Abstract [sv]

Stressrelaterad psykisk ohälsa leder till stort lidande för individer och höga kostnader för samhället. Syftet med denna studie var att utforska hur naturvistelser kan främja existentiell styrka och förbättra välmåendet vid utmattningssyndrom. Vi har genomfört intervjuer med verksamma inom grön rehab. Urvalet speglar den bredd av verksamheter som ingår i begreppet Naturbaserade interventioner. Grön rehab kan omfatta flera olika typer av aktiviteter som till exempel trädgårdsodling, skogspromenader och vissa verksamheter kan innefatta djur på lantgård. Resultatet visar att en kombination av vistelse i grön miljö tillsammans med andra individer och med inslag av kreativa aktiviteter skapar ett sammanhang som leder till glädje och meningsfullhet.

Abstract [en]

Stress-related mental illness leads to great suffering for individuals and high cost for society. The aim of this study was to explore how spending time in nature can promote existential strength and improve well-being in burnout syndrome. We have conducted interviews with professionals in green rehab. The selection reflects the breadth of activities included in the concept of activities such as gardening, walking in the forest and some activities can include animals on a farm. The result shows that a combination of staying in a green environment together with other individuals and with elements of creative activities creates a context that leads to joy and meaning.
