Dyslexia : Subject Teacher's Point of View (English)
Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the perspective and skills that Swedish teachers have on dyslexia. To investigate the teachers' knowledge of the tools was one of our sub-purposes, which then took us closer to the classroom where the examination focused on how the student will be helped by the teacher.

Method: Through interviews with subject teachers in junior high and high school, we have received answers to our research questions and were able to compile the results. In total, we interviewed ten teachers around the Skaraborg. The informants have varied in age, gender and education to broaden the analysis.

Results: The results show that the informants' perspectives and knowledge are very diverse. Teachers use many tools and methods to support students, and it’s clear that they have a lot of knowledge about these.
