Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

Society's digital development in connection with the contagious covid-19 pandemic resulted in an increased use of digital recruitment tools. The purpose of the study was therefore to investigate recruiters' experiences of digital recruitment tools in relation to recruitment decisions and the traditional recruitment process. A qualitative approach was applied in the study and eight semi-structured interviews were conducted with recruiters from four different organizations. A thematic analysis was used to analyze the interviews. The results show that recruiters experience that the dialog, the assessment basis and the flexibility differ between digital recruitment and workplace based recruitment. The results also show that digital recruitment tools can have a positive and negative effect on recruitment decisions. The interview and the assessment basis have a negative impact on the recruitment decisions as a result of the use of digital recruitment tools, while digital tests are used as a helping tool and adaptability increases, which are positive aspects of the digital recruitment tools.
