Abstract [sv]
Abstract [en]
Organizations all around the world all have one thing in common, a leader who guides. How an organization is controlled is usually characterized by a certain leadership style. There are different leadership styles who affect the employees differently and there is also a different impact on the result because of that. The purpose of this study has been to examine if leadership styles influence the employees in organizations and which style is most customizable if they do. The study has been conducted via a qualitative method, where interviews has been made with totally 12 respondents. These has been made via skype and phone interviews. The organization in focus has been an organization within the industry sector, which manufactures cars and trucks among other things.
We have been able to draw conclusions based on the results we have obtained, linked to the theory we have researched. We have been able to see that the leadership that the leaders within the organization promote is something that the employees appreciate. It has mainly been that there have been traces of transformative, transactional, and charismatic leadership styles. The obvious thing however is that it is characterized by a democratic style where the leader allow delegation and tries to involve the employees as far as possible. Leadership skills contribute with communication, delegation, motivation, and commitment have been positive and have had the most impact. All attributes have been related to one of the leadership styles mentioned above and were most appreciated, which then became the most adaptable.
