    Abstract [en]

Detail development plans are a way for the municipalities to regulate the use of land and water territories. The map that follows with the detail development plan is a legal document used by the municipalities to shape the area of the plan by using plan regulations. With the map follows a plan description which describes the purpose of plan, presents the implementation of the plan and the consequences it has on interested parties, the environment and other parties that could be affected by the detail development plan.

In the case of deficient plan regulations och plan description the consequences for the afflicted parties can lead to costly and drawn out processes. Earlier studies showed that 17 % of all approved detail development plans contained deficient plan regulations.

According to earlier regulations, the municipalities did not have to consult with the cadastrial authorities for every planning proposal. During this time, the role of the cadastral authority was to make sure the plan regulations refering to property law were correct in their configuration not to cause negative consequenses to the implementation of the detail development plan. The role of the cadastral authories changed in conjunction with a constitutional amendment to the law which took effect 1 januari 2015. The government wanted to make the planning implementation more effective and one way to achieve this was to give the cadastral authority a more distinct and extended role during the planning process.

The purpose of this study is to examine how the municipalities respond to comments made by the cadastral authority during the review time. The result shows that after the first review time 12 % of the detail development plans that the cadastral authority made remarks on had not been corrected by the municipalities. After the second review time, the procentage had decreased to 7 % of all detail development plans. When comparing the actions taken by municipalities with communal cadastral authority and municipalities with state cadastral authority the analysis showed that there where no significant differences between them.

The studie indicates that the municipalities listen to the opinions and advice given by the cadastral authority, thereby deficient plan regulations and plan descriptions are amended accordingly. This will hopefully lead to a more effective implementation of the detail development plans.

HBTQ+ personers upplevelser av bemötandet från sjuksköterskan inom psykiatrisk vård2019Independent thesis Advanced level (professional degree), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis
    Abstract [en]

Background LGBT persons do not receive a good treatment by healthcare professionals due to insufficient knowledge. Studies indicate LGBT persons are exposed to health-related discrimination to a greater extent. If the treatment is incorrect, the persons may choose not to seek psychiatric care. If the nurse lacks relevant competence, this can lead to suffering for the person and also lead to the person's death.

Aim LGBT persons' experience of personal interaction with a psychiatric nurse.

Method A qualitative inductive study with semi-structured interviews. There were ten people who identified themselves as HBTQ + persons who participated in the study. Qualitative content analysis was used for analysis of the data.

Results There were both good and less good meetings. Important factors for creating a good meeting were broader knowledge about LGBT persons. Participants in the study felt they were better treated by younger nurses compared to older ones. Pride symbols had a good effect by creating a more inclusive feeling, in that the care focus had a tolerance for greater openness, something that made the participants dare to open up more easily to the nurse. There were differences between meeting with the nurse in smaller and larger cities. In smaller towns and cities, participants experienced a lesser understanding and was met with more prejudice and discrimination. In larger cities, patients felt more satisfied meeting with the nurse who showed a greater experience, more openness and had a non-heteronormative approach.

Conclusion The participants described how they want to be treated individually, while at the same time being treated like everyone else.

Att förändra utan att förstöra: En intervjuundersökning om hur externa byråer arbetar med rebranding2019Independent thesis Basic level (degree of Bachelor), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis
    Abstract [en]

Companies are required to have the ability to be attractive because of today's intense market. They have to constantly make sure that their visual elements and graphic profile are related to the current market conditions. Furthermore the market are placing higher demands on how companies expose their brands and quite often the companies have to do a rebrand to keep their brand relevant. To do this, companies often have to hire an external party, such as an external advertising- or media agency.

The purpose of this study is to investigate what causes a rebranding and how the external agencys are working with the process. The study also examines which factors the agencies take into account when designing a new visual identity and whether it's important to preserve certain core elements from the previous visual identity. This is investigated based on following questions: "What are the reasons to why a company chooses to do a rebrand?", "What do external agencies take into account when designing a new visual identity?" and "Is it important to maintain graphic elements from the previous visual identity?".

To answer the questions, the researchers have applied a qualitative study where semi-structured interviews have been implemented. Theory is based on secondary sources and previous research that deals with the area of rebranding, visual identity and the different elements of identity.

The reasons to rebranding can be different. The study also shows that some companies have a visual identity that does not interact with their products or services, which is the reason to rebranding. In summary, the external agencies take into account many of the aspects surrounding the design that are brought up by previous research, but the study also adds new perspectives.

    Abstract [en]

To ensure the current and future generations' access to clean water, water supplies need to be protected with protection areas. When the water protection area is formed, the area is divided in different protection zoned depending on the need of protection. When establishing water protection areas, regulations are issued for which restrictions apply within the protection area. The restrictions may result in restrictions on availability that may, for example, impose a ban on the management of chemical pesticides. Such restrictions on access shall, in accordance with Sweden's constitution, be compensated if ongoing land use within the affected part of the property is made considerably more difficult. However, if these limitations are for health protection, environmental protection or safety reasons, what follows from the law regarding the right to compensation. The general rules of consideration are such rules that each property owner must submit to and restrictions that take place in consideration these are not eligible for compensation.

The present study focuses on investigating if the decision-making authorities, when establishing a water protection area, prescribe a prohibition or a license requirement under the general rules of consideration and thereby avoids their obligation to pay compensation. The prescribed commitments that have primarily been investigated are the management of pesticides, the management of plant nutrients and the storage of forest products. The study has also intended to investigate whether municipalities or county administrative boards act differently when establishing water protection areas and if the protection regulations indicate different depending on which protection zone applies.

In the present study, the quantitative method has been applied. The examination of the regulations for the selection of water protection areas was done quantitatively. As a complement, qualitative text has been interpreted. The study investigates various legal sources of law that concern water protection areas and the restriction of access they may entail. The sources of law examined are statutes, regulations, an official investigation and court cases. The investigation of these has been done to clarify the practical function of the law and to ensure how it works.

The study shows that the decision-making authorities to a large extent announce the regulation that may entail an obligation to pay compensation to the property owner. This, although according to practice, is acceptable to issue regulations that mean that the decision authority can circumvent its obligation to pay compensation. In most cases, the protection regulations in the primary protection zone do not coincide with the protection regulations of the secondary zone. According to the essay, it is concluded that which authority it is that establishes the water protection area has no impact on how the regulations are designed. The municipality and the County Administrative Board thus act equally when establishing water protection areas.

Electron Beam - Powder Bed Fusion Of Alloy 718: Influences Of Contour Parameters On Surface And Microstructural Characteristics2019Independent thesis Advanced level (professional degree), 20 credits / 30 HE creditsStudent thesis
    Abstract [en]

Additive Manufacturing (AM) is an uprising manufacturing process for parts with complex geometries and low production quantities. Within the layer-wise building process, less additional processes are needed, to produce the parts. This allows a building of parts within a reasonable time- and costs-range. Especially industries, such as aerospace industry, can profit from AM. Electron beam – Powder bed fusion (EB-PBF) is a common technique, within AM, to produce metallic parts out of special alloys such as Alloy 718. This superalloy is a Nickle-Iron based alloy that has high mechanical properties, even in elevated temperatures (up to 650ºC). The combination of such material properties with high geometrical freedom creates new opportunities for the industry. However, it must be noted that a significant drawback of AM-techniques is the need for post-processing because of surface roughness- and microstructural characteristics. Commonly, the produced parts utilize mechanical post process such as milling to provide good surface roughness and dimensional accuracy. To reduce the surface roughness in the contour region, and therefore reduce the amount of mechanical post-processing, the present survey elaborates the effect of relevant parameters on contours such as the number of contours, scanning speed, focus offset and beam current. By using Design of Experiments (DOE), two batches were carried out: one screening batch and a two-level-full factorial design. In those batches, 15×15×15 mm cubes were printed with various parameters and, after that, analysed by using White light interferometry (WLI), Optical microscopy (OM) and Scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Furthermore, the program ImageJ was used to perform porosity and melt pool measurements.

It had been observed that the number of contours had quite a considerable impact on the final surface roughness and the number of defects. Samples with two contours, instead of only one, tend to have a lower surface roughness. Nevertheless, the parameters and their interaction were found to have fundamental effects on the resulting surface roughness and microstructure.

Sjuksköterskors erfarenheter av fysisk aktivitet vid omvårdnad av patienter med psykossjukdom: En kvalitativ intervjustudie2019Independent thesis Advanced level (professional degree), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis
    Abstract [en]

Background: Previous research has shown the positive effects that physical activity has in patients with psychosis, highlighting how antipsychotics induce weight gain and increase the risk of patients developing metabolic syndrome. Despite studies clearly demonstrating the importance of physical activity and the positive effect it has on this patient group, physical activity is still low on the agenda in the healthcare treatment and management of psychosis. Patients with psychosis often live a sedentary life, where isolation is a part of the symptomatology. At the same time, prescribed medical treatments often result in side effects that have detrimental effects on the long-term physical health of patients. Recent research demonstrates that physical activity contributes to patients’ physical health as well as their mental health, significantly contributing to their recovery. One way to improve the prognosis of patients with psychosis, often related to poor physical health, is to work with patients to promote all aspects of good health, including physical activity – a role that often fall upon nurses. Aim: The aim of the study was to illustrate nurses' experiences of physical activity in the nursing of patients with psychosis. Method: This is a qualitative study performed using inductive content analysis and is based on the interviews of 13 nurses working in Swedish outpatient care. Results: The result is presented as an overall theme, consisting of three main categories and eight subcategories. The result shows that the promotion of physical activity for nurses involves active and attentive listening, and demonstrates the time-consuming aspect of this work, especially as symptomatology and other needs still needs to be addressed. It is a work that can contribute to both positive change and new opportunities for patients. Conclusion: Physical activity is a complementary treatment that should be given increased priority and resources to further contribute to the improved healthcare for patients with psychosis.

Planprocessen utifrån ett gentrifieringsperspektiv: En studie med gentrifiering i fokus för fyra stadsdelar i Göteborg2019Independent thesis Basic level (degree of Bachelor), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis
    Abstract [en]

Gentrification is a concept for the process of change that occurs in a neighborhood where people with high economic status move into an area that has previously been dominated by people with low socio-economic status. The process takes place step by step and affects, among other things, the economic, social, physical and cultural impression in the district. The concept itself is not well mentioned in urban planning or by politicians. Instead, they choose to use words such as integration in their work as it leaves a positive impression. The gentrification process can eventually give positive effects to a neighborhood if it generates growth and contributes to increased service in the area. However, the negative side of the gentrification process is more talked about. The negative effects are characterized by consequences for the residents in an area where the rents increase and they can no longer afford to live. The reason for the price increase and the fact that people are forced to move can be a consequence of the rebuilding and new construction run by the municipality and developers. The phenomenon occurs worldwide, but due to the extensive degree of development within the City of Gothenburg, the study will be based on the municipality. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the City of Gothenburg relate to the concept of gentrification and to what extent they work with its sanctions when they add new detailed plans for an area. The study is also meant to investigate the municipality's position on the concept as well as whether it is conscious or unconscious decisions that make, which in turn can lead to the re-enactment of the detailed planning area. In order to delimit the study, four areas were chosen in Gothenburg with similar conditions where a new detailed plan has gained legal force and exploitation is either started or completed. A qualitative method was used for reading material and interviews were held with the municipality and an developer to gain insight into the thinking about the design of the detailed plans and the exploitation. After completing the study, we have found that gentrification is a loaded concept, which means that politicians and urban planners also do not want to know it. In connection with the interviews carried out for the study, there was a lack of knowledge about the concept's existence, but a strong belief that their particular project would generate a positive gentrification effect for the area they project. Some interviewees also reported for some type of conscious gentrification when they felt that an increased population and variety of population groups could contribute to something positive despite the possible risk of gentrification in the exploited area.

    Abstract [en]

Background: In the mid-20th century, vaccines began to be routinely administered to children in order to prevent illness. This is seen as the foremost medical effort made for public health. The vaccination coverage in Sweden is high, but some parents choose to refuse the Swedish childhood vaccination program. Previous research shows that meeting with parents who refuse vaccination is perceived as difficult for nurses. In order to understand why parent´s refuse and how nurses best can meet them more knowledge is needed. Aim: To describe the nurse's idea of why parents refuse to vaccinate their children and how the nurse responds to these parents. Method: Web-based questionnaire with 15 questions, both open-ended and closed, was used and sent to nurses working in the child health care sector and in primary school. The questionnaire was analyzed with qualitative content analysis and descriptive statistics. Results: In the result, three main categories emerged: Influence on the child, Mistrust of vaccination and The specialist nurse's strategies. The main categories are made up of a total 10 subcategories. Conclusion: The result showed that nurses felt insecure meeting parents who refuse vaccinations. In order to reduce insecurity, nurses highlighted the importance of asking about the cause of the parents' decision and make time for these conversations. Finding a structure for the conversation was important and one example was motivational conversations. Individualizing the conversation and the questions after each parent created a safe environment and an approach of a person-centered care.

    Abstract [en]

The present study aims to, through a critical age perspective, describe and illustrate the structural conditions of the age category of children based on the information about treatment for gambling problems provided by municipal websites. The study has a quantitative character and in order to answer the study's questions, a content analysis of municipal websites (N = 119) was conducted. 52,1% of those websites contained information on treatment for gambling problems (n = 62). The result showed a statistically significant difference in the distribution regarding information by municipal websites on treatment for gambling problems ( χ² = 9,478a , df = 2, p = ,009) and treatment methods ( χ² = 13,400a , df =2, p = ,001) between the structural age categories. Throughout, age as an organizing principle was updated, and the age category of children was directed to information about treatment for gambling problems through municipal websites to a considerably lower extent than other age categories. This brought to light an age hierarchy and from a children perspective it is possible to state that children's structural conditions were unequal. When this was consistent, it is reasonable to assume that there is systematic inequality, which raises social stratification.

Sjuksköterskors erfarenhet av att vårda patienter med demenssjukdom: En litteraturbaserad studie2019Independent thesis Basic level (professional degree), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis
    Abstract [en]

Background: Today, 160,000 people with dementia live in Sweden. With increasing age, the risk of suffering from dementia is higher. Many of those who seek hospital care and other healthcare facilities have dementia in addition to other disorders. Caring for people with dementia demands that the nurse has the knowledge and skills required to be able to provide adequate and safe care.

Aim: The aim of this study is to describe nurse´s experiences in taking care of patients with dementia disease.

Method: A literature-based study was performed, analyzing ten qualitative articles

Results: The results consist of two main themes with four subthemes each. The first theme is nurses experience of barriers to good dementia care with four subthemes, the organization as an obstacle, lack of time, lack of knowledge, education and experience, non-adapted care environment. The second main theme was nurse's experience with conditions to good dementia care with four sub-themes, working in teams, working person-centered, knowledge of dementia diseases and caring environment. These highlight nurses experience to care for people with dementia.

Conclusion: To care for patients with dementia, according to the result, time and knowledge are mainly required. Working person-centered gives the patient quality of care. Building a relationship with the patient and learning how to interpret signals takes time but is necessary for good care and good working environment. Resources are needed from management in form of time, staffing and knowledge development

    Abstract [en]

In the year 1991, the general suitability conditions in FBL 3:1 was revised and the statements in the preparatory work made it possible to form larger properties for housing with additional ground suitable for other purposes than housing, such as ground for smaller animal retention or cultivation. According to prior practice in the field, properties purposed for housing was limited to only containing enough ground to cover the space needed for buildings and gardens. This thesis applies the scientific method of legal dogmatics in order to examine the applicable law. The method includes analysis of preparatory work, court cases, and doctrines that is relevant to understanding how the general suitability condition should be applied in cases where large properties for housing with additional ground for other purposes in rural areas are formed. Based on the different sources of analysis some parts of what could be viewed as a framework for the law has been defined. The study shows that there are three typical cases when it is allowed to include forest land in properties for housing. Furthermore, it shows that the ordinary areal size of properties with the sole combined purpose of retention is considered to be 3,5 hectares. It can also be concluded that forming properties within the general protection area of beaches must be done with great restrictiveness and lastly it is allowed to form properties that consists of more than one unit as long as the units has a functional connection in relations to each other. The applicable law seems to vary from case to case depending on the many factors that must be considered when the general suitability condition is applied. Therefore, it has been difficult to draw more detailed conclusions from this part of the study. This thesis also contains a legal sociologic study in which the documentation from the creation of multipurpose properties in Västra Götaland, Sweden, has been converted into statistics and compared with the results of the legal dogmatics study in order to determine how the law is applied in reality. The study showed that a total of 269 properties had been created in the year 2018. The properties have been created in every council except two, the areal mean is 4,5 hectares and the most ordinary combined purpose is retention. Most properties are created as one sole unit and lastly there are 48 properties that are created within the general protection area of beaches. The legal sociologic study was concluded with five cases where the creation of multipurpose properties which had been appealed to the land and environment courts. They were studied in order to determine what the county government considers to be a property that does not conform with the general suitability conditions.

    Abstract [en]

Municipalities have the plan monopoly which means that they have the exclusive right to produce and adopt detailed plans. A detailed development plan regulates how land and water areas should be used and granted. The plan regulates which land that should constitute a land for public space and an area for building sites. Public space is for example land as parks, nature, squares or roads that are made for the public's needs. Public spaces are usually not allowed to be leased for private interests as they are made for public interests. The use of the site's must be reported in the map for the detailed plan, with associated plan regulations that both are legally conclusive. The public spaces should, among other things, also be available for emergency vehicles. Property formations should compliance with the current detailed plan. Minor deviations from the detailed plan can be made if the deviations are compatible with the purpose of the plan, according to the Real Property Formation Act 3:2. It has been questioned if it´s allowed to lease public spaces for private interests. Certain municipalities mean that the purpose with the public spaces disappears if it is leased for a private interest, but other municipalities think that there is a need. The selected authorities' reasons for the leases are minor deviation from the detailed plan, that the purpose of the detailed plan is not counteracted and that the public place's accessibility to the public is not affected that much. This thesis clear that land which is leased temporary regulates in the Order Act of Sweden and is leased with a police license. Permanent leases regulate in the Code of Land Laws forms part of the Statute Book of Sweden as well as in the Property Formation Act and make the leases with a use agreement or an easement. In this thesis public spaces definition that specifies in the Planning and Building Act and the corresponding definition in the Order Act of Sweden. The purpose of the thesis is to describe the legal situation concerning private leases on public places. The study is supposed to describe how four municipalities and two land survey authorities deal with the issue. The study also intends to clarify the underlying motives that the selected authorities have for their decisions. There are several rights to apply for private interests in public spaces. The authors of this thesis have defined to only investigate whether it is possible to grant land for private interests through easements or rights of user. After completing the study, we can conclude that there are shared opinions about whether the legislation should be clarified or changed. The authors of this study can see that the issue of granting public space should be dealt with early in the planning process. To start setting the issue up early, the authorities can avoid a time-consuming and expensive change of plan. We also can see that there is a need to change or clarify the legislation.

    Abstract [en]

The purpose of this study was to better understand how the universities in Sweden work to prevent plagiarism, how they use plagiarism detection tools and what knowledge the students have or wish to have about plagiarism. This was studied through interviews with teachers and administration staff from one smaller university in Sweden together with a questionnaire for students attending any university in Sweden. The study shows that the information about plagiarism can be clearer from teachers according to the students, to prevent plagiarism as far as possible. It also shows that the university is already working to improve the information so that the students in a better way can understand, but it is hard to know how to give the information and what information that the students need. The examined university are using the system Urkund as a plagiarism detection tool and the study shows that teachers in general are satisfied with the system and how they use it. However, some teachers see an opportunity to use the detection tool in their teaching practises but need more knowledge of the system to do so efficiently. The students reportedly know what plagiarism means according to the study, but they do not have a deeper knowledge about it which they want from their universities, especially how the school is handling plagiarism cases and how the plagiarism detection tool works. The study concludes with recommendations for the universities to improve their work against plagiarism.

Numerical simulation and experimental validation of a manufactured wing profile2019Independent thesis Basic level (professional degree), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis
    Abstract [en]

The background for this thesis originates from a study of the flow characteristics for an airfoil of the type NACA0018. The aim for this thesis was to evaluate how the characteristics of the flow over the NACA0018 profile depend on surface roughness. Airfoils were manufactured in Aluminum by Computer Numerical Control-milling and in polylactide polymer using a 3D-printer, where some of the profile surfaces were postprocessed with sandpaper in various grain sizes. The surface roughness of the profiles was evaluated in a 3D optical profilometer using white light interferometry from Filmetrics. By that technique 3D surface plots were created. The manufactured airfoils were tested in a wind tunnel where the achieved data was made dimensionless for comparative purposes. The computational fluid dynamics simulations were performed in Ansys Fluent and compared against the wind tunnel data as well as with the data from a previously made study at htw saar. The results from the wind tunnel tests show that the surface roughness has an effect on the flow characteristic of the airfoil, where different angles of stall were observed in the comparison. The difference for the dimensionless numbers coefficient of lift and drag show that the manufactured aluminum airfoil performs better compared to the 3D-Printed airfoil in this study. It has a higher performance mean value for both of these coefficients in a span of angles between 0 and 30 degrees. When compared, the results from the simulations and wind tunnel experiments do match in some cases, where the dimensionless coefficients and stall angle coheres. Further studies based on this report are recommended, where small geometric changes to the profile could be tested and validated.

    Abstract [en]

As illustrated by the Netflix special Bandersnatch as a cultural phenomenon, the purpose of this study was to analyze how "new" storytelling forms exist in today's convergence culture. This was done by a discursive case study about TV-critics' reception of Bandersnatch, along with smaller comparative discourses covering both relatively traditional film and TV organizations within the media industry, as well as an online forum. Therefore, it was demonstrated how the convergence culture expanded the expression of interactive content. Themes inspired by the reviews included the categorization of Bandersnatch as a media product. The technological aspects of interactive elements were furthermore used in the analysis of the result. Moreover, this was discussed in relation to theories of design and convergence culture. Finally, the results of the study indicated that Netflix's Bandersnatch was compared to both analogue and digital media products. The film's technological aspects were considered to detract from the storytelling experience of a movie, but rather it generated the type of entertainment found in a video game. An insecurity of the future of film as an artform and a dilution of traditional ownership roles also emerged, as the viewer's control continued to be discussed, not only in relation to Bandersnatch, but also to the overall interactive and participatory digital media landscape.

This bachelor’s thesis investigates the changes in electrical power quality that can arise from relocating switchgear and protection relays, from the power-feeding station, for a power grid with radial operation. The report highlights the potential problems with a prolonged faultclearance time in the power grid. The report uses existing regulations and a previously completed bachelor’s thesis, in which a substantial socioeconomic benefit was concluded, as a starting point for the study. The purpose of this bachelor’s thesis is to determine if unlawful voltage sags can appear in the power grid following a relocation of the switchgear and protection relay. There is also an interest in investigating if the earlier determined socioeconomic benefits remain if the previously unconsidered cost following a voltage sag is included. There is also included in the scope of the bachelor’s thesis to describe a basic method for evaluation of the expected cost of a voltage sag. By observing the nature of occurring voltage sags following simulations in PSS/E for proper power grids several illustrations over the magnitude and disconnection event were produced. The resulting disconnection event was then used in combination with estimated valuation factors to estimate the expected cost following a voltage sag. Which leads to that the socioeconomic benefits can be estimated by contemplating the change in cost following a forced outage in relation to the voltage sag cost. With regards to the occurrence of unlawful voltage sags in the examined power grids the bachelor’s thesis concludes that there is no risk for the appearance of such. The thesis also demonstrates that an overall socioeconomical benefit follows the use of any of the presented relay protection methods. Even though this benefit does not present itself in all the radials for the observed power grids following a relocation. In these cases, a deeper analysis is required to guarantee a positive outcome. The thesis contains an uncertainty with regards to the presented benefits following the use of non-established valuation factors. Following this the thesis should be viewed as a proof of concept and not as a in depth case study for the evaluated power grids. Despite these uncertainties the authors advocates, following the result of the thesis, for the use of relocated current measuring protection relays as a standard method when using relocated switchgear and protection relay. Furthermore, the authors also advocates for the activation of an instantaneous disconnection step, in the power-feeding station, in order to minimize the fault-clearance time of the most critical voltage sags.

    Abstract [en]

This thesis is made on behalf of Vattenfall Eldistribution AB and was conducted at their office in Trollhättan. The purpose of the project was initially to reveal that the way to the 2025‘s SAIDI-goal, probably will deviate from the original goal. This because of the many investments that are made in the power grid. These investments often lead to many switching schedules which often, for the customers, mean a planned interruption of the power supply. What is to be investigated is if there are any disturbances which are related to a planned interruption. Namely, if there was a secondary fault caused by the planned work, that caused a customer interruption that lasted longer than three minutes aside from the planned interruption time. According to Swedish Energy Markets Inspectorate, the concept of power quality divides into two different parameters; continuity of supply and voltage quality. This work will only focus on the continuity of supply, more particularly the interruptions which last more than three minutes. To enable comparison between electrical companies there are a few interruption indicators which for example are SAIDI and SAIFI. SAIDI is the quota of the total customer interruption time and the total customer quantity. The result that has been shown is not comparable to the historical SAIDI-results which Vattenfall Eldistribution AB presents, since different variations of SAIDI is being used. The result shows that a meaningful impact is to be received because of secondary faults occurring with some of the switching done in the grid, due to planned work. These faults could for example be rooted in a disconnector failing, flaws in the documentation that lead to manoeuvres of the wrong device, or simply because of the human factor.
