Denna studie undersöker hur social utveckling sker hos ungdomar med insatsen korttidstillsyn enligt Lag (SFS 1993:387) om stöd och service till vissa funktionshindrade utifrån de professionellas perspektiv. Studien utgår från de fritidsaktiviteter som finns på korttidstillsyn och på vilket sätt de främjar social utveckling hos ungdomarna. Den inriktar sig också på samspel med andra och på vilket sätt det kan leda till social utveckling

Background: This study examines how social development occurs in adolescents with the insertshort period of supervisionin accordance withact concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments. The insert is for schoolchildren over the age of 12 outside their own home in conjunction with the school day andduring the holidays. This study is based on the professionals' perspective. The study is based on the leisure-activities available on short-term supervision and in which way they promote the social development for adolescents. It also focuses on the interactions with others and how it can lead to social development. Purpose: The purpose of the study is to explore if and how the leisure activities and interactions with others that occur during the operation short-term supervision LSS contribute to social development of adolescents, based on the professionals' perspective.Methodology: The empirical data were collected through interviews with seven informants from four different organizations engaged in short-term supervision. Social development is analyzed on the basis of the socio-cultural perspective that highlights the collective learning.Conclusions:Leisure-activities in which several can attend helps facilitate social development. In the adolescent ́s collective learning, they use the discursive tools to share their knowledge with each other. It is important that the professionals plan the adolescent ́s leisure-activities in groups. Through the creation of a collective learning promoted social development. Businesses' approach is different, which affects the interaction and social development. The adolescents are socialized into the context available on short period of supervision and learn thereby what rules apply in business. The use of aids during the short period of supervision contributes to social development. Aids are physical tools and discursive tools that promote social development.
