Detta är en utvärdering genomförd på uppdrag av Folkhälsokommitténs kansli i Västra Götaland som beviljat medel till en samordnartjänst på deltid hos Nätverket De Glömda Barnen under fem år. Syftet med denna utvärdering är att belysa nyttan och värdet av Nätverket De Glömda Barnens verksamhet för kommunerna i Västra Götaland. Studien är en kvalitativ intervjustudie med deskriptiv ansats och design. Studien bygger på material inhämtat genom elva telefonintervjuer av kvalitativt slag med ett urval av representanter för olika kommuner och barngruppsverksamheter i Västra Götaland som deltagit vid någon av de aktiviteter och utbildningar som Nätverket De Glömda Barnen anordnat. Resultatet visar att nätverket tillhandahåller ett forum, erbjuder ett sammanhang där de som jobbar med de glömda barnen kan komma samman och få kontakt med andra som också jobbar med frågorna. Vidare tillhandahåller Nätverket De Glömda Barnen inspiration, påfyllning och kunskap inom området då de utbildar och ger support utifrån en metod i att stötta barn och ungdomar i grupp. Nätverket De Glömda Barnen gör sitt arbete genom sina olika arrangemang, så som stödgruppsledardagar, utbildning till stödgruppsledare och dagsevenemang. Nätverket använder sig också av teaterföreställningar med interaktiva inslag för att sprida kunskap om de glömda barnen och deras situation. Nätverket har i viss mån arbetat uppsökande i förhållande till kommunerna i regionen. Verksamheterna/kommunerna önskar inför framtiden att Nätverket De Glömda Barnen fortsätter med samma upplägg som nu och att de ger stöd till gruppverksamheterna i rekryteringen av barn och ungdomar till stödgruppsverksamheterna. Mervärdet av nätverket utföll i åtta olika teman: Stöd och uppmuntran, erfarenhetsutbyte, nya kontakter, samordning av resurser, erbjuder kunskap och sammanhang, lyfter nya frågor, uppmärksammar att de här barnen finns samt inget mervärde. Slutsatsen är att nyttan och värdet av Nätverket De Glömda Barnens verksamhet för kommunerna i Västra Götaland består av huvudsakligen tre olika saker. Dels består nyttan och värdet av att Nätverket De Glömda Barnen uppmärksammar att de glömda barnen finns och behöver hjälp. Dels består nyttan och värdet av att Nätverket tillhandahåller och skapar en plattform för kunskap, erfarenhetsutbyte, stöd och uppmuntran samt ett sammanhang för den personal som är engagerade i frågorna med de glömda barnen. Slutligen består dels också nyttan och värdet för kommunerna i att Nätverket De Glömda Barnen samordnar resurser och erbjuder tillgång till deras arrangemang för en billig penning.

This is an evaluation conducted on behalf of the Public Health Committee of Västra Götaland which has approved funds for a part time employment to coordinate services for the Network The Forgotten Children for five years. The purpose of this review is to highlight the usefulness and value of the Network The Forgotten Children's activities for the municipalities in Västra Götaland. The study is a qualitative interview with a descriptive approach and design. The study is based on material gathered through eleven telephone interviews of a qualitative kind with a selection of representatives from different municipalities and children's group activities in Västra Götaland who has participated in one of the activities and trainings the Network The Forgotten Children has organised. The results show that the network provides a forum and a context in which those who work with the forgotten children can come together and connect with others who also works with these issues. Furthermore, the Network The Forgotten Children is providing inspiration, replenishment and knowledge in the area where they are acting and provides support based on a method of supporting children and young people in groups. The Network The Forgotten Children is doing its work through various events, such as special days for group leaders, support training and one day events. The network also uses stage plays with interactive elements to spread awareness about the neglected children and their situation. The network has been doing some outreach work in relation to some of the municipalities in the region. The group leaders / municipalities wishes to continue with the Network The Forgotten Children with the same approach as today and that the Network The Forgotten Children supports the group leaders in the recruitment of children and young people to support groups. The added value of the network were distributed through eight identified topics: support and encouragement, experiences, new contacts, coordination of resources, offers knowledge and context, highlighting emerging issues, highlighting that these children exists and no added value. The conclusion is that the usefulness and value of the Network The Forgotten Children's activities for the municipalities in Västra Götaland consists of three main topics. First is the usefulness and value of The Network The Forgotten Children in their work to make these neglected children noted and address these children's need of support. Second is the usefulness and value that the network provides, and that they creates a platform for knowledge, experience, support and encouragement as well as a context for the staff involved in issues with the forgotten children. Finally, its usefulness and value for the municipalities in the Network The Forgotten Children to coordinate resources and provides access to their arrangements to a low cost.
