Abstract [en]

This Bachelor thesis is conducted with semi-structured interviews and studies and analyzes how the concepts of integration are apprehended among unaccompanied minors from various back-grounds, ages and length of stay in Sweden. More specifically, this case study will answer the following questions;

- What are the asylum-seeking unaccompanied minors perception of integration?

This research has a qualitative approach and is based on ideal-types of integration. In summary, the content analysis of the data illustrates that the representations of the concept integration have both differences and similarities to the ideal types of integration. Furthermore, the analysis shows that national languages play an important part when it comes to becoming integrated into society.
