Abstract [en]

Background: All over the world businessmen and women, researchers and many more speaks of the importance of culture and its effects, the authors wanted to examine this in an empirical study.

Purpose: The purpose of this work is to study and compare theoretical studies of national and business culture and then compare them with empirical data to investigate if culture really matters.

Method: The study is a qualitative study where semi structured interview has been conducted with four people working internationally.

Results: the study identifies that culture matters, and that national culture in this study matters more than business culture.
