The Convention of the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) was adapted into Swedish law in 2020 which has provided a framework for children´s role in participating in forming education and welfare. This thesis examines how the Convention is implemented in preschools in Vännersborg municipality. The questions that arise are if there is room for improvements for implementation, are there any limitations with implementing some articles of the conventionand by interviewing principles there were some concerns regarding budget and institutional collaborations created hard time to prioritize the best for the children. The research question that is presented in the thesis is to identify how principles view issues with the implementation of the Convention and what successful implementation of children's rights is. Further research can be conducted on this project, for instance, one can investigate how politicians and higher administration work in order to create budget and collaboration with other institutions for successful implementation. A lack of understanding or willingness to implement the Convention from the municipal side can make it difficult for the street-level bureaucrats to implement it.
