Abstract [en]

The French local producer marketing possibilities is the bachelor thesis wrote by Charles Yackx and Marie Sens in the spring semester of 2017 in University. The thesis is written to highlight the problems of French local farmers and discover if and how marketing can solve some of them. It has as purpose to help the local producers who read it but also to contribute with an academic dimension and to answer this question: Can French local producers can improve their situation by developing their marketing? What can they do to upgrade their marketing? We study in the theory the local consumers, producers and the marketing to answer this question. We used a qualitative method to interrogate six French local farmers about their business, their costumers and their marketing. We found that the local producers are not putting effort or money in marketing and that they are suffering a huge lack of information about it. Marketing is clearly something that can be upgrade to improve the situation of the local farmers.
