter har spörsmål av existentiell karaktär, men att dessa är särskilt framträdande då människor befinner sig i en utsatt eller svår livssituation. Samt att diakonin ofta får träda in när samhällets resurser brister och informanterna efterfrågar ett större samhälleligt ansvar vad gäller att kunna möta människors existentiella spörsmål.

    Studiens syfte är att undersöka hur anhörigvårdare över 65 år som vårdar en partner i hemmet upplever stöd från olika nätverksaktörer, som t.ex. familj, vänner och professionella. För att kunna besvara frågeställningarna har det gjorts åtta kvalitativa intervjuer med två män och sex kvinnor som har varierad kontakt med det kommunala anhörigstödet. Studien och följande analys utgår ifrån nätverks- och socialt stöd teorier.

    Studiens resultat visar att upplevelser av stöd varierar hos anhörigvårdare, beroende på hur deras relationer till nätverket ser ut och hur tillgängliga dessa relationer upplevs vara. Det är viktigt att behålla betydande relationer i nätverket eftersom dessa ger stöd på olika sätt. Motivet bakom valet att vårda partnern i hemmet beror på olika orsaker, till exempel att de vill ställa upp för sin maka/make för att man känner samhörighet efter ett liv tillsammans. För att klara vardagen och rollen som anhörigvårdare, har strategier utvecklats för att skapa mening. Vår slutsats är att anhörigvårdare är i behov av stöd för att orka och klara av sin situation. Samhället har en viktig roll att stötta upp i de fall där det informella nätverket sviktar eller saknas. Ett sätt att underlätta tillvaron för anhörigvårdare kan vara att berörd personal får mer kunskap om anhörigvårdarens upplevelse av stöd och huruvida de upplever ömsesidighet i vårdandet eller inte.

    Studiens syfte är att undersöka hur arbetsrelaterad stress påverkar diakoner i Svenska Kyrkan, samt vilken inverkan diakoners arbetsmiljö har på arbetsrelaterad stress. Studien har utgått från en kvantitativ ansats och datainsamling gjordes i form av en webbenkät som skickades ut till vigda diakoner som arbetar i två stift inom Svenska Kyrkan, varav 65 diakoner deltog i studien. Enkäten bestod av ett antal bakgrundsfrågor och sedan frågor tagna från det validerade frågeformuläret Work stress questionnaire. Empirin analyserades sedan utifrån de fyra kategorier som återfinns i Work stress questionnaire. Specifika frågor analyserades även utifrån arbetskrav och resurser som återfinns i teorin Job Demands- Resources Model och de sju antaganden från Human Relations Theory of Management, samt utifrån den tidigare forskning som finns om ämnet. Studiens resultat visade att det finns flera faktorer i diakoners arbete och arbetsmiljö som kan vara bakomliggande faktorer till arbetsrelaterad stress. Stor arbetsbelastning, otydliga mål, höga krav och förväntningar samt tidspress är några av de största bakomliggande faktorerna till arbetsrelaterad stress som diakoner ställs inför i sitt arbete. Studien visar även på att det behövs framtida forskning kring ämnet för att förstå och minska de faktorer i diakoners arbete och arbetsmiljö som leder till arbetsrelaterad stress.

    This study aims to investigate how government officials in the social services and the police authority experience collaboration at an early stage regarding abused women without children.

    The study was conducted with a qualitative approach and semi-structured interviews to collect data material. The interviews were conducted with three employees from the social services and three employees from the police authority. The data material was analyzed with a thematic analysis where themes and sub-themes were created in order to be able to present the results.

    The result of the study is that collaboration in the early stages is almost non-existent, and that there are no pronounced established collaboration plans between the authorities. The results also showed that the authorities felt that once the collaboration worked, the two authorities could complement each other's roles and thus work from a holistic perspective. It also appears that there are many restrictions on collaboration, such as confidentiality legislation, information exchange and consent, which makes collaboration between the authorities more difficult.

    The conclusions that can be drawn are that the authorities do not cooperate when it comes to abused women without children, since there are no established collaboration plans between the authorities. But also because there are several limiting factors that affect collaboration.

    Studiens syfte är att undersöka utifrån ett brukar och professionsperspektiv hur Covid-19 har påverkat personer som bor i bostad med särskild service. 37 enkäter genomfördes av personer som bor i bostad med särskild service samt 2 semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes med chefer i Västsverige. I den kvalitativa analysen synliggjordes fyra huvudsakliga teman som ansågs som centrala under rådande pandemin. I den kvantitativa analysen återfanns det inga variabler som korrelerade med varandra. Studiens resultat visade att det fanns en differens hur individerna i bostad med särskild service upplevde sin tillvaro under Covid-19 gentemot hur professionsperspektivet upplevde att förhålla och verkställa pandemins restriktioner och riktlinjer till individerna. Resultatet visade att trots differensen i upplevelsen så har organisationen jobbat utifrån rådande lagstiftning för att kunna tillgodose individernas behov i bostad med särskild service. Tidigare forskning och litteratur visar att funktionshindrande löpte en större risk att drabbas av isolering och påverkan av psykisk ohälsa under Covid-19 än övrig befolkning. Detta då de redan innan var en marginaliserad grupp i samhället. Studiens resultat påvisar att individerna själva har fått ta del av samhällets arenor i mindre utsträckning men blivit erbjudna andra valmöjligheter utifrån verksamhetens resurser. Från professionsperspektivet ansågs det viktigt att jobba med individens behov i centrum under Covid-19 för att kunna möjliggöra till delaktighet. I en framtida samhällskris behövs det individuella arbetssättet fortsätta att stärkas och tidigt inkludera brukarna i beslutsprocesserna för att kunna upprätthålla lagstiftningens intentioner samt att brukarna skall bli erkända samhällsmedborgare.

    The purpose of the study is to examine and analyze how different agencies and organizations are acting to integrate unaccompanied children in Swedish society after they received a residence permit/asylum. The method that were used was a qualitative approach and includes three interviews and two documents. The analysis that were used was thematic analysis and qualitative content analysis. The theoretical framework consisted of the concepts of integration, marginalization and socialization. The results revealed seven themes that were to promote integration, employment, children's own participation, religion and culture, opinions,

    participation and knowledge of obligations. In what came up in the concluded was that good man, feeling a participatory and hold an employment promoted integration were important factors for the unaccompanied children. The religion emerged partly be a limitation and an opportunity for the individual integration. The rights and obligation of the produced included the participation in his asylum case and an opportunity to influence this, organizations and government agencies are obliged to take responsibility for creating a functional integration.

    Abstract [en]

    Background. Satisfaction with democracy and generalized trust has shown to be able to link to the cultural marginalization within a society. Research concerning the correlation satisfaction with democracy and generalized trust shows that there is a significant positive correlation between the variables.

    Material and method. The national representative SOM-enquiry from 2020 was used to study the relationship between satisfaction with democracy and generalized trust. In total, 22 500 individuals between the ages of 16 and 85 was selected (simple random sampling). A total of 11 127 respondents reported on every question in the total enquiry (including the control variables). The part that this study is based on included a probability sample of 3 750 people. The number of respondents in which this study is based on, was 1 863 respondents, which adds up to a response rate of 51 percent of the population surveyed. Multiple regression analysis with 5000 bootstrap iterations was used to study the correlation and control for the background variables.

    Results. A medium strong positive correlation was detected between satisfaction with democracy and generalized trust even after the result was controlled for gender, education and income. However, the association did not persist when controlling for the variables age and ethnicity. Level of education is a significant player for the level of satisfaction with the way democracy works in Sweden and the degree of generalized trust, the higher the level of education, the higher the satisfaction with democracy in Sweden and the degree of generalized trust.

    Conclusion. By investing in education, the interplay between satisfaction with democracy and generalized trust should influence cultural/social marginalization.

    Bakgrund: Viljan att överlåta beslut till experter och viljan att öka jämställdheten mellan kvinnor och män anses vara en del i det moderna samhället. Det finns mycket lite forskning kring detta sambandet såväl nationellt som internationellt. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka sambandet mellan viljan att överlåta beslut till experter och viljan att öka jämställdheten mellan kvinnor och män.

    Material och metod: Uppsatsens material har hämtats från den nationella SOM-undersökningen från 2020. Slumpmässigt urval gjordes bland personer mellan 16 och 85 år bosatta i Sverige augusti 2020. Antalet respondenter blev ungefär 1 863 stycken. Multipel regressionsanalys med 5 000 iterationer (upprepningar) utfördes för att studera denna korrelation under kontroll för ett antal kontrollvariabler.

    Resultat: Våra analyser uppvisade ett svagt positivt samband mellan viljan att överlåta beslut till experter och viljan att öka jämställdheten mellan kvinnor och män. Detta samband kvarstod även vid kontroll för variablerna utbildning, kön och etnisk uppväxt.

    Slutsats: Det finns ett samband mellan viljan att överlåta beslut till experter och viljan att öka jämställdheten mellan kvinnor och män. Detta ställer vissa krav på det samhälle som vi lever i där allt mer ansvar läggs på individen. Detta innebär att vi blir mer aktiva i relation till de samhällsresurser som finns.

    The purpose of this paper is to explore how mediation activities in Sweden is made by a Swedish authority. It's about how the participants mention mediation, and how the need for changes that are around mediation as a tool in crime prevention works. My two questions is about how actors view mediation and what it takes for mediation to work between all levels within the various authorities. Through the work I have used the concept of restorative justice and demonstrated how it differs from the retributive justice. Restorative justice is about how to repair an injury, which is one of mediation purposes and where the perpetrator and victim are given the opportunity to meet in mediation. The retributive justice involves the offender and the victim meeting in the courtroom.

    I have used the Social Board report "

    Mediation in crime for young offenders". It is about how local government works with mediation, but is also an analysis of the need to support mediation activities. The report highlights the problem areas and the way to success.

    The method I used is Michel Foucault's discourse analysis. The result of the analysis is about the discourses I find in the report .What I would like to show is that mediation is portrayed as both an opportunity and a problem. I find a comprehensive need of discourse, a discourse of knowledge and an administrative discourse .Then I also present an economic discourse that is not as clear as the other discoursers, and obligations and rights within discourses.

    The aim of this study is to describe and seek understanding of how relatives to children with neuropsychiatric disabilities experience the treatment from professionals in social services. The focus is on the knowledge and relational aspects that can be said to form the basis of professionals' treatment expertise. To illustrate these questions about treatment can inspire discussions that there should be a deeper ethical awareness among the professionals. That awareness provides a richer understanding of the relatives’ situation and an insight into what good treatment is all about, which also seeks more and more in today's welfare society. The issues which the study is based on are: How do the relatives describe the concept of treatment? How important are the professionals knowledge in the field neuropsychiatric disorders, for the relatives experience of treatment? How important are the professionals ability to create a relationship, for the relatives experience of treatment? The method used in the study has a qualitative approach and is based on focus group interviews. The selected theoretical key concept was symbolic interactionism, which together with the concept of treatment and explains and analyzes the treatments significance of the interaction between the individual and professional. The result is presented, analyzed and reflected upon using the study's theoretical key concepts and previous research. The result of the study demonstrates that the informants experience the treatment from the professional as inadequate, as it does not match the informants’ descriptions of the concept of treatment. The result also shows that the informants experience that the professionals do not have direct knowledge of neuropsychiatric disorders. The result illustrates that all informants experience that they are not being listened to and that the informants feel powerless. The result shows that the informants experience that the premise of being able to create a relationship with the professional has not been shown, that is because as the informants denounce that they had to change social workers on several occasions. The conclusion is that professionals’ knowledge in the field of neuropsychiatric disabilities and professionals ability to create a relationship is very important for the relatives’ experience of treatment
