Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

The purpose with this study is to create a greater understanding for the none-paper immigrant´s situation. The study is founded on three separate interviews with two men and one woman (in Sweden) without paper, who told us about their lives.

The study is based on an inductive method, which means that theories develop from the stories in the interviews. The theoretical perspective that came out of the interviews is power and identity.

We present the most central parts in the result, which has come forth in the interviews, which we show through quotes. What emerged from the interviews is that they are feeling an uncertainty about the future and that they are treated with disbelief. They also feel a sense of powerlessness and a loss of identity. Our chosen title explains the study's result - "I have no power here – but I have non in my country either." To live as a non- paper immigrant involves a powerlessness of not being able to affect their own lives
