Patients with aphasia have a tendency to have a poorer quality of life and higher ranges of depression then patients with other disorders after a stroke. Deterioration of language function may alter the patient's everyday life and life quality.

; Literature study with qualitative approach. Ten chosen articles were read, reviewed and analyzed.

Results;

Four categories emerged from the analysis; A hidden suffering, Experiences from the environment, Health care workers weaknesses and strengths in the meeting and The meaning of goal and future prospects.

Conclusion;

Our study highlights the need of knowledge among the aphasic patients and shows that an equal relationship with lots of information, empathy, time and support is the key to understand and be understood by the patients. To achieve a better life after the stroke it was shown that a positive attitude, supporting family and participation in community was of great importance.
