Abstract [en]

This bachelor’s thesis has been carried out at Chassis Autonomy SBA AB in Trollhättan. The report presents the work for how LinkedIn can be utilized for meeting funding-related information obligations. In December 2022 Chassis Autonomy received a grant of €2.5 million from the EIC Accelerator, established under the EU Horizon Europe programme, to facilitate the development of safe and reliable self-driving vehicles. The company received information obligations from Horizon Europe to educate society about the concept of fail-operational in autonomous vehicles, the system's ability to maintain steering functionality even in the presence of system or vehicle faults.

To fulfil the information requirements from Horizon Europe, a comprehensive guide has been created. The guide has been developed through an analysis of B2B LinkedIn marketing practices. The aim was to formulate effective strategies for engaging target audiences in line with funding information dissemination requirements. While the guide was specifically developed for Chassis Autonomy, it is written in a manner that can benefit anyone looking to enhance effectiveness on the LinkedIn platform.

Alongside the guide, an extensive investigation has been conducted to determine if there are any general information requirements for startups receiving EU grants. How startups effectively communicate information through LinkedIn has also been examined. This report's conclusions indicate that there are indeed requirements for publicly accessible dissemination of results. The requirements for information dissemination serve the purpose of enabling others to benefit from the results and fostering further research for collaborative societal development. However, the requirements lack clarity and need clarification. With the rise of social media, Horizon Europe will most likely impose stricter and more controlled requirements in the future. Due to the lack of clarity in information requirements, Horizon Europe has developed a program guide to increase clarity. The case study report serves as an extension of that guide, focusing specifically on information requirements and utilizing LinkedIn to fulfil the information obligations. The report concludes that LinkedIn is a suitable tool for meeting funding-related information obligations and that the developed guide can effectively ensure the proper communication of information through LinkedIn.
