Background: Anorexia nervosa is a psychic illness which is a big public health problem, 1–2 % of the people in Sweden is affected. It is most common in adolescents and usually girls who gets Anorexia nervosa, but boys are also affected. No self-esteem and media are factors effecting. As a nurse it is important to think about how to treat these individuals. As a nurse it is important to involve the parents in the treatment and see them as an access instead of a problem. Aim: The aim of this study was to illustrate nurses’ treatment of teenagers between the ages of 12–18 with Anorexia Nervosa (AN) during their treatment in a care facility. Method: The method used was a literature review with qualitative and mixed-methods articles. Seven articles were analyzed and resulted in two categories and four sub-categories. Results: The result shows that the nurses have to see the individual teenager behind the disease and be there for the teenager. The teenager must be involved in their own care to easier get a good result in the care of Anorexia nervosa. The role of the family also plays a big role. Conclusion: Creating a good relationship in nursing is of great importance in the treatment of adolescents with Anorexia nervosa. It is of great importance to be able to be flexible and adapt in every meeting with the adolescents.
