Abstract [en]
During the last two decades, digital tools within the school organisations have gotten more attention. The purpose of this study is to provide more knowledge on the use of digital tools within the organised leisure time. The chosen method is four semi-structured interviews with four educated leisure time center teachers from two different leisure time centers. In one of these organisations the answers differed to such an extent that we decided to compare these as three rather than two. One of the leisure time organisations is private, while the other two put in comparison are public organisations. The three leisure time organisations work with different prerequisites, whereas the first has one iPad per student while the second have access to one iPad per 24 students and the third and last have access to one iPad per 12 students. Our study revealed that all the interviewed leisure time teachers involve digital tools in their education through different tactics. In the result as well as the discussion topics the differences between the leisure time organisations are put into perspective. The differences include, view on the use of digital tools within the leisure time organisation, prerequisites, access to digital tools, activities, the teachers digital competence and area of use, those are some pros and cons from the teachers point of view.
