Bakgrund:

Barn är beroende av vuxna och är därför en extra sårbar grupp i samhället. Studier har visat att barn ofta inte får tillräckligt mycket med information som de behöver för att förstå sin situation i kontakt med vården. Detta begränsar barnets möjligheter att uttrycka sina åsikter och tankar. Synen på barnperspektivet och barnets perspektiv är viktiga inom barn- och ungdomspsykiatriska vården för att främja barnets delaktighet och välbefinnande. Trots utmaningarna som brist på resurser och överbelastning i vården är det nödvändigt att främja barnets delaktighet.

Syfte;

Syftet var att beskriva faktorer som påverkar barnets delaktighet inom barn- och ungdomspsykiatrisk vård.

Metod:

Metoden som användes i denna studie var en litteraturöversikt. Det genomfördes systematiska litteratursökningar med tidsspann mellan 2014 och 2024 och kompletterades med osystematiska litteratursökningar. Detta resulterade i sju artiklar som kvalitetsgranskades och analyserades med hjälp av Aveyards tematiska analysmodell.

Resultat:

I resultatet framkom det två teman som var “Barnets behov” och ”Organisationens påverkan” och fem subteman som var “Vikten av tillit, trygghet och lyhördhet”, “Betydelsen av att få begriplig information”, “Att förstå sin diagnos”, ” Etiska dilemman kopplat till barnets delaktighet” och “Brist på tid och resurser”.

Slutsats:

Inom barn- och ungdomspsykiatriska vården är det avgörande för barn att känna tillit och trygghet för att utveckla förtroende för vårdpersonalen och samtidigt få möjlighet till att kunna utrycka sina åsikter och tankar. På så sätt kan barnet aktivt delta i sin vård.

Background

Children and adolescents are dependent on adults, making them particularly vulnerable in society. Research has shown that children often lack the necessary information to fully understand their healthcare situations during medical encounters. This reliance may limit their ability to share their thoughts and opinions. Considering the perspectives of children and young people is crucial in child and adolescent psychiatric care to enhance their participation and well-being. Despite challenges like resource shortage and healthcare system overload, it is important to encourage children's involvement.

Aim

The aim of this study was to describe factors influencing the participation of children and adolescents in child and adolescent psychiatric care.

Method

The method employed in this study was a literature review. It involved both systematic literature searches with the timeframe between 2014 to 2024 and unsystematic literature searches. Resulting in the identification of seven articles. These articles were subjected to quality assessment and analyzed using Aveyard’s thematic analysis model.ResultsIn the result two themes emerged: “Child's Needs” and “Impact of organization” along with five subthemes: “Importance of trust, security and sensitivity”, “Significance of accessible information”, “Understanding one's diagnosis”, “Ethical dilemmas related to children's participation” and “Lack of time and resources”.

Conclusion

In child and adolescent psychiatric care, it is crucial for children to feel trust and security to develop confidence in healthcare professionals and, simultaneously, to be able to express their opinions and thoughts. In this way, the child can actively participate in their care.
