Abstract [sv]

Bakgrund: Kvinnor med missbruksproblematik är en utsatt målgrupp. Det krävs mer evidensbaserad kunskap om kvinnors speciella behov för att förbättra vården Syfte: Den här studiens syfte var att beskriva upplevelser av behandling hos kvinnor med missbruksproblematik och vad som påverkar deras återhämtning. Metod: Den använda metoden är litteraturstudie, baserad på 13 kvalitativa artiklar Resultat: Tre teman framkom i resultatet; att ha stödjande relationer, att hitta en ny identitet och att bli bemött som en hel människa. Resultatet visar att de flesta kvinnor med drogmissbruk behöver stödjande relationer från professionella, familj och andra kvinnor med liknande erfarenheter. Resultatet visar också att de flesta kvinnorna hade en önskan att finna en ny identitet utanför sitt drogmissbruk och att varje kvinna ville bli bemött som en hel person. Konklusion Slutsatsen är att det är av största vikt att vården för kvinnor med missbruksproblematik är personcentrerad. För att kunna återhämta sig, behöver kvinnorna stöd från vårdpersonal för att finna egna strategier för att kunna utveckla sina relationer och sina nya identiteter

Abstract [en]

Background: Women with drug addiction are an exposed group. More evidence knowledge is required about women´s special needs to be able to improve and develop the care. Aim: The aim was to describe the experiences of drug treatment among women with addiction problems and to describe what promotes and impends recovery. Method: The used method is a literature study, based on 13 qualitative articles. Results: Three theme emerged in the result; to have supporting relationships, to find a new identity and to be seen as whole person. The findings show that most women with addiction problems need supporting relationships from professionals, family and other women with similar experiences. The findings also showed that most of the women had a desire to find a new identity outside their drug abuse and that every women wanted to be met as a whole person. Conclusion: In conclusion, the importance for a person centered care for women with addiction problems needs to be highlighted. To be able to recover, the women need to get support from healthcare professionals in order to find their own strategies to develop their relationships and their new identities.
