The thesis aims to investigate and analyze the parallel lines between Airbnb and the housing market in Stockholm City for the period of May of 2019 to April 2022 in order to find their common and separate factors. To investigate these factors, we used the model developed by Todd, Musah and Cheshire (2021). We only used one model, and that was the Cointegration model to check for cointegration. The results show that this paper could not apply specific methods since this research encountered a spurious regression. This led to whether Airbnb affects the housing market in Stockholm City or not being inconclusive.
