Bakgrund: Den sexuella och reproduktiva hälsan är av stor betydelse för individens allmänna hälsa. SRHR, vilket står för sexuell och reproduktiv hälsa och rättigheter, är därför en del av Sveriges folkhälsopolitiska mål. Ungdomar tillhör de som har sämst förutsättningar för SRHR och ska därför prioriteras i arbete mot målen. Skolsköterskan ansvarar för att arbeta för elevers bästa möjliga sexuella hälsa och bör ha stort inflytande i utformandet av sexualundervisning i skolan. Sexualundervisningens syfte är att tillgodose ungdomar med kunskap de behöver för en god sexuell hälsa, dock saknas insikt i ungdomarnas självupplevda behov av kunskap.

Syfte: Att beskriva ungdomars behov av kunskap i relation till sexuell hälsa.

Metod: En systematisk litteraturöversikt enligt Polit och Becks niostegsmodell. Datamaterial analyserades med Evans metod för kvalitativ syntes.

Resultat: Ungdomar har uppvisat behov av kunskap inom följande teman: “Synen på sex i samhället”, “Relationer och emotioner” och “Sex, fysiologi och hälsa”. 

Slutsats: Deltagarna var överlag eniga om vilken kunskap som behövdes för att uppnå sexuell hälsa. Med deltagarnas stora spridning i kunskapsnivå i åtanke måste skolsköterskan anpassa sexualundervisningen till den aktuella målgruppen så att alla behov av kunskap uppfylls.

Background: Sexual and reproductive health is of great importance for the general health of the individual. SRHR, which stands for sexual and reproductive health and rights, is therefore part of Sweden's public health policy goals. Adolescents are among those with the worst prerequisites for SRHR and must therefore be prioritized in work towards the goals. The school nurse is responsible for working towards the best possible sexual health of students and should have a large influence in the design of sex education in school. The purpose of sex education is to provide young people with the knowledge they need for good sexual health. However, there are knowledge gaps regarding adolescents' self-perceived need for knowledge.

Aim: To describe young people's need for knowledge in relation to sexual health.

Method: A systematic literature review in line with Polit & Beck's nine-step method. Data material has been analyzed using Evan´s method for qualitative synthesis.

Results: Young people have demonstrated knowledge needs within the following themes: "The view on sex in society", "Relationships and emotions" and "Sex, physiology and health".

Conclusion: In general, the participants agreed on what knowledge was needed to achieve sexual health. However, with the participant´s large spread in level of knowledge, the school nurse must adapt the sex education to the targeted group to meet all needs of knowledge
