Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka ensamkommande flyktingbarns upplevelser av mottagandet i Västra Götalands län, samt undersöka huruvida de upplevde betydelsen av HVB-hemmets funktion för deras integration i samhället. Studiens empiriska material har hämtats genom tio semistrukturerade intervjuer, där tidigare ensamkommande flyktingbarn delade med sig av sina målande berättelser och upplevelser utifrån den tiden då de vistades på HVB-hemmet. Analysen grundades på teorierna KASAM och empowerment. Studiens resultat visade att ungdomarna hade till mestadels positiva erfarenheter och upplevelser från vistelsen på HVB-hemmet, vilket hade bidragit till deras positiva inställning, skapandet av sitt dåvarande och nuvarande nätverk, upplevelsen av delaktiga i sin omgivning, samt sin integration i samhället

The purpose of this study was to investigate the unaccompanied refugee children's experiences of receipt of Västra Götaland, as well as examine importance they perceived importance of HVB-home function for their integration into society. The study's empirical material has been downloaded by ten semi-structured interviews, where former unaccompanied refugee children shared their vivid stories and experiences based on the time they spent at HVB- home. The analysis was based on the theories SOC (Sense Of Coherence) and empowerment. The study's results showed that the youths had mostly positive experiences and perceptions from staying at HVB- home, which had contributed to their positive attitude, the creation of their former and even current network, the experience of participating in their environment, and their integration into society
