Abstract [en]
This thesis aims to investigate two left wing political parties, Feministiskt initiativ and Vänsterpartiet's aligning with radical feminism, socialist feminism or liberal feminism. If political upbringing in a identity political or traditional way has an effect on feminist views. Fi and V are interesting cases to compare due to because of the presence of a feminist party in Sweden's political landscape and Sweden's international rumour as a gender equal contry. Previous research within the field is primarily of theoretical sort, some studies on women in participation but no comparative studies between two Swedish political parties in concerns of feminist views, hence there is a gap within this scholarly field. The theoretical approach includes constructivism, left wing standpoint, identity political and feminist views: radical feminism, socialist feminism and liberal feminist, which are concluded in an analytical framework. The analytical framework is used to analyse the elected cases. In order to fulfil stated aim we conducted a comparative textual analysis of our cases official party programmes, to detect similarities or differences in how they articulate feminism. Fi is more aligned with radical feminism than V, both parties have alignments with all view of feminism.
