Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

The aim of the study was to study how love relationships are affected for an adult depending on the experience of attachment the individual has gained in his early childhood. How the quality of a love relationship became, had a great influence on what different connecting patterns people use. What connection you have gained through the parent/guardian affect how safe an individual becomes in adulthood and how their love relationships become (Bowlby, 2010). The method used was a hermeneutic qualitative study conducted using semistructured interviews. An interview guide was designed where it was open for the interviewee to ask follow-up questions. Semi-structured means that the questions are openand they can be reformulated during the interview. In the results, the authors came up with five main themes during the analysis of the material. These were emotional accessibility, trust, sense of security, affirmation needs and self- effacing. Respondents who had experienced a secure connection in their early childhood, had easier to get a good quality in a love relationship in adulthood than individuals with perceived insecure connections. The conclusion one can draw from the study is that individuals with experienced secure attachment have easier to feel trust in a relationship than those with unsecure connections. If a person has a secure or insecure connection has a great influence on how the quality of their love relationships in adulthood become.
