Abstract [en]
This study explores the implementation of new features in Greenmapper Friends, focusing on enabling users to mark favourite areas, donate money, and visualize popular regions through heatmaps. It investigates whether a web-based platform can foster collaboration for environmental conservation efforts, utilizing polygons to connect individuals and communities passionate about preserving natural spaces.
The study aims to ensure scalability and sustainability in the project while effectively presenting heatmaps, which is crucial for long-term success and impact.
Employing a Design Research Methodology (DRM) research approach, the study conducts in-depth interviews with users of Greenmapper Friends to gain nuanced insights into their experiences and preferences.
The analysis uncovers several pivotal themes influencing user satisfaction, including interface design, functionality, and performance.
These findings hold significant implications for developers and designers, suggesting avenues for enhancing user experience by addressing issues related to interface design, functionality, and performance. Moreover, the study underscores the importance of quantitative research in capturing nuanced user perspectives and guiding iterative improvements in technology-driven platforms.
