Abstract [sv]

Bakgrund: Skolan är en viktig arena för det hälsofrämjande arbetet för eleverna. Skolsköterskan är integrerad med flera olika områden inom undervisning i hälsofrämjande ämnen. Gruppundervisning är ett av dessa områden. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka skolsköterskors erfarenheter av gruppundervisning i skolan. Metod: Designen av denna studie är en kvalitativ enkätundersökning med induktiv ansats. 110 enkäter samlades in och 87 enkäter användes till resultatet. Det insamlade datamaterialet analyserades sedan med en kvalitativ innehållsanalys enligt Graneheim och Lundman. Resultat: I resultatet av denna studie framkom det två kategorier; möjligheter vid gruppundervisning och hinder vid gruppundervisning. Under kategorin möjligheter vid gruppundervisning framkom subkategorierna; återkoppling i grupp i samband med hälsosamtal, att lära av varandra ger ökad samhörighet, gruppundervisning skapar nyfikenhet och nya tankar, skapar en god relation mellan skolsköterska och elev, effektiv förmedling till flera och förbättrat samarbete mellan yrkeskategorier. Kategorin hinder vid gruppundervisning innehöll subkategorierna; skolsköterskans tidsbrist, bristande pedagogisk kunskap, alla elever kommer ej till tals, lärarna som hinder och oklara roller. Slutsats: Skolsköterskorna beskrev en ökad kontakt med eleverna efter gruppundervisning. Deras erfarenhet var att tilliten mellan dem och eleverna blev starkare efter gruppundervisningen. Hinder för skolsköterskan att utföra gruppundervisning var brist på tid och samarbetet mellan andra yrkesprofessioner på skolan. Skolsköterskornas erfarenhet var att gruppundervisning hade många fördelar.

Abstract [en]

Background: The school is an important arena for the health education for our youth. As the school nurses are integrated among the students in many levels for health education, group education can be one of them. Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate schoolnurses' experiences of group education in a school setting. Method: This study is designed as a qualitative questionnaire with an inductive approach. 110 surveys were collected and 87 was used in the result. The data was analysed by a qualitative content analysis according to Graneheim and Lundman. Results: The study revealed two categories; possibilities of group education and barriers related to group education. In the category possibilities in group education, six subcategories emerged; feedback from the health dialogue in a group setting, learning from each other increases togetherness, group education creates curiosity and new thoughts, creates a good relationship between school nurse and students, effective education to many students and improved collaboration between different professions. The category barriers related to group education included the subcategories; the school nurse's lack of time, lack of educational knowledge, all students do not get to speak, teachers as obstacles and unclear roles. Conclusion: The school nurses' described an increased connection with the students after the group education. They experienced that the trust between them and the students became stronger after the group education. Obstacles to overcome for the school nurses' were the shortage of time and the cooperation with other school professionals. The school nurses' experienced many advantages with group education.
